Well 4:38pm, I guess that I'd rather see a word like "amazing" be over used than some word expressing hate or ugliness, which I suppose does happen as well on a daily basis, but maybe you see my point ... now perhaps we can move on and comment on the positive nature of the content in this thread item! Sheesh, a positive thread, and this is how it starts off... well, what isn't meaningless are the dollars that Donorschoose has raised, and I hope the international organization that Lambert has hooked up with reaps a similarly positive result from their association with him.

What's wrong with "amazing", if anyone said anything I did was amazing, I would take it as a huge compliment. Which is why Adam used it here, he thinks his fans are "amazing"

I think it is 'amazing" that there are so many grumpy people in here. I also think the word "amazing" is a good word to describe Adam.

I think trolls are here tonight. I've noticed it in another thread. Trolls trying to stir up trouble, let us regulars (w/ tags and regulars who don't use tags) not get down in the muck and mire with them. I guess these comments could be by Lambert fans that just have these particular feelings, but my feeling is that there are trolls present tonight.

whoa, Trolls have been restless lately.Hovering over sites, first to comment.Oh well it gives them something to do. This is epic news, I find the entire thing lovely, and I am astounded by the magnitude of the wrath I am finding among those who appear to have lost any semblance of credibility or sense of humor on this controversial subject.
To amaze or not to amaze, that is the question--the answer is amusing, similar, but different. This post makes about as much sense as all the above. I am astonished and stupefied (all of which means amazed). LOL

I just think that Adam IS amazed at all of the support he receives from his fans, at least the ones that don't make fun of the words he uses to describe them..I think he is humbled and thankful for that...and amazed to be in the place he finds himself in now..It is an excellent and descriptive word when used properly...and I don't even remotely think he is using "amazing"in a cliche'd or disingenuous way at all. And I am anxious to see what international charity he teams up with..I'm sure it will be an "amazing" one...LOL!!! (At least he didn't say "F'n amazing.." which might been more worthy of discussion...but also very true..IMHO)

@Anon 12:24, I don't think anyone "bashed" 4:38pm actually, I think the comments were funny and/or smart and/or clever and rather lighthearted, like many of Lambert's fans. I posted one above, which I might not have done if 4:38's post wasn't the VERY FIRST COMMENT for such a nice thread topic! The thought of someone reading that specific information and having that feeling about the word amazing be the first thing he/she was compelled to post, well, that compelled me to post. But again, I don't think the comments that followed were bashing at all! In fact, I think most were spot on, using humor and wit. So many of Lamberts fans are intelligent, well writtin/spoken, witty, civil, SOPHISTICATED, I enjoy that. (and oh btw, I would've posted my tag if you'd have posted yours ;), but it's all good, lol, let's go have a great day friend).

@7:14 As far as the charity aspect of this post, I commend Adam for turning nonsense into giving help to others (schools). Past posts or mentions of Adam's DonorsChoose in this website have mostly fallen on deaf ears with little or no response. It doesn't surprise me at all that so many have bounced off the walls about the word amazing, totally ignoring the up coming charity. Every negative post could have ignored me completely and talked about the goodness of charity and Adam's generosity with his name.

I'm real sure that I have no power in influencing any person's response to the charity, so it looks like the best hope here is that negative publicity is better than none at all.
