Hi Guys,

I tried to translate the interview:Here it is,

Adam Lambert is a born entertainer. The extravagant American is already a concept in the United States, and now For Your Entertainment is finally released in The Netherlands.

Extravagant, flamboyant and an enormous dose of ambition. If Adam Lambert enters the room, you immediately know that this is an rising star, as far as he isn't a star already. In American Idol he already showed that he has unprecedented talents, and the album For Your Entertainment is fully in his own league. Established talents like Lady GaGa, Muse and The Darkness stand in the line to write a song for him and he stood on a stage with Queen's Brian May. He's got the voice, he's got the looks and he's got the attitude, and he's proud of it. Validly!

In the US everybody knows you from American Idol, where you came in second. Would have the first place offered you more?

"I don't know, that's not the way I look at it. It was for me a way to put myself in the spotlights, I've sung a lot of years. I don't think I would have lost my freedom if I had won, a lot of people think that you don't have anything to say anymore, but that's not the case. I've always felt free in that matter."

Some people claim that you didn't win because you're openly gay. What do you think about all the fuss about that?

"It was, for a lot of people, indead an issue, but that highly surprised me. They also claimed that I came out during American Idol. That's not true at all, I've been out since I was eighteen and I've never done any efford to hide that I'm gay. So everybody basically was causing this noise about something that was, for me, the most normal thing in life. But I've had a lot of positive reactions too, though. A woman from Utah wrote, where a lot of people are chiefly Mormon, that she's always has been against gays, but that I showed her that there was nothing wrong with that. Those reactions make me truly happy."

You've had a couple of years expierence in theatre, do you use that on stage now?

"Yeah, of course there are similarities. I have learned to sing and act well. And although I don't really have to act right now, the theatrical ability is something that I'd like to keep using. I love bells and whistles, glitter and show. I've loved that since I was a kid, and it made me as an artist. Shows like that kinda got out of fashion, but I would think it's boring to do otherwise. Besides, there are a lot of female artists who do have a beautiful, spectaculair show, but men aren't 'supposed' to do that so often. Someone like Michael Jackson did, of course. I thought that was brilliant."

You wear the most spectaculair outfits on stage. Have you never made a fashion-miss?

"Haha, undoubtedly. But actually you need to ask me that in about twenty years. As it is for now, I'm not ashamed of anything. In the contrary. Say for yourself, glitter, studs and leather.. isn't that amazing?! I go for that matter quite separate. That's why I'm an artist, it's all a part of being an artist, in my opinion. Otherwise it would be boring."

Was it a goal for you to bring the guy-liner back in the fashion?

"Haha, if I could.. you know, all big artists I like, wear makeup, and certainly eyeliner. Crazy enough they're almost all straight. So I'll make it to my mission to make it a trend again. It looks so mysterious."

Mysterious? But you have, in contrary to many other stars, nothing to hide, have you?

"Haha, no. I've thought about it for a while, to have this wall around me, so there was something to guess for other people, but that is just not me. It doesn't fit me at all, it's not who I am. If I have an opinion about something, I say it. I'm an open book, I can't be anything else. This is who I am."

In that case: do you have a nice effusion for us?

"I'm single. I'm very, very, very single. And did I already say I'm single?"!!!!!

I hope i did it right! Enjoy
Nice interview and beautiful picture of Adam. Those eyes!!!! Hollandfan

Hollandfan - Thanks for the translation. We all appreciate it so much.

8:16 Thanks for the improved scan. Is this man capable of a bad photo? The camera loves him.

Adam Fix - You might want to ask Be Gentle for some help. She certainly sounds experienced and might be willing to add to the conversation. lol

There also is an other short interview in the Hitkrant:

Here it is:

Headline: Guys also may wear make-up.

When did you start wearing make-up?

When I was eighteen, I moved to LA. I was just coming out, and for the first time I was going out in gaybars. And I met some crazy, but nice transvestites. Their make-up was great. And soon I left my home wearing make-up where Kesha and Lady Gaga would be jealous at.!Hahaha

Do you always wear make-up?

On ordinary days I only wear mascara and eyeliner. But if I go out, Than my Face looks like a party.

Do you get any comments for wearing make-up?

Sometimes people say that make-up is only for women. Thats oldfashion!. Trousers/Pants? aren't only for men? You know those people can often use a little make-up themselves. Hollandfan
