In a full circle moment, American Idol put one of their own behind the judges' table. Lambert did a stellar job in New York City, correctly noting which contestants weren't ready, and identifying the talent that was. "I voted for you," season 14 top three alum Jax told Lambert. "I was drawn in immediately," Lambert told the East Brunswick teen, and exclaimed "that's an artist" after she left. Winner Nick Fradiani was also discovered on Lambert's watch.
