UPDATE (5/1/20): Adam did a promo for "You Are The Champions" (directly below), and there are two news stories covering the release — one from BBC News and the other from ET Canada, both to be found at the bottom of the post.
So... it appears that Universal Music Group has, after all, released Queen + Adam Lambert's "You Are The Champions" as a single.
The video we posted yesterday is indeed a fundraiser for the World Health Organization. But this audio-only video, also released on Queen Online's YouTube account, is credited to Universal Music Group and does not have an accompanying donation button, so it appears to be a standalone single — which we can only hope will achieve some regular radio airplay.
Oh, and, by the way, as you'll see on the credits below, it turns out that Neil Fairclough did provide bass on the track — go Neil!

This is a fabulous performance. Short but punchy, with a clear message. Adam's flourishes at the end are perfect! Not too much, not too little. Just enough.
I still believe that there are lots of people out there who have never heard Adam sing before, let alone Adam with Queen. This song should get huge exposure, and is all to the good for Adam. :)))
Oh, from your mouth, Dee! It would be glorious — and as you(?) or someone else(?) said, what a wonderful thing if this becomes the world anthem for all the first responders and front line medical folks who have been saving lives (or very much trying to) all around the globe — and at least one GOOD memory that can be savored that has come out of this horrible time.
Indeed, I think those glory notes at the end, and there are a few, are just thrilling beyond measure!
The absolute perfect song for all the Front Line and First Responders workers! Bravo Queen/Adam!
Adam's Time For Miracles was out there a week or so ago with the same sort of video that showed medical staff, etc. It also showed some sequences of Adam in the original video. That song is very appropriate for this situation, too.
Dee R Gee....I'd like to see that. If you can find that again, could you please post it here?
Just saw Adam on Entertainment Tonight! The segment started with the new YATC video but then focused on Adam and the Velvet album and it showed a clip of the video!
Nanbert, I'm looking for that vid. Maybe it was short-lived. I'll keep trying.
Bummer! I was just watching MSNBC when they introduced and played Queen and Adam Lambert's Corona virus style "We/YOU are the Champions"....but only a short clip of it, not the whole thing. And they took the clip out of the middle....so no one got to see and hear that astonishing ending by Adam! Rotten choice! It deserved to be played in its entirety!
Dee: was it this one?

And, Nanbert, despite they didn't play Adam's gorgeous glory notes, I'm thrilled to hear that a major network is already using the song, whatever fashion! And big fan of MSNBC, so, glad to hear this, thank you. Hoping it catches on like wildfire all over!
Wasn't one of Adam's songs used a lot a long time ago for sports games? "Sure Fire Winners" maybe?
broddy, you found it! Thank you! Nanbert, this is a very good use of TFM and it gives us quite a bit of Adam himself, too.
And broddy, I am thrilled too that a major network is using the song. Adam is getting some great face time and getting a chance to let a wide audience hear his voice. There is always an uptick in his solo music sales and views when things like this happen. All good!
And yes, Sure Fire Winners was used for some sports event some years back. I wish they'd rediscover that song and use it some more. Adam has lots of songs that are very useful hidden treasures yet to be discovered.
Thanks broddy for posting the video Dee R Gee mentioned. I always loved Time For Miracles! I got excited this morning when I saw an article in my local Newspaper on QAL's WATC video. Had the same content like all the other articles and a small pic of Adam and another of Brian. :)
