"American Idol" had never met someone like Adam Lambert before. He was wildly unpredictable and wickedly talented. The world nearly came to an end when "Idol" ran long and DVRs missed his closing performance that week. He was the unequivocal star of Season 8, with one notable footnote: He lost. Earlier in the season, while Bikini Girl was kissing Ryan Seacrest, producers were spotlighting the likes of Lambert and Danny Gokey, and when the final 12 were determined, only one had never been featured in the earlier rounds: Kris Allen. But voters quickly took a liking to his smooth voice and easygoing demeanor, and he managed to outlast all of Lambert's competition, and eventually the big voice himself.

i'm so glad i watched live that night they went overttime and wasn't taping. i would've been really pissed if i missed adam.
You all know the reason Kris won. This country is HOMOPHOBIC and will do ANYTHING, including, CHEAT, to get what they want. So AT+T helped and the HOMOPHOBICS F.. CHRISTIANS won. Adam is the real WINNER and you,ideiots, know it. You try to make youeselves feel good, but who is on the map? who is on TONS of Magazinns? who made a commercial for FOX? Who's name and music spreading FAST all around the world? There is ONLT ONE answer: The GOLDEN BOY, Adam Lambert. Now, Shut up and swallow hard, loosers.
who was the real winner anyway? i feel so sorry for kris but people put him in that situation. i must admit i prefer adam anytime than kris but i wish kris all the best!
Fuck Kris Allen.....lol...I'm sorry, it really doean't matter anymore. I actually think that Adam has gotten more press for not winning, than he would have gotten otherwise...cheers!
I still can't watch the final seconds of AI. I know Gokey votes went to Kris. I left the room when the results were announced. I love ADAM!!
i know my heart just sinks. esp when it first happened and they were on larry king live i just couldn't watch when they showed the replay. i couldn't go to sleep either for that matter the night kris won.
This article is a bunch of Bull Hocky. Voters did not like Chris the best. AT&T made sure that Kris had the votes to win, with their special smart phones. No matter how much Kris gets promoted, his record sales are not good.
ADAM was clearely the most tallented, best looking, and had the best personality. He is the only one I have ever seen who praised the Band, the music arrangers, and his fellow contestants. Khris Allen didn't do it. Shame on American Idol for FIXING THE VOTE. They can have Kriss-I don't want him--Adam has my vote and devotion.
