Love his sultry eyes when he was backstage getting the bindi applied. And totally cracked up at the lip-syncing little boy footage! I just love all facets of Adam's sparkling personality!
hahah! Even at such a young age you can already see the tongue flicking talent coming out of him‼ And also love the flash light effects while Adam is dancing‼ :)
As a teacher, my favorite part was when his former teacher teared up when talking about the lyrics to Mad World and how they reflected the things the young Adam she taught was going through. No wonder Adam has so much repect for teachers. It made me think of the students I have had that lingered after my class instead of going out to recess...the ones who felt they didn't fit in. If anyone here is thinking of going into teaching please do it! You really do get to make an impact on someone's life.
What an adorable child! HaHa....started the tongue flicking at a very young age! Hilarious! Sure turned out to be a gorgeous, mega-talented young man! How lucky we all are to have Adam Lambert in our lives! Wow! The pleasure and joy he brings to the world! Love you so much, Adam!!!
Ratings for AMA was down by 22% from last year. Yayy! I didn't watch the show at all. I was too hyped up to watch Adam's story on E! I taped it. Watched it couple times and I'll watch it again. That was a great story about our star. Love you Adam.
This was a great special, very emotional. The teacher made my eyes tear up. It was very well done and I loved all of the personal photos and tapes and story line. It really showed how passionate Adam is for the music and how hard he has worked to get to where he is. He is genuine and humble and I love that he is an open book -- what you see is what you get. Family and friends are so important to him making him a man of good character. I love being his fan and want the highest success for him because he not only deserves it but we need his musical talent to be around for a very very long time because there is nobody out there like him and he is blazing a trail for others to follow. Although he is not trying to be a "role model" he is showing people who are different that it is OK to be yourself. Not do as I do, but be comfortable to do what feels right to them. It is not only OK for people to be different, but it is necessary for everyone to embrace people's differences because that is what makes us special and unique. Back to the music - IMO, Adam is the most talented singer and performer out there today. KLM
Nice comments, KLM. Think we all agree. The teacher moved me to tears too. Adam's teachers were so supportive and I will never hear "Mad World" in the same way. Teachers just don't get the recognition they deserve. They help shape our most precious gifts and can influence their respect and love of learning. Adam had the best! It had to be so gratifying for them to know they played such an important part in his success! OT info: Watching Oprah and she just gave her audience $100.gift cards to Adam's pet charity, Donors Choose! Bing will match every $1.00 donated from them up to one million dollars! Another great way to support our teachers that give so much to their students. They really need supplies to teach! Don't forget the Penny Royal pendants and earrings whose profits also support Donors Choose! funbunn40
Teachers are currently under so much attack from politicians and the general public that in a few years there will be no one going into this once proud and noble profession. Adamluv
@funbunn40 & @Adamluv - I come from a family of teachers and i feel their frustrations. But despite all that they would rather die teaching than change professions just like my own sister. There is really something disturbing when government fails to prioritize education in their budget, it is just repulsive. Won't elaborate on that since it's way OTT. Being our second parents in school, so much responsibility is placed on their shoulders that goes unnoticed.
I'm really impressed with Adam's decision to support Donor's Choose because it is a concrete proof of his social awareness in his area of concern. He could have just picked any other institution but he made sure that it is something very close to his heart. Thanks Adam for your honesty, sincerity and compassion because these traits certainly brought out the best in you and in all of us whose lives you have touched.
Yes, I recorded Adam last night as I watched it again afterward. It was really nice to see Adam as a child, and his time before Idol. I would pay good money to see the uncut version. You could tell that they cut out a great deal of information and film. Also they got a few facts wrong about the papparazzi incident, and the Associated Press's report that the voting was helped in favor of Kriss to be the winner.
As a teacher in Poway, CA, the district where Adam went to school and just down the road from where he grew up in San Diego, I too was touched when his teacher teared up talking about Adam. Thanks to all of you who commented on the impact teachers have on their students and vice versa. What a fine man he has turned out to be.
OT...I was raised to respect my teachers growing up and it would never occur to me to misbehave in class. My children were raised the same way. Unfortunately a lot of parents put a lot of burden on teachers by not doing their part along with the govt. Consequently our educational system is not on the same playing field as our foreign countries, which didn't used to be the case. Wish our country would wake up and take a lesson from Finland. I salute our teachers and place great value on them. Adam placed great trust in his teachers and hasn't forgotten the role they placed in his success. They saw something special about Adam and gave him what he needed. funbunn40
