Adam Lambert & Sam Sparro's "Voodoo" Is Magic

"Voodoo"--the sexxxy bonus track on international editions of Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment album, co-written by the incomparable Australian electropop star Sam "Black & Gold" Sparro--is finally out after months of speculation and salivation. And it was worth the wait. "Voodoo" casts a seductive spell indeed.
It's a wonder why this so-hawt-out-the-box track was left off the U.S. release of Adam's album. In my opinion, it's one of Lambert's strongest songs...but then again, I felt the same way about "Down The Rabbit Hole," which was also perplexingly only an FYE bonus track.
Whatever the reason for the delay, electronic music does have a much larger audience overseas than in the States, so I believe sexed-up synth songs like "Voodoo" will do very well internationally. (Seriously, Adam needs to book his flight to Europe now, so he can headline the 2010 Love Parade.) I'm already imagining club kids, dripping in glitter and sweat and hormones and green glowstick fluid, grinding up against each other in the darkest corners of Ibiza discotheques when this keening, slowburning, Moroder-esque groover oozes out of the speakers.
Luckily, "Voodoo" will soon be available to Glamerican fans as a track on Adam's remixes EP. And I can't wait until the "Voodoo" remixes come out, too...

I love this song! what's the matter with RCA 19 records? why won't they release this song, and the other bonus songs to I Tunes and Amazon so we can buy them. RCA and Adam lose a lot of money when a song is leaked like this, cause we have got to have it one way or another! I would love to buy it right now!!
Completely and utterly ridiculous that a song like this and Down the Rabbit Hole are not on the American release...not everyone thinks and lives like the "moral majority" RCA, someone on youtube commented on how it hurt that Voodoo could have been his AMA performance, I have to agree.
Sure would have been better than TFM on the FYE CD. It fits in beautifully with the theme of dance/pop diversity. TFM, to me, just did not belong .... I skip over it every time it comes up. VooDoo is Adam all over the place -
Love all Adam songs and Voodoo too. Stop bitching, u will be able to buy it soon
enough. U r not the only once dying waiting.
Anyone knows when soon?????
Voodoo is pure Adam, and I want it! Please put it on Itunes so I can buy it.
well, we are all entitled to our opinions and I respect all of yours. but I think this decision was made based on research, and I find it to be perfect that they are releasing this internationally. I have read a lot of comments on many blogs that people thought adam's US release was full of pop-crap and majority were crying out for more of a Rock vibe. And I think Voodoo is perfect for European Market. Ofcouse we, US fans might not get it right away, but it soon will be released and everyone will be HAPPY.
I sometimes wish that I lived in Europe, they are so futuristic and so liberal...anyhow, I love Voodoo, and I can't stop listening to it.It just takes me to another planet and I imagine myself wearing alien clothes...LOL

Vivian: Be very careful what you wish for. "Futuristic and liberal" Europe is being overrun by Islamic fundamentalists who will soon have Europe under Sharia law.
"Futuristic and liberal" Europe is being overrun by Islamic fundamentalists who will soon have Europe under Sharia law.??????
I don't think so! I think I am with Vivian on this one, Europeans are open minded and liberal compared to us, americans.
Where did you get that Sharia Crap from?? I am confused!
Dorian/Peace!
I am pretty sure I heard or read that ADAM not the producers left this song out based that it did not "vibe" with the other songs. Chill out people. It does take some getting use too. I still love his Sleepwalker he did on Leno. Much better than on the album. Adam rocks!
I do not care for Voodoo. I want more Rock Vibe from Adam. I hope that is the kind of album he does next. This kind of stuff of electronic and so forth, well it takes away from his beautiful voice. Hell anyone could have song that.
Can't wait to see him perform Voodoo in live performance. .This will be HOT people!!!!!
It's Europop. I'm not surprised it's being released there first. I'm not into it, though, I'm glad so many people are loving it. Adam will know how to rock even this live if and when he decides to.
Adam has the vocal power to be a full blown rocker, and I love that about him. However, at this point in Adam's career he has admitted that the music he likes to listen to is electro-dance pop. Let him make the music he likes. His ability to layer harmony over a fluid beat makes his dance tracks crazily hypnotic! I adore Voodoo! It has the ability to transport me into a different dimension of bliss. My only message to Adam is MORE!
