Here are some other media articles: (And info about how to record YOURSELF singing "Imagine"!!)

From Pop Sugar:

"UNICEF Reimagines John Lennon's "Imagine" as the World's Biggest Sing-Along"

"Generations of activists have been inspired by John Lennon's "Imagine," but the song will take on a whole new meaning — and sound — as of today. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child (which was ratified by the General Assembly on Nov. 20, 1989), UNICEF is joining forces with Yoko Ono and producer and DJ David Guetta to launch the #IMAGINE project — the world's largest sing-along to bring awareness to UNICEF and its global mission."

"The project is a multimedia happening with global stars like Katy Perry, Will.i.am, Idris Elba, Seth Green, Angelique Kidjo, Daniela Mercury, and Priyanka Chopra [And ADAM LAMBERT!!!] lending their voices to a black and white video recording of the legendary "Imagine." Lennon and Ono's voices can be heard in clips from old recordings. Through a free, downloadable app, individuals can record themselves singing "Imagine" next to their favorite singers along with their thoughts on a better world for kids. The recordings can then be shared with families, friends, and UNICEF. In late December, Guetta will compile all of the celebrity and individual recordings into a track that will make its debut on Jan. 1 simultaneously in Times Square and around the world."

This is how to personally participate in this worldwide event on January 1st!!!

KATY PERRY, ADAM LAMBERT AND MORE COVER 'JOHN LENNON'S 'IMAGINE' All to raise awareness for Unicef

"Katy Perry, Adam Lambert and many more have released a charity cover version of John Lennon's 'Imagine', that David Guetta will remix."

"The video couldn't have a better cause as has been created by Unicef to raise awareness of children's rights. The line-up is suitably diverse with Abba's Bjorn Ulvaeus, Butch Vig, Adam Lambert, Idris Elba, Craig David, will.i.am and Nichole Scherzinger all singing lines."

"Yoko Ono, who organized the event, announced: “A dream you dream alone may be a dream, but a dream two people dream together is a reality.""

"From UNTV: General Assembly: 25th Anniversary Of The Adoption Of The Convention On The Rights Of The Child"

"Started on Nov 20, 2014 20 November 2014 marks an important date on the global calendar: the 25th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child – the most widely ratified legal agreement to protect child rights. To mark this day and generate much needed awareness and funds, UNICEF is embarking on The #IMAGINE Project – one of the world’s largest-ever combined music recordings, to one of the world’s most loved songs, John Lennon’s Imagine."

"Through a new App, music artists, celebrity influencers including athletes and actors, and people around the world will be able to record their contribution (vocals and video) which will be mixed together to create a million voices ‘world’ version of the song Imagine, produced by David Guetta for UNICEF, in support of children around the world."

"2014 also marks two other UNICEF anniversaries: the 60th Anniversary of UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassadors (GWAs) Programme (past and present GWAs include Danny Kay, Audrey Hepburn, David Beckham, Katy Perry, amongst others) and the 35th Anniversary of the Music for UNICEF Concert – a huge gathering of music stars such as ABBA, Bee Gees, Olivia Newton-John and Rod Stewart, in 1979 to help raise awareness and funds for UNICEF."

"Programme includes:" "• Performances by UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors and influential singers representing regions from around the world: Angelique Kidjo; Daniela Mercury; Sonu Nigam; Laleh, performing ABBA’s ‘Chiquitita’ live, with Bjorn of ABBA joining onstage at the end; Kristian Kostov."

"• Projected video performances by UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors and influential singers representing regions from around the world, including Katy Perry, Nancy Ajram, Priyanka Chopra, Yuna Kim and others [including Adam Lambert]."

"• Projected video segments from the 1979 Music for UNICEF Concert to acknowledge the 35th Anniversary of that historic concert."

"• Grand finale of a performance of ‘Imagine’, led by the 15 year old Russian singer, Kristian Kostov, who is then joined by all artists on the main stage of the Hall where Yoko Ono sits at a white piano; all are accompanied by a 65 person children’s choir coming down the aisles from the back of the Hall to the stage"
