Great Interview, people are now focusing on Adam The Entertainer as apposed to the interview contents months ago.
Hadnt heard the comment before about Gene Simmons being "not so nice" towards Adam after they performed, a little bit of the green eyed monster maybe on Genes part.

That "how would you like to be remembered" part. He makes it sound so ordinary but THAT is what makes him so appealing, addicting and like those gasping fans said, "I would die for him". It must be scarey to hear that but I know what they mean. He has had a profound effect on people and like that one interviewer said, "you can't close that door now even if you wanted to". He shares his strength, courage, energy, beauty, talent, compassion and search for love in all its life sustaining forms. It would be impossible to go back now and see him as just an ordinary entertainer. But, it's all good Adababe - we just mean we would do anything to keep you around forever!!

Great comments, everyone! Yes, this was a great interview because - wow! - did you hear how long they let him talk at one point, without interrupting him?? It's when he was talking about having to quit Wicked to audtion for Idol, etc.

One thing, though - was it just me, or did that annoying, repetitve, electronic noise (music?) in the background make it hard to hear/concentrate on what Adam was saying?

In reference to Gene Simmons- he said it was a mistake for Adam to state that he was gay. He said he wouldn't succeed in the business after "coming out". I no longer watch Gene's reality show!!!

Gene who?

In the past, "coming out" was considered a detriment and Adam has in a way, set a precedent. I think there are many that were surprised at how powerful and talented Adam is and believed that the AMA show would end his career on top of being gay. Gene's view of a rocker is someone like himself, bragging about sleeping with 4,000 women.[ His #]That's what rockers did back in the day, all sex, booze, trashing hotel rooms,etc. Gene never drank or smoked, but certainly had no respect for the ladies and was drawing on his own success. All in Kiss knew Adam could sing and maybe Gene thought he was making a mistake. The time is right for Adam to just be himself. The world loves Adam for who he is, kind,respectful, loving. Who can argue with that? funbunn40

I could go on and on about my take on Gene Simmons, and his view on Adam's position in the music industry, and his own actually (one thing they have in common anyway is their feirce business savvy)... but I think this time, for once :), I'll leave my opinions out of it and just say that - it will be satisfying to see Adam's sweet success answer Gene's concerns!

Hi MGF! Actually you are right in saying how satisfying it will be to see Adam's sweet success answer Gene's concerns. Gene has always been a master of self promotion which has worked for him, but in a very narcisstic way. I think Adam's greatest appeal is his every man, non-diva attitude. He doesn't have to promote himself. He just is... beautiful, talented, appreciative. funbunn40
