Adam Lambert asks fans for donations in lieu of tour gifts, and updates on fan club!

Adam Lambert has a devoted group of fans, and with that comes a plethora of gifts. Unfortunately, the "American Idol" singer is combating a problem many artists face while out on tour -- there are so many gifts coming in his direction, and only so much space for him to put them.
Therefore, Adam came up with a new idea Monday night, which he posted to everyone via his Twitter:
"Been doing lots of thinking...Last year on the road I received so many thoughtful gifts from all of you. But I very quickly ran out o' room
"Instead of giving me gifts, why not donate 2 donorschoose.org or other charity in my name? U can print a reciept 4 me and personalize it:)"
Adam also announced that his Glam Nation Tour will feature about an hour of his music, in addition to performances from Allison Iraheta and Orianthi. The tour begins on June 4 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
This certainly also isn't the first time that Adam has reached out to Donorschoose.org to show his support -- he even made a classroom visit earlier this year to see some children.

So, we have to make sure that ppl are buying his music, so, we need to hear him on the radio.

i think he was talking about his mom running the fan club. that will be great.
BTW ,if you don't know how to request check your radio station's web site. or call them and ask. Most of them have a text number. it's VERY VERY easy.

Hey fans - 4:20pm is so right... and if you have anxiety about making a phone call or axiety about getting a live voice, or even stress about the time it takes to possibly do it over the phone - YES YES - many stations you can text or email and it's so quick and easy. Check it out sometime when you have a few extra minutes if you haven't done so already.

Just chiming in to agree with the above in support of fannish activity in support of Adam. Twitter, FaceBook and sites like LiveJournal can all help Adam—leave positive comments. If Glam Nation is coming to a town near leave a comment on the venue’s site and with the local paper‘s online site. Give FYE as gifts. Text IIHY to your local radio.
FANtastic idea to give in Adam's name. It not only helps children, but also reminds people that Adam is a loving, giving being, sharing his success with those less fortunate.It may even cause some people to realise what a thoughtful, caring person such as Adam can do to make the world a better place.He indeed spreads love. funbunn40
What a great idea! Remember many, many charities allow you to make a gift in someone’s honor. Some charities publish the names of the donors and honorees in their annual reports and on their websites. Wouldn’t be something to have Adam’s name listed as an honoree in all this diverse publications!

I just gave a donation and I can't explain how amazing I feel.
