Oooh-la-la! 20,000 petitions! can't stop him; he's back! lol! Actually, Adam performed at the Padang on his GlamNation concert tour. I have a haiku to prove it. lol!

Actually 31,000 attended that Grand Prix and 21,000 stayed for the concert. This time the crowd would even be more sizable. As for Queen, it's high time they paid their long-lost cousins a courtesy call. lol! Even Queen Elizabeth has visited Singapore 3 times; and Prince William and his wife Kate came on behalf of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee 2012. Kate was then pregnant, a couple of months, with Prince George; but it wasn't showing so just speculation then; because at the Singapore Presidential Palace dinner hosted for them, Kate drank mineral water and didn't take even a sip of the wine placed on the dining-table for her.
Singaporeans by and large are fond of our Royal cousins. lwl! especially Queen Elizabeth II whose favourite Singaporean was late Lee Kuan Yew who fought tooth and nail to gain our Independence. According to LKY he knew exactly how to deal with the British, because he was a Double-First-Class Honours lawyer graduated from Cambridge England. It was the Communists back on home soil that he had to subjugate. It has been written LKY rode the tiger/communists and that tells you how difficult it was.
By the way, The Padang / meaning field in Malay, has a 70-year-old WWII ruthless history. 50,000 males were shot point-blank on that field/Padang and at other locations in WWII, due largely to the British running back home and left Singapore at the mercy of the Japanese. That eventually woke Singaporeans led by LKY, that we have to stand on our own two feet! and we have till today.

I have a feeling there will be more dates coming up. Doubtful they will only do that one show, so far away.

Looks like the QAL tour is spreading its wings, adding on dates as they go along...wah, the never-ending world tour; perhaps Brian and Roger really want to play in as many countries as possible. He has voiced out that they may not be able to get Adam any time they want. Like they had to wait for him to finish his own TOH tour. So tie him down as long as they can. lol! Israel is next on the cards.

Ok, Lam-my, are you going to buy a ticket? We'd love to hear your recap. And I agree with Allysa. I'll bet there will be more concert dates after this one. QAL can't let opportunities go to waste. They have a gem as a frontman and his talent must NOT be wasted.

The petitions protesting Adam were futile, but if people want to add to the publicity in this way, go for it. It will bring forward the defenders and create even more excitement.

I knew from the get-go these petitions won't change the course a tiny bit, with regard the Sing NYE 2015-16; because Singapore style is not like that. Adam was cordially invited to grace our NYE and he accepted...that's all there is to it.
We have total freedom of worship but cannot use that as a platform to catapult one's own agenda; in this case, a small church society which may have outside influence/members. It's okay for them to believe whatever that they deem "lewd" or unacceptable "lifestyle" but they can't impose that on the rest of the people. We are a rather smart lot and can see right through that. lwl!
This time, Adam brings along two old folks lwl! er Rockstars, our long-lost royal cousins. Brian an astrophysicist...Singaporeans looove degrees; a world-class guitarist; Roger so strong, a Sifu drummer...No trouble this time! Singapore loves Adam; I was quite surprised they launched such a fierce counter-attack at the 20,000 petitions by upping them with 24,000.
Let's just enjoy what these beautiful artists have to offer. It's a privilege.
Life is not an entitlement, no point fighting...we have achieved together as Singaporeans!

DRG...You hit the nail on the head; it would give me so much inspiration to write about QAL who have become such a large part of Adam. I will still write, whatever the circumstance.
