Gay Star News: WATCH: James Corden tries to prove he'd be better front man for Queen than Adam Lambert

This isn’t Carpool Karaoke James Corden.
This is Queen.
Corden told his Late Late Show audience on Thursday (2 February) about how excited he is that the band has just announced a North American tour.
‘In my head when I was growing up I always thought that I would make a great front man for Queen,’ he says of the band who had a long string of hits with the late Freddie Mercury as the lead singer.
Corden then starts talking smack about Adam Lambert who is the band’s current front man.
‘I mean it’s all right,’ Corden said.
‘Should be a British man. I’m not saying I’d be a better front man than him, I’m just saying I think I’d be a better front man than him. That’s all I’m saying.’
Of course this is when ‘surprise’ guest Lambert shows up to wild cheers and applause from the audience.

Yea, this Adam/Queen/James Corden skit is rather imaginative; it looks simple but I think incorporating comedy into Queen songs is not as straight forward an idea in the first place; needs much intuition and being comfortable in handling it. I feel Adam had a lot to do with this idea. I like Brian's little input when he said: 'We love you, we love you...' when James felt hurt and sobbed, acting.
I've said from a long time ago, Adam is inherently funny. Not as easy as it appears to pull off what Adam did; first it's got to be natural, not over-acting as in some comic skits and to top that he needs to sing powerfully to bring out the challenge and prove he's the best Queen Frontman...which is real made to appear comical, a dichotomy.

Here's my favourite dichotomy: fun juxtaposed with WW11...Singapore's Surrender and ultimate Retrieval 70 years ago...as City Hall Dome (where it all happened) looks on at innocent Adam shaking his bon-bon. I don't think Adam nor Queen nor the crowd felt the historic depth of this moment at the Padang; 50,000 Singaporeans had paid dearly with their lives for Singapore's return. Beloved genius Lee Kuan Yew picked up the broken pieces and ran like never before, the race of his life.
