Adam Lambert: 'I'm not a diva!'

Excerpts from the much longer Q & A Interview by Mark Savage: Be sure to click on the link above to read the rest!!!!
Q: The album's [The Original High] been getting great reviews. How is everything going?

Adam: I feel really confident. First of all, the songs are really strong. But secondly, I have an amazing team. In the past there were moments where I wasn't too sure I was being looked after correctly and it made me nervous. Really? What are the warning signs when something goes wrong? When people don't know about your album. When people aren't interested. This time it's clear my fans are on board and we've got people's attention.

Q: I think people want their pop stars to be a little bit deranged.

Adam: Maybe. Maybe. But there's a big distinction between the onstage persona and real life. I'm always myself on stage - but there's a certain something that comes out when the lights are on.

I'll pass on the deranged.

Let's all tweet this article/interview to that Billboard reporter :)!!! Especially the part where he says that Adam's THE ORIGINAL HIGH has been getting GREAT reviews in the UK!!!

BTW, I usually listen to music using my smartphone or ipod, but today, I blasted Adam's TOH on loud speakers at home. What a great idea, if I may say so myself :). I heard several sounds/instruments a lot clearer. It was an amazing hour of pure musical joy!

I'm fascinated with this picture. Once again it shows off his perfect features.

I never considered the deranged thing before, but I'm not sure that isn't an accurate observation when you stop and think about celebrities. Adam is genuine and real and doesn't ever put on airs, no hint of deranged at all.

I don't think Adam is a diva, but most people who are diva's don't think they are. Requiring certain things sent to your dressing room, does not make you a diva.

Adam KNOWS how to be a DIVA, he could DO DIVA anytime he wanted, he's such a natural born performer/actor/artist plus an outrageously beautiful sexy beast and I honestly hope the world of entertainment one day embraces it all, also in US. A multifaceted talent of Adam's caliber (and yes his sensual, sexual appeal and charisma is a huge part of it!) is such a rare phenomen.

Following Adam and his career means the world to me, have loved and admired him (as a fan) from the start, love his current style & look too, both in his music and how the man presents himself right now. However, I also hope he keeps reinventing himself in this business over and over again and never looses the dare to be himself, whatever that is in the years to come.
