Howard you've been around for years!!! And i do mean years. I can remember going to see you at the Candlewood Playhouse in Connecticut in the 80's...when you were basically a nobody. And believe me, it took you YEARS to get where you are today. Give Adam a break....and a few more years to prove himself.

It's amazing how a lot of these media people forget where they had their beginnings and how long it took for their success to grow. It's unfortunate they have to emphasize the negative instead of trying to raise these artists up to newer levels. Stern needs to take a good look in the mirror?

Adam barely got started with his music career. How in the world did he tank? His album is doing VERY well. That is NOT tanking. Tanking is selling around 200,000 copies and we all know who sold that much. Cough *Kris Allen*

Adam's more well-known than Kris Allen so it's more likely he'd get more bad press. But this isn't even bad press, I'm not sure I'm reading into Howards comments correctly. What exactly does he mean by 'straighten out'? I don't want to say he's referring to Adam being gay. I havne't listen to Strens show enough to get a deep understanding of his humor or personality. I know he's something of a prevert. But I KNOW that Howards had he own share of contreversty. So I don't think he has any right to critize others on that front.

OOOOH the HATE in all of you! hyhhy. I actually like Howard Stern and usually find his sense of humour amusing. But, I don't agree with what he says here. I think, he believes Adam is so talentes that he should be more appreciated for his music than for other stuff. It's true Adam isn't Lady Gaga famous but he has a strong fan base and has been on Oprah and Ellen. I think he'll really start shining in Europe.

Yes, Adam made a very big mistake on the AMA's, but he rode it out and is doing fine. Howard Stern? He's gross and apparently those that listen to him like that kind of stuff. In a sense, I agree with him. Tanking, though, is simply not true. My guess (and I haven't heard his show in years) is that he feels Adam was a shooting star and didn't use good judgement on the entire AMA fiasco. Starting here: He picked a song that is a great dance song but it really is about S & M (lol, not dating!) so instead of deemphasizing the lyrics of the song, he literally performed the lyrics. I think instead he should have done something similar to what he did on the video. What surprises me most is that no one around Adam (his record co., his management and even ABC) told him like it was at REAHEARSAL! And the worst part is it was a lousy vocal performance which was unheard of before this performance.

Here's another example of what the average person is saying. I mentioned "Adam" in a telephone conversation with my out of state sister and she said, "oh the gay guy." I was shocked since she could care less about things like that. In asking her why she said it, she said, "every single time I see him on television, he's talking about being gay! It's never about his music." Of course I told her that it was the interviewers that wouldn't stop bringing it up, not Adam but you get the picture. Somehow Adam needs to get it back to his music. The VH1 acoustic show could really help.

Howard Stern is Cluelss about what happened on American Idol 8. What in the Heck does he mean Adam F----- Up. Adam was great--The Best! I think everyone knows what went on by now, and it wasn't Adam doing anthing wrong!

Howard has a point. Adam runs his own show, and I don't think he takes advise well...that said, he is getting more notariety for his life style than a good reputation for his music. People are not thinking about what a good musician he is, only "who is he dating" "how hard is he partying", etc. The last video I saw, he was jumping on a bed in a hotel room and throwing a TV out the window. He is very articulate, but quite immature when it comes to handling celebrity. Grow up, Adam...you are disappointing us with your antics.

Adam is not disappointing me with his "antics". I think he is very entertaining. I could watch Adam read a book and be entertained. He is also very mature with a great business mind. Maybe those who claim to being disappointed need to go praise the other guy from American Idol, what is his name?

Adam's "antics"....Huh. What are you talking about? Are you talking about AMA. Are we going to discuss that forever. Actually, it didn't tank his career. It propelled it. He said, "this is who I am, and this is my interpretation of the song." The vocals weren't good. That is really a difficult song to sing, especially while expected to perform all the dance moves. Adam has never apologized as he does not think he did anything wrong. He is correct when he states that the American public is use to seeing a sterotyped non-sexual version of a gay man. I believe Adam has handled everything beautifully.

I disagree with one of the comments daying Adam doesn't follow advice. He listens to what people say as witnessed by his efforts on AI. He credits Kara with insight in improving his vocal presentation. I'm not sure what people are talking about on this list. If you're going to make a statement that he doesn't follow advice, you need to back it up with some examples.

And Adam is a creative artist. He will take chances and risks. He is brave as Paula was always saying. The meek conformists do not have success. You have to be out there. There is a great article out there talking about Adam's courage. Sorry, I don't have the linke, but I just saw it today for the first time. I think it's from the UK, and it says everything perfectly.

And to the comment that he threw a TV out the window, etc., that was a commercial that he filmed. It was planned. Get current on Adam before you make these statement. It's OK to critize, but have a foundation for your comments.
