Adam's tiger-stripes jacket brings to mind my favourite poem:
Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And, when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?
William Blake
I particularly like the last line, referencing God who made the gentle lamb / lambert, also created the ferocious tiger.
Love the imagery of these lines:
..Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
..In what furnace was thy brain?
..And, when thy heart began to beat,..
Okay got carried away...
So why is Adam's jeans so tattered and torn? A show of defiance? Ah, his creamish jacket reminds me of Pharaoh's fur. I think Pharaoh will like it. It seems dogs' sight of colour range is shorter than ours and yellow is outstanding to them.
Haven't written a haiku for a long time: Let's see...
A helluva singer
Adam the lamb and the tiger
He doesn't waver
Now I'm going to write a haiku for Donald Trump.
Mr Trump a tiger
Wavers, yet commands the future
Like no other
Now a haiku for Singapore's beloved Lee Kuan Yew:
LKY, apple of my eye
Retrieves Singapore
In tumultuous times
Donald Trump volcano
Spews from every furrow
Good luck, bad luck, who knows
(Oooh-la-la! it's a 6-6-6 syllable haiku, not on purpose. I usually keep to 5-7-5.)
Okay, a pure haiku:
Young Joseph Schooling
Fastest Water Butterfly
Brings home our first Gold
I've got one for Donald Trump but it's not printable!! End of this post!!

Hi Tess...maybe you should give it a go; haiku lends itself best when one feels the need to let it out.
Just a tip: maybe start with 5-7-5 syllable format in 3 lines; syllable is the unit sound of a word not the word itself eg. elephant: 3 syllables, one word.
Hey Tess, haiku is used in old folks homes in Japan because it's short and expresses deep feelings. It has been found to slow down the degenerative brain process.
Your above comment is a one-line haiku! because it expresses your true feelings. That's basically haiku.
Lambert Outlaw......Sometimes "End of this post!!"....just means"End of this post!!", doesn't it?
Green eyes on the loose
Waiting for a scrap or two
Don't know what to do
Joseph Schooling
Beats his hero Michael Phelps
Olympics showdown
Wake up!
"End of this post" in this context refers only to actual post and not a prohibition to respond by another person, unless otherwise stated.
Finally! Right! Nor is it a haiku...or an attack on anyone.
"Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"....
