Adam Lambert: No Plans for More Male Makeouts

More makeout sessions with his male band members is not—we repeat, not—on Adam Lambert's agenda when he launches his upcoming nationwide Glam Nation tour.
"That is not the plan," Lambert told me at the GLAAD Media Awards. "I don't want that to become some sort of schtick. If I keep doing it, everyone is going to expect it all the time. I don't work like that. I like the element of surprise."
Another thing not happening? Rent!
Lambert tweeted just the other day that he has not signed on for the upcoming Hollywood Bowl production of the hit Broadway musical.
"I don't know where that rumor came from," he told me. "I was like, 'Oh, am I really doing Rent?' I think there was some interest [and] some talk, but it's not the right time." (FYI: Neil Patrick Harris is directing the production with Vanessa Hudgens as Mimi).
Glam Nation launches in June. "It's going to be really theatrical and sparkly," Lambert said. "You'll have to come. Maybe I'll make out with a snake."
Wonder if that's PETA-approved.

so glad adam says he will not make out with any more males on his shows. Its my understanding they are all straight, monte is married with a couple of kids and Tommy (glitter baby) adam has said he is straight. I wouldn't hurt to stop thrusting his (bulge) at everyone lol

I love the family friendly Adam, I love his music and will buy it all, I will always watch him on TV but even tho he is coming to my state I will not go to his concert. I was disappointed in AMA and didn't like his bulge dances in the other countries. I don't want to see any of that.

Please, Please come to the Tampa Bay Area!!!!! We are crazy out of our skulls about Adam and can't wait to go to his concert!! Don't get so serious about those darn AMA's. I'm impressed and respect the person @5:26 who supports Adam and his music even though they don't like the showy Adam. He may not put on the type of live show that is for everyone but that does not mean you have to write him off- I wish more people were like you.
I understand and respect 5:26 totally but you should still go to a concert if you can...cause you CAN ALWAYS CLOSE YOUR EYES!It is after all about Adams voice, not his clothes, hair or dirty dancing.

Adam is not doing anything the other artists aren't doing. He is tame in comparison to many of the videos on MTV. Adam is a sexy man and 99.9% don't mind that at all. The AMA Awards show was a mistake, a little too much, and Adam knows that. I love his sexy dancing and others do too. Too many times, I was disappointed because he sat on a stool while performing. I want to see him dance.
I loved AMA's. Not a mistake at all rather a genius move, it brought him visibility world wide and I loved IT. IT was the BOMB!!! More AMA's Adam, pleaseeeeeeeeeeee....It is all fun, it is all Rock N Roll!!!
Ilove everything about Adam, but think the AMA performance really hurt him. There is a double standard and he lost a lot of fans that he had gained on Idol,not fair but reality. The music industry is a business after all and if you do not want to be stuck in small clubs only playing to a certain demographic, you have to make compromises. The unique thing about him is he is so versatile and talented enough to appeal to a very diverse audience. The gay festivals,like the one in Australia is an appropriate venue and audience to express that creative side and we can catch the videos. Those that will be offended will be forwarned.He has something for everyone and I'd hate to see anyone deprived and him limiting his audience. I truly hope that TPTB working with Adam do not get hung up on "fixing the AMA problem". To the kids under 21(have had the internet since they were like 5) that were "harmed" by the AMAs Adam's performance was not that big of a deal and that's the demo that's made Lady Gaga, Muse and Tokio Hotel huge internationally.

Don't be so hard on fans that don't like the in-your-face sexual performances. I love Adam, but I don't like any performer(male or female) shoving sex in my face. If Adam wants to be the male version of that kind of performance(Brittany Spears type), I think he should aim higher. He is too talented for that.
I agree with anon 8:38. Adam has said he doesn't want to judged for his sexuality, but he is an artist, and its his singing he should be judged by. You cannot have it both ways Adam.If his gigs are for gays then go for it, but if for anything else then make it family friendly, and I am not talking about kids only, us older kids do not like it either. He is too talented . We all know he is gay, let it end there.
