Happy Veterans Day!

From navywife1977 (the person who uploaded the video):.

"Adam Lambert came to MCAS Miramar on May 8th 2009. My son was selected to go on stage and ask him a question, so we got to meet him and have our pictures take with him. Everyone has been asking what I wispered in his ear, and all I said was that it was important for us as his fans to not let American Idol change who he is, to be himself, and his fans will support him. He thanked us for that. He was very kind, and VERY humble."

This makes me so teary-eyed! This would probably have been my introduction to Adam had my husband been stationed MCAS Miramar instead of MCAS Cherry Point. Sigh. I hope old friends of mine got to see this spectacular performance.

Thank you veterans!

One of the most beautiful renditions of The National Anthem I have ever heard. Too bad they don't ask him to open the Super Bowl. Most singers can't handle this song--gets very pitchy unless your voice is trained.

ADAMAZING.....thank you veterans....

Very beautiful. He sings that difficult song effortlessly. Such talent and perfect pitch. Thanks for posting on this day.

Adam should be winning all the awards this year. The voice is from heaven. It is so emotional.

@12.43
I presume same as Remembrance Day in the UK. A day to remember ex service men and women that have died.

This has me in tears. You know with all the outer beauty Adam possesses, he has the inner beauty as well. I don't care what kind of outer "move" he makes, inside his heart is pure.
God bless all veterans...

Thankyou 24/7 for posting this beautiful video of Adam singing our national anthem honoring our veterans and sevicemen everywhere and to the navy wife who shared this video.The biggest thanks to all of our vets that have given so much and all of our military and their families. Adam singing acapella without any glitter or glam is as it should be for our anthem, just pure vocal perfection, simply with class. Nothing more needed. funbunn40

Amen to all the nods to Adam. Perhaps one of the most touching renditions i've ever heard so far unless he himself comes up with another one. It is extremely difficult to sing that anthem a cappella because you have to be a powerhouse in order to give justice to it. When introducing Adam to our prospective converts this is a must see for them. Thanks for the reminder 24/7. There has to be an effective way other than winning awards to let others discover the gift that AIS8 has given to the world. No pan intended but other than Kelly C., Carrie U., Chris D. & a few more, ADAM being in a league of his own, is one of the greatest finds of AIS8. My focus is on the vocals & not the hit songs just to be clear because if the basis will be empirical data again, of course Adam is way far behind being different and being a newbie in the scene. Again this is JMHO :D

Off subject but today I brought Adam Lambert Tour edition. It has a stripped DVD which includes his videos FYE, IIHY & WYWM also has the making of IIHY. The CD has 5 bonus tracks. Just wondering is this on sale worldwide or just selected countries? I brought mine in Brisbane it was #18. Have watched it a couple of times it is really, really, the bestest thing ever. I can watch Adam as much as I want now! It was a early xmas pressie to myself!!!!!!

I listened to David Archuleta singing the anthem too. He has a nice voice but lost his breath a couple of times. He hasn´t got that third lung that Adam has. I get a lump in my throat when I hear Adam, and it isn´t even my anthem.

Most people do stupid things in their youth that they later regret, especially under the influence of substances that were prevelant at Burning Man. I wouldn't be surprised that the young there were not happy with the "establishment", just like the hippies and beatniks of other generations. As tasteless and disrespectful as it is, it wasn't on a public streetcorner and he was among his friends. I prefer to chalk it up to youth and focus on the beautiful,clear minded video that we see here. Love the strength of the last note/word "brave" and his heartful rendition. funbunn40

After (reluctantly..) watching the video that the "really helpful" poster referred to above from Burning Man, I have to to say that it reminds me of the times in the 1960's and early 1970's when political commentary, activism, and disagreement were alive and well, and things like this were not too unusual, particularly on the college campuses (mine was a pretty liberal one...) and the "hippie" movement...I'm assuming Burning Man embraces much of that philosophy today, lots of creative thought along with that counter-culture vibe, which obviously includes political commentary and some satire...While it is a little embarrassing to see, and I would imagine Adam might cringe to see it now, it is what it is. There are certainly worse things by far...And yes there may have been some "substances" involved..Adam has been very generous with his time in visiting military bases this past year, visiting the troops and their families, including the one here in WA, Lewis-McCord, to very little fanfare or notice by the media...And as you said, we all have things we did in our youthful exuberance that we would rather forget. Up until a few years ago, this would not have even come up, as the internet and You tube hadn't been invented yet...and unless you made it on the 6 o'clock news, no one would be the wiser...By the way, I never made it on the 6 o'clock news...Phew!
