From idolator: Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town” Becomes His Highest-Charting Single In 5 Years

Adam Lambert kicked promotion of his third album The Original High into full gear last week, which paid off nicely when it came to the Billboard 200; today the LP made its debut at #3 on the chart, behind only James Taylor’s 17th studio set Before This World at #1 and Taylor Swift’s ever-present 1989 at #2. (The Original High also bested new releases by Hilary Duff and Nate Ruess, who landed at #5 and #7, respectively.)

Actually, I didn't expect that in such a short time; maybe those ghosts got awakened by his tum tum tum drums and said: Hey, we need to harness our ghost power for this guy. lol! My guess is the children had something to do with it. When I saw the video of this little girl dancing non-stop to Ghost Town and sings only two words...tum tum tum Ghost Town...Ahh I said, that's the trick, the children, they have all the time in the world to replay the song. lwl! As for me, the song titillated my appetite to write ghost stories and poems from various angles. lwl! The next to hit will most likely be The Original High...his effervescent countertenor!

James Taylor is definitely an icon. I'm thrilled that Adam made #2 right behind him. I agree...i think TOH should be next...after Ghost Town runs its, hopefully long course.....i think TOH will sell millions!!!
Has it been posted anywhere that Adam will be on the Talk on July 18th? If this is the case; this will be fantastic. I have been hoping for him to be on that show again; he was so good last time when he was on after his Grammy nomination! Going to go check around to see if it is officially listed somewhere!
Next I hope he will be on the view again also!

James Taylor is a an ICON indeed!!!:) "YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND" is one of the biggest song of all time baby!!:) My favourite song from his old album. I was a teenager when it hit so big on the radio. Adam is already an ICON at a young age and I'm so proud of him!!!

No need to feel James Taylor took anything away from Adam.
No need to compare the sales of these two, that's just silly.
Besides Adam has already had his #1 spot on BB200. This was James Taylor's first #1 spot on BB 200, and the man's been there for how many decades... There are many other worldwide known stars who have been there for ages and who do not have #1 spot on that chart under their belt...
