I actually find this quite a comedy... sorry Mods no disrespect intended. But I guess you have to address insanity like these at some point... just to get them off your backs... LOL! ☺
Poor Adam, if only he knows, he must just be shaking his head & like... WTF?‼
Is this really a message from RCA? They sound like d***s to me. If it is only a few dozen fans out of millions why put something like this out on the internet.Y'all completely lost my respect.
Better sit up and listen. RCA has some good points, if Adam isn't successful, then neither are they. They know the business, it's what they do. Let Adam get on with his career, he's with one of the biggest companies in the world.
If the American DJs dont play Adam's singles.... how are they goin to be hits in USA????? Catch 22... Adam's best bet is to go international ALL the WAY... America is not friendly to a super talented vocalist like Adam...
Omg, it was a few dozen fans whining over a new single and the mods fell apart like this? The answers the mods were giving could of came straight from a trolls mouth too.
Who needs a bunch of know it alls anyway. I thought we were here to support Adam not run his career. Seriously some of these fans need to get over themselves, particularly the one who said... Quote "Please let this be notice that you are served. I will do everything in my power to see that you're done. You don't realize who you've riled. I quit this site because of you many, many months ago, but you've gone too far. Don't bother wasting your time banning me, because I don't bother wasting my time on this lame site and I haven't posted here for months.
You are scum, Sir. Kiss your job goodbye. Have fun on the employment line, because I hear things aren't so rosy out there. Especially when you've burned your bridges like you have! unquote.
According to Wikipedia: "Whataya Want from Me" is the second mainstream single by American pop vocalist and American Idol season eight runner-up Adam Lambert. It is the second radio single release off his debut album, For Your Entertainment and his first ever top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100."
RCA has gone overboard in 'disciplining' fans. They only had the feeler for a new single out on AO for a few days. I, like many on this site, rarely go to AO so RCA's polling method is flawed to start with since they only asked AO fans. If RCA thinks they are the experts, I think they need some 'schooling' on what sells records. For example, why did they wait so long to have Adam go to the radio stations for interviews? Adam has been a hit with most of the radio interviewers and it has helped him get play time. I try not to be a crazy fan, but I don't like those 3 RCA rants!!!
seriously, people have nothing better to do than threaten the AO mod...the word 'righteous' comes to mind. The sentiment may come from a good place but it kind of makes me want to steer clear of being associated with zealous 'fans'.
is not good for Adam and RCA starting a war between RCA and fans , that's why i think there are people really prof who knows theier job and we , the true fans must to be more carefull with all this trolls .Is true that we want a new video , if it possible for all the cd , but the same we have to be realistic , that means a lott of money and time to promoting . If they want move on to a new cd , i think is a good thing for Adam and for us peace and love amelie
For those that thought that they were slow in promoting Adam with the Radio interviews, don't forget, He didn't acually win AI . They were obligated to take care of Chris first. I don't believe Adam could even put his album out until Chris did. Same way with the single.
Let RCA and Adam run the business, they know all the tricks out there in the music industry. Adam is doing super excellent international, so must be on the right tract. We will get the EP CD and GNT DVD , actually I think is pretty good.
Sorry guys - can someone plse enlighten me on why are some fans pushing for a new single? We fans have bought his CD and love all his songs. We support him in his concerts. What can another single do for Adam?
The whole thing sounds rather childish to me...and a lot of generalizing, trivializing, exaggeration, obviously some attempts to intimidate, and a little outright bullying, depending on who you listen to...I am just hoping ( and assuming..) that RCA knows what they are doing...I can't really believe that there are only "a few hundred fans" who are hoping for a new single..I would guess we would all like a new single and I still don't really get why we can't have one (Mr. RCA sir, please don't yell at me...) but I am not a record promoter so what do I know....and I am certainly not going to threaten anyone...so I can see that some fans do go overboard just a tad bit...and that is what is causing RCA to react that way apparently...although I thought the tone of the response was a bit much as well...but who knows what some fans have said...the example above is definitely not going to get anyone to reconsider the releasing of anything related to Adam...I will defer to whatever RCA decides because #1.. I have no choice and #2... I assume they have a game plan...and it had better be a GOOD one!!! I really do think Adam's NEXT album will be what takes him over into the mega-hit range...and I think RCA is counting on that. Adam has had time to see what works, (and what doesn't...) and will be going in that direction from what he has said...so maybe it makes sense to wait, even though I don't like it!!! In other words, they want Adam's next single, whatever it is, to be a #1, not #14...Okay, I'll be patient...sort of....
I posted on RCA ED's thread on AO about WWFM reaching #10 on Billboard Hot 100. As far as the fans who are arguing with RCA Ed - that has to stop. It is ridiculous. Adam will be really pissed when he hears this!!!!
Maybe they are nothing but sick people who send the hate mail to various places and even threaten media personnel, but unfortunately Adam pays the price of that.
WOW! I follow Adam and many sites but I am clueless. What the heck was that? What is AO? Adam a FLOP? I am ssooooo confused! WWFM is such a flop That Pink is remaking it on her hits? and here I have been excited because I have been hearing his IIHY single on Sirius my hits one at least twice a day now. Wow RCA just burst my balloon! Can any one with some know how explain this in layman terms?
OK, HELP... I am SOOOOOO totally confused. WHERE did this thing come from??? Is it actaully from RCA?? I'm seriously asking for help here.
What are MODS?? Moderators?? from AdamOfficial??
RCA put out a feeler about singles on ADAMOfficial??? CRAP, WHEN??
Do I have any of that right???
Jeeez, who knew that??? well they missed a bunch of people... I don't go there that often, there's just NOT that much there and I find it very hard to navigate...
I can't even believe what I just read up there. Is this REALLY RCA??? How do we respond back to them???
WWFM was #TEN. Right now IIHY is #FIFTEEN on American top 40..or is this guy talking Billboard chart?? and at Billboard, how is position determined? Is it spins, requests, or sales, this is all sooo damn confusing.
IIHY wasn't even PLAYED that much on the radio. They really think another release from FYE would be a flop???? Are they SERIOUS??? that album is amazing... it needs to be PROMOTED, singles need to be played ON the radio...
Do artists NOT get another release unless a single reaches top 10?? or #1??? Ke$ha just released ANOTHER single... I think that's 5 now This is SOOOOOOO infuriating!!!
Seriously, if anyone has ANY solid insight or info into any of this, PLEASE please enlighten me???
I don't give a damn what the Mods say on AO, RCA has NOT promoted Adam the way they promote their other artists. I do not like the way the Mods communicate with the fans on AO, and there are a number of fans on the AO Board that I refuse to read their threads because they just "rub me the wrong way". I log in to AO at least once a day to see what's going on and I noticed a few of the troublemakers (IMO) are still posting away. It is not good that some fans are being so demanding about a new single, but when you tune in to the radio and hear multiple songs by artists like Kesha, GaGa, Perry and Bieber .... it does make me wonder why Adam's songs aren't being played any more often? I'm an Adam fan forever and maybe I should just stop reading this stuff and just enjoy his music.
I think it could be a Trol that sent the msgs to RCA and they don't have sense to knowthe difference.........Hell, who cares.. Let's just wait for the new album and get the show on the road just like we did with FYE
I think this entire post should be removed. RCA's response, while informative and the result of frustration, is comically unprofessional. It states too much negative about Adam's ranking, etc. Moderators of this site - PLEASE REMOVE before it is read by more people, and possibly made public by the haters. Advertising this can only hurt Adam. Thank you.
Who in the hell is Ed? Why is he scolding Adam fans. Fans are just stating their uninformed opinions. Just like uninformed voters just voted. Why is he making this rant? Just ignore and go about manageing Adam. Ed, whoever your are, do you know you're alienating people? If Adam is failing as you suggest, maybe he needs new management.
Why is RCA dissing Adam by suggesting another single would be a flop. Even if they believe it, they absolutely shouldnot verbalize. Gossip media will pick this up and make something of it. Ed should be fired. This is simply not appropriate if he's really affiliated with Adam's management team. If not, why do we care?
i'm just confused , why RCA to be offended if fans want a new video if rhat is asked in polite terms? i think there are trolls that they want to damage the relations between Adam and RCA and for ha fans i want to remember them that this site is adamlamberttv.blogspot.com and not ka ... , you get it?
Mister Ed gave me a tension headache when I read the way he answered questions about Adam.thanks for your post@9:18pm I really had to lol over your comment.headache gone,BP still up.
From what I'm understanding, it sounds like the RCA people are biting the hand that feeds them? Telling off the fans...who spent $ getting Adam where he is today? Who do they think is spending $ on Adam's music and live shows?? These rabid fans!
OK, that fan who was quoted is a total nut job and has obviously gone off the deep end...and if all the comments were that whacked-out, I could understand RCA getting agitated...but c'mon, music execs - there's something called professionalism! Act and speak in a professional way and you will gain far more respect! Don't say that Adam putting out another single would be a flop - jeez - do you believe in and support him, or not? There's some positive thinking for you.
OK, will stop blithering now, becausd I really do find this whole thing a bit confusing....but maybe that's because I don't hang out over at AO. I agree with the other person who said it was confusing to navigate.
I REPEAT - PLEASE REMOVE THIS POST. This is such negative publicity for Adam - and by his own management team! If word of that got out! This site should help promote Adam. Thank you.
I can't find Ed's post on AO. I think it has been removed, so this should also be removed. Please editor remove this garbage. It is negative and serves no purpose.
Ed needs be off Adam's team. He is not serving Adam at all. He has to many other clients.
Adam is above all this trivial BS. Certainly his management company, RCA and their representatives, should also be and not making these offensive comments.
I didn't see these 2 other posts earlier and in my opinion RCA Ed "MUST GO". If he represents Adam and RCA he is doing a very poor job that he is actually hurting Adam's career. RCA, please relieve ED of his position, he is "INCOMPETENT" to put it mildly. Thanks.
I've no problem with him/her providing the information; it's just the negative tone. I think a moderator should sound more professional and not let people get him/her so provoked.
This is the first I've heard of this.I know some of Adam's fans can be very pushy, insulting and rude and unrealistically combative when they don't get their way. Some lack maturity and think they're defending Adam by being agressive. They are in the minority in my opinion, as on this site alone there are many reasonable, respectful fans. I don't think they realize what a negative effect they have on Adam, and his many level headed fans. They p*ss off the djs, producers, mgt.etc who in turn will just distance themselves from the aggravation and ignore Adam, which has legitimately happened. It also is a major embarrassment for Adam who is hurt in the long run. Bashing his mgt. isn't going to get any positive results. A respectful letter, asking a civil question is more likely to get a response. That being said, I've known a lot of CEO a**es in my time, many also inept at their jobs and now with a distressed economy, they're more worried about keeping their jobs and covering their a**es. I'm not singling Sony/19 out, as I really don't know the whole story and know even less about Sony/19. I do know, however that some very mainstream record producers were famous for skimming money from artists and having artists sign contracts that were notoriously questionable and not always having the artists best interest at heart. Again, Sony/19 may be very legitimate, doing their very best for Adam. Fans letters of criticism are pretty low on their totem pole. I would stay out of Adam's business and direct fan wishes toward him and let Adam negotiate what is viable. Just my uninformed opinion. funbunn40
Adam 24/7,PLEASE REMOVE ALL OF THIS GARBAGE!!!IT'S SO UNPROFESSIONAL & CRUEL TO ADAM & HIS FANS!!!I DOUBT IF THIS CAME FROM ANYBODY THAT'S REALLY FROM RCA!!IF ED REALLY IS,THEN,I AGREE,HE SHOULD BE FIRED!!I JUST THINK IT'S PHONEY..ANY NEW ARTIST WHO HAS DONE AS WELL AS ADAM ,SO FAR, DESERVES PRAISE,NOT PUT-DOWNS!!HE'S AN AMAZING ARTIST!!
That was me who said the site was confusing... I'm glad you agree. I'm just so upset by this whole thing that I forgot to put my name...
I'm SOOO UPSET and horrified by this, this whole thing... I'm almost agreeing with you folks who have suggested removing it, UNLESS it may prove to do some good??? Cause such an uproar that it DOES get noticed and something good comes of it... LIKE ANOTHER SINGLE!
Julia, you are on Twitter?? Please, as long as this thread is up could you keep us posted?? I hope it doesn't cause Adam any upset... I normally feel so good after visiting here, This is awful =(... Cindy
I, too, defected from AO last year and have only popped in a few times for tix and tour info. However, I see no reason to remove this post.
While I don't care for Ed (and he is one reason I left AO), I believe there is a small faction of our happy little Glamily who tend to go a bit too far from time to time (with the best of intentions). Sometimes they need to be reminded that suggestions and requests are one thing... Demands are quite another.
I don't agree with removing any posts about Adam, negative or positive. This site posts information that is on the web to keep us informed, allowing us to discuss, offer opinons and share our information. Life isn't always a bowl of cherries, but it's important to know what's going on in the world so you can refute the negativity or misinformation, if you desire. funbunn40
What the blazes is all this about? Sometimes it gets frustrating waiting for more.... but I still feel the bigger picture for ADAM is the upmost concern of his promotors...afterall they know they have a Superstar on their hands.
If the above posts are genuine from RCA, then they need to be looked into. It seems very unprofessional on the part of ED. I can understand why fans get frustrated, we all want Adam to get the regonition he deserves, and most fans are wondering why there isn't another single. But he needs to wait until the tour is over, he needs to be in the country to promote it on radio and TV. I think thats why IIHY didn't do as well as we'd all hoped, no personal promotion, only 1 TV appearance, (and that was a repeat).
Is Ed an important person for Adam, or just someone who runs AO? I think everyone, including Ed, shouldn't get their panties in a knot. Adam's management has done a wonderful job with Adam, but more importantly, I think Adam has done a fantastic job with his career so far. Sit back, relax and trust the professionals.
I just wish the US Glamberts would embrace the international fans more, so everyone can be united towards loving and promoting Adam. Many feel because of their conservative nature they might lose him one day and he'll move on to a greater freedom where he is fully loved, appreciated and accepted. Just look at overseas Glam Nation, they are the very best of all time.
Why is a multi-million dollar international company so threatened by a few rabid, hostile (and quite possibly insane) fans? Why would they even bother to respond? And in the same fashion that provoked the response? Talk about unprofessional! As for headlines, I can almost see it" "Adam Lambert Fans Put RCA/19 on Defensive With Demands!" Gee, maybe people who don't know about him (are there any, lol!) would see this and want to check out the guy who causes such a furor in the record industry. Anyway, "Ed" needs to remember that this is his day job. There is nothing to be gained by answering idiocy with foolishness. V
Hold on everyone... I don't know if anyone was more horrified or upset than me at reading the messages from "Ed", but please read...
Baffled & confused, I didn't even think this was REAl. Who the hell is ED, is he REALLY representing RCA and therefore Adam??? Is he really looking out for Adam's interests?
Not frequenting "AO" much myself, I felt totally cluless, and had to figure out what AO even WAS... What the hell is a troll... etc.
I was horrified and insulted that this RCA person was so insulting to fans requests who only want the best for Adam and want to see his songs become smash hits---(he IS a recording artist after all) and SICKENED that he didn't even seem SUPPORTIVE of Adam (there isn't one song on that album that's a flop)
There was MORE to the origianl message from Ed at the top of this thread that you CAN'T see. Thanks to anon @ 10:10 for the link... it helped ME a lot..
a little from above to tie in-- ...."we constantly give you insight behind-the-scenes of Adam's career, instead. Then we get abused and even threatened when the answers don't please a minuscule minority of holier than thou fans who think they speak for the rest.
You don't."
**Here's the REST:
"We will not hesitate to block if you if you feel like mouthing off, and let me tell you that the 80,000 causal fans and lurkers registered to AO frequently thank us for blocking the 80 or so of you who think your opinions matter more than theirs.
They don't.
All Glamberts are equal in Adam's eyes, and, by extension, the mods.
Thanks for listening... We don't have to explain any of this, you know - we do because we care." --------------------
Just think it's only fair to present the whole picture. Didn't realize all that was going on. Hope that helps some of you who were as upset as I was.... maybe he's only 1/2 the jerk I thought he was... but I'd still love to have "Sleepwalker" released =) He's the exec or whatever, but I DO believe Sleepwalker would be a big hit...
I believe that RCA Ed was merely stating that it's time to work on a new Album. All of us want Adam to have the right songs to come up with on his sophomore album so it will be a smash. Can't wait to hear it. Meanwhile, we have the accoustic version and the GlamNation Video to look forward to while we wait in anticipation!
Sorry but it's the same old whiny group over at AO that's why I stopped going there. You know who they are. Plus they are totally spamming RCA's twitter address and one even wrote an article for the Associated content whining about it. It's the same dozen or so who also post ridiculous comments at the end of articles. Typing in caps calling Adam basically the greatest thing that ever hit the planet. The same group who attacks anyone who writes something even mildly critical about Adam but don't think twice about knocking other singers. It's the same group who post threads in AO encouraging people to attack The Washington Post and The LA Times because they wrote a critical review. What did it accomplish - well The WP & LA Times were so excited about the extra traffic they kept republishing the critical articles. They are the handful of posters who mega post on AO. You know who they are. They are an embarrassment.
No need to delete this , we may learn something from the whole thing, hopefully next time people can handle better both ways. Adam has already out to the world, a talent like him is unstoppable. Remember, there are billions in the whole world, many will love his music. Just wait and see.
IF this post from RCA is real? it does not seem very professional. Adam is mega talented and I will look forward to whatever he does in his career. I am amazed that a few "over the top fans or trolls or whatever can cause such a reaction from such a large company. Why write negatively about Adam who has been working his butt off for his career and the fans????????
Just ANOTHER example of the whack-a-doodles who need to get a fucking life...
When management/labels have to make statements to redic fans its embarrassing. You "few" fucktards need to get a life. And what he posted was spot on...you may THINK hes made it in this country but he has NOT. He is much bigger internationally than here and it MAY just stay that way if idiots like this dont chill the fuck out.
ya know there is plenty of bitching by fans on the site but so what? its posts and email there is always the option to ignore it....or just say sorry to dissapoint but trust us
I mean these ppl are interns or something not serious company officials but grow up a little
It might feel good to bitch slap the annoying ones but to what end?
these posts are immature and offensive
well its not that fun so I dont go there but I can see why adam wanted his own site this crap probably embarasses him
Well i took offense on those rants from whoever that Ed is and couldn't believe that he stoop down to the level of the over zealous fans. He shouldn't have dignified their ramblings and probably those from some trolls to the effect of putting down Adam. Majority of Adam's fans still have a grip of reality and are not delusional that he had to rub it in.
It is not Adam's fault that he isn't a country singer and that there is so much more than that to his versatility. It is not Adam's fault that conservative America is not ready for a talent who is different. It is not Adam's fault that in his very own country he thrives in an unfriendly environment which has very little appreciation for his OLD materials that btw did not even get a decent amount of airplay. It is not Adam's fault that radio stations continue to ignore his kind of music. It is not Adam's fault that conservative America refuses to give FYE a chance and continues to dismiss his rare artistry. It is not Adam's fault that his AIS8 fans expected something different from his debut album which contained the kind of music that he wants so as not to lose integrity as a passionate and dedicated artist. It is not Adam's fault that he failed to deliver instantly the milestones expected of him with the predicament he is faced with. It is not Adam's fault that his fans from many nations around the world are embracing him warmly and giving the recognition and respect that is due him . Last but not the least IT IS NOT ADAM'S FAULT THAT HIS GLOBAL FANS ARE SO DETERMINED TO SUPPORT HIS CAREER UNCONDITIONALLY ALL THE WAY WHETHER CONSERVATIVE AMERICA LIKES IT OR NOT. I wouldn't be surprised at all if in his own country certain notorious groups are moving heaven and hell to demonize Adam and suppress his imminent success because it must not happen in conservative America.
I took offense to the rantings of that person because it is not Adam's fault that despite the seemingly lack of support and promotions needed to boost his career, he is doing decently well globally because of his own efforts. Of course, the rest of the world isn't America the Almighty so apparently this means nothing to this person. I took offense because despite all the unfavorable circumstances Adam has to deal with, he is doing incredibly well just to be dissed in this manner. Just my honest and emotional opinion. But how the hell could i forget his sold out GNTs in America! These sold out GNTs in his own country is a very good sign that in the US of A there are still sensible Americans who know talent when they see and hear one and there are also millions of Americans who know how to give credit where credit is due. It isn't a hopeless case after all. I'm so glad that there is the rest of the world who has always been ready for this genuine talent of this generation.
Adam, don't ever sacrifice your artistry for public opinion and continue ignoring all the vexations to your spirit. Continue being who you really are and we are all proud of you and your minor achievements.
So sad to read all of this. There have been these Mama Glambert Grizzly fans that do act like they are in charge of Adam's career and have disagreed with RCA19 from the get-go. It's an entitlement factor and I believe Adam has spoken about this very thing but these women have control issues!
I've read their post around the web and they will attack people left and right as IF they own Adam Lambert. They are far too serious about him and it's just not healthy for Adam or them.
The truth is, that these over-the-top women push other fans away out of disgust and I never go anywhere except 24/7 because it seems more sane here.
Perhaps Adam should speak up to these women and tell them to stop all the bossy-controlling repertoire because it really does alienate many people.
Uretha ,If Mr.Ed would have made statements lashing out at Adam's fans that would have been tolerable but he said some unprofessional things about Adam. You need to watch your mouth also, talk about a whack-a-doodle.
I'm as huge a fan of Adam as anyone. I will support him in any way to keep his career growing. We have to trust the fact that he works with a huge, experienced company that has mangaed many artists successfully. Adam is business-savvy. He's doing everything he can to make it work. FYE is only his first CD, for crying out loud! Hopefully, we'll look back on it as the first of many successful CDs. We have to give him positive, NOT OBNOXIOUS, support. The bottom line to the record companies is SALES, and nothing else. All we can do for Adam is buy his music in the future. Naysayers won't be able to argue with sales success. His international fan base is so great. Like Adam says, focus on the positive. BYW, I check AO briefly each day, but 24/7 is THE site for great Adam coverage.
I took offense on the arrogance of his replies. In the first place it wasn't a matter of life and death that he had to stoop down to the level of the cray cray fans. It wasn't necessary for this man to dignify the rants of these over zealous few or probably those from the trolls to the effect of putting Adam down. Majority of Adam's fans do have a grip of reality and are not delusional so there was no need to rub it in.
It is not Adam's fault that he isn't a country singer that's why conservative America doesn't welcome him. It is not Adam's fault that conservative America isn't ready for an AI who is different. It is not Adam's fault that he thrives despite the very unfriendly environment surrounding him in his own country. It is not Adam's fault that he didn't deliver instantly the milestone expected of him considering the predicament he is faced with everyday of his life. It is not Adam's fault that despite the seemingly lack of promotions and support to boost Adam's career, he is doing decently well specially outside the USA. It is not Adam's fault that his artistry is embraced so warmly by people from many other nations. Lastly, it is not Adam's fault that his global fans are so determined to support him unconditionally all the way. He doesn't deserve to be dissed in this manner by people who are supposed to be behind him with or without his over zealous fans. It was uncalled for, highly inappropriate and written with malice all over it.
For an artist who is extremely passionate and full of dedication to his craft, Adam at least deserves some respect from that man. An educated person would at least practice some tact and restraint. Just my honest and emotional opinion.
Having said those things, i should not forget to thank his American fans who supported him in AIS8 and those who continue to do everything they can to ensure his longevity in the music industry. Thanks to all your efforts and for sharing Adam to the rest of the world. You are all doing a great job!
6:26 he didnt say jack shit that is negative toward Adam. He posted the TRUTH. And obviously you cant handle it. How you crazees can read those posts and think he was dissing Adam is beyond me. You people really need to check yourselves at the door.
I don't always agree with Urethra (who I sense would be perfectly fine with that and who I sense wouldn't expect any human being to always agree with any other human being all the time, or even half the time) but I kind of think she's making some good sense on this one. (Okay, I won't use the word "sense" again for the remainder of the day, lol).
Sadly, because of amount of technology that any human being has at their disposal, serious levels of obsessive behavior runs rampant on the web. Adam fans included. There are posters at this site (and all the others) that come off as crazed, stalkerish, (and as Adam put it) RABID!!! These types are doing him NO favors. Unfortunately, these fans may be the straw that derails Adam's career. To those crazies I say: You don't own him; You'll never be BFF's; He does not want to sleep with you; You are not entitled to know and or view every tidbit of his life. You need to get a reality check, and back off before the proverbial shit hits the fan! Peace Serena
Urethra!! OMG, lol, I needed a good laugh... Thanks for bein' tough and keepin' it real. You do cut to the chase and crack me up in the process. 5:01 was priceless.
Anon @ 3:56, (and a few others) that helps to understand some. Yikes, didn't know about any of that stuff...wow. Hope all this plays out to a positive result.
In the meantime, can't WAIT for the acoustic release, tour DVD or whatever IS planned. Hope sales are through the ROOF! Cindy
Yes, I'm also interested what the Glamberts have planned for Adam. With the nut case Glamberts in charge Adams career can only go downhill. Will the next album be more acoustic too :/
Since this seems to be such a problem, is there any way for AO to block the bloggers that cause this kind of trouble? Like if someone has threatened or been using abusive language on the site. Just wondering. I don't use that site either, for the same reasons everyone else already stated. V
for god sake people we are here to support Adam not to dictate him what to do ok!!!!!!!!!! If you really a concern fans just relax calm down and take a deep breath and everything will be okay the next day. Just appreciate what is going on with Adams career he is really big now people so just enjoy and we make sure that he will be always on top of his game. We are giving him inspiration to move forward and he do the same thing for us. Rock n Roll
I think now Adam's fan club is under attack if that's what I heard. Poor Adam working so hard. Don't let those crazy ones ruin his reputation. Anyone know anything about his fan club?
I am assuming you are referring to Adam Official, and NOT the Adam Lambert Fans Fan club...the two are separate and very different entities..All of the "fuss" mentioned here seems to come from a few very strident fans on Adam Official, which is the site set up for Adam right after Idol..and I think is administered at least in part by RCA..The Adam Lambert Fans Fan Club , on the other hand, is the one set up about two months ago by Adam and is in part overseen by Adam's mom Leila and some other great administrators..It is a site set up FOR the fans and seems to be working out very well... It handles the VIP Meet and Greets and has been the source of the pre and post parties in Hawaii (which I attended) and also ones for LA (which I am also attending YAY!!!) among other things..I only go to the AO site on rare occasion and for the concert pre-sale info...Otherwise I am here, and have really enjoyed the new fan club site as well...Have been able to meet up with some peeps from here and elsewhere...(I also frequent the Adam Lambert Official Unofficial site, just to add to the confusion!!!!)
Just wanted to make sure it was clear which Adam Lambert fan club site was being the source of all the "excitement"......
I also appreciated Cindy's post which really clarified the situation and the reason for RCA Ed's rant...As I said, I don't really go to AO so am not familiar with all of that, but it does make more sense as to why he felt he needed such a strong response...We ALL want Adam to do well and I think I will trust Adam and his management to make the right decisions for his career as they have a whole lot more knowledge about how things work than I do....I want the best for him and don't want to do anything to jeopardize his chances for future WORLD DOMINATION!! (As much as I would like for that to happen NOW!!!)
11:17 Thanks honey. I always try to keep it real. Its just not everyone appreciates real talk. Glad you do.
12:20 I know about the fan club. One of the crazees started a thread over there to get this RCA Ed person fired. Only her thread backfired because everyone AGREED that he wasnt being negative and that it was the bat shit crazee people who were perpetuating this crap anyway...so the mods at the fan club deleted the whole thread because it was just dumb to begin with...The problem is the crazees cant read ANYTHING without reading INTO it and half the time theres NOTHING to be concerned about. But Ive been told by Dr. Phil that Cray Crays dont know the're Cray Cray. So maybe we should show them a little extra love...Second thought Ive also heard that Dr. Phil doesnt really have a license so nix that idea.
awesome explanation of the 2 distinct sites. However, there was an extremely intense thread about this situation on the fan club site that has since been deleted by the mods. so I guess at this point the only place to read onit is on AO...I guess.
What on earth a fan site can involve so intensively on Adam's life. A few crazy ones can stir such drama, those must need medical attention. Hard to understand as I never be there.
I know this will be a very unpopular post. I was a super obsessed fan of Adam's on AI. I even went to one of the Idol tour shows. I would never have gone if it wasn't for Adam and Adam alone. I never went on AO because I didn't like the site. Don't know why. Like this one much better. I would also get on Amazon's FYE discussion forums and post and read other fans posts about Adam. Everything was positive, until some nutty, overzealous fan there brought in trolls who were prejudiced and cruel. I left pronto. I usually just visited sites to find out news about Adam - when I could see him on TV, watch new videos, new interviews, ect. I even went to more than one Glamnation shows. But my interest is waning because sadly, I've realized and actually realized it while it was happening, that Adam has done a LOT to hurt his own career, more than his super fans want to admit for some reason. And I've noticed on these sites that if any other fan brings this up, they are CRUSIFIED practically. When Gene Simmons said that Adam was ruining his career with the "gay" stuff constantly, I was infuriated, but now, I see he was right. Adam has mentioned that he doesn't want to be the poster child for gay entertainers, but he constantly mentions it - ALL the time. Take the Tommy kissing thing. And you actually wonder why Adam was ignored during this music award show season. Nobody's going to have him perform on TV and risk that kiss happening. I'm sorry to say this, but you're stupid if you think otherwise. I know, it SHOULDN'T be that way, folks, but it is right now. FYE should never have been the first single. WWFM should have been the first. IT should have been the one performed on the AMA's. It would have gone to no. 1 on the billboard instead of no. 10. He could have chosen any song after that as his second single, and it would have done well. So don't grip at RCA. You might need to realize that they're probably wishing that the damage control had worked better. I still love Adam and am still a fan. I will definitely buy his second album, but I don't know if I l have much hope for it. Adam may have to go in a totally new direction in show business. I hope not, and I hope that I am wrong.
Oh, I guess I missed the one on the FC site...which is fine by me : )
Too bad things have to be so dramatic, but I'm afraid Adam inadvertently has the power to inspire that in all of us once in a while, even me!!! Sounds like some of those over-zealous fans need to take a deep breath (or ten...or a hundred...) and think about what they are really accomplishing by driving everyone crazy, including possibly Adam. He has enough to worry about and concentrate on without dealing with over-the-top fans..You know what they say about a "squeaky wheel" getting the grease...Well, it can also be replaced...which is probably not what they are going for here..so a little "everything in moderation" might be in order..Also a little respect shown to those people who actually have the control , even if we don't always agree, is going to do a lot more good than threats and major name-calling..I STILL don't entirely get why they can't release another single here, but I am beginning to understand that it isn't so simple, so I will just hang in there until the next album...Its possible I suppose that they actually have something in mind for his next release, and if not will soon.. The first song from a new album is usually released well in advance of the new album so it will probably be here sooner than we might think...And it will probably be amazing..Scratch that...WILL be amazing...I think his record company knows they have a star on their hands and they have stuck with him this year, in spite of a few glitches along the way..and they want his next album to reflect Adam's super-star potential...so they are being very careful with what he does from now on...I think I'm beginning to get it...!!!
Thanks Cindy and for giving us some reality to what really happened. Glitzylady explained well the differences between AO and Adam's Fan Club which is a big difference. I agree with you too, Urethra regarding the crazees. If anyone can sabotage Adam's career,it will be them. It also gives us older fans that aren't rabid, just somewhat[ok, majorly] obsessed a bad rep. The key is not to act on it and lose touch with reality. I also didn't know there was a thread on his fan site about this mess.Didn't see it. Adam is sick in Finland. He may have picked up a bug with all of the flying and crowds, but this mess would make anyone sick. funbunn40
What ever happen has already happened, let the past go and move on. Let Adam decide himself. He is a very capable man. I know people are doing this for love, but I think it's in the wrong way.
2:11 I agree with alot of what youve posted. But there is one major flaw with the comment. The reason he keeps commenting on it is because he is constantly asked about it. If he wouldnt be asked...he would never talk about it...EVER.
Wow, just streamed through all the posts after reading RCA's rant. WhoTF are these people who have RCA in such a snit? Not sure who these Mods are or what purpose they actually serve. Are they officially speaking for Adam, or simply taken it upon themselves to decide what is best for Adam and his career? I am relatively new at this fan thing, but seems to me, a fan is just that a fan, not the know all, end all to anyone's career. I am flabbergasted that anyone(s) would take such liberty with issues that are not their business.
Big Deep Sigh!!....have been trying to say something like this for a long time but a whole lot more civil cuz I love the Glam World. There is a kernel of truth here .... there is in most passionate outbursts. Let's just think about it because we all want the same thing - success and happiness for Adam.
First of all, let me say that I really appreciate your honesty and also your courage to talk about how you feel...I know that what you say is out of love for Adam and also your fear in thinking that Adam is and will be punished for being who he is.. That is all valid...no doubt about it...However, I think one of the things that I do admire about him is that he does not go backwards in his career plans just for the sake of being more mainstream, and appealing to more people..Before I get whacked for saying that, I do sometimes wish that people would not focus on the gay part of his whole being (in that "magical thinking" type of world...), but could appreciate him as a whole person, including the "gay"...which does not seem to be the case out there...yet...His entertainment style, his style of dress on stage, his show, tend to be thought of as "gay", just as many "theatrical" styles of entertainment are considered to be gay, even if they are not...and I seriously doubt that he will change that very much, at least for now..The media are constantly focusing on the "gay" as well...so he answers questions honestly...he is singled out as "the gay guy"..so he sometimes has to answer as the gay guy. While it would be nice if that had no more impact than being the short guy, the tall guy, the nice guy, or even the straight guy, it does get notice from the media, who perpetuate it..Adam is making his choices and seems to have fun doing it, including the kissing Tommy in the show thing (which for the record I don't mind at all...)...Maybe Adam will never be hugely popular in the US, who knows, although I have every hope that he will...and I do agree that he has made a few missteps (who doesn't..) along the way..He is a new breed of entertainer...openly gay, unashamed of who he is, painfully honest, and oh, yes, an unbelievably talented singer and awesome human being..so I think his road will be a difficult one at least for now...He was well aware of that when he decided to try out for American Idol...he knew he was not your average Joe and was amazed to even make it through the auditions...I don't think he has ever expected it to be easy..As for the award shows and others being afraid to have him on, lest he do something outrageous, well, probably some truth to that....Their (and our...) loss however...
So all of that said, I hope that you do not become too discouraged and will continue to enjoy and support Adam..That's my plan and I am sticking to it...He is new to all of this and he will at some point know a little more about how he wants to be perceived and what choices he needs to make, whatever they are..I really think that his voice and talent will ultimately win out...And the rest will become rather secondary...
Oh, and when I said "there might be some truth to that" re the award shows and the possibility that they don't invite Adam on because they are worried that he might do something outrageous, I didn't mean that I think he will actually DO something crazy and outrageous, because I rather think he will not, I just meant that I suppose the powers that be ARE worried about it......and it has affected his chances for getting onto some prime time shows...or maybe not...Don't want to put my foot in my mouth...probably already have more than once!!
I think RCA Ed was way out of line regardless of how provoked he was by the fans at Adam Official. There are a few fans at Adam Official that think they run the show and that is why I stopped going there. Then there is Ed. His post were not in Adam's best interest. For Ed to suggest that an additional single from FYE would be a flop is just wrong. WWFM sold over two million copies world wide and IIHY sold about a million and is still selling strong. I do not think Adam's PR people do a good job because the mainstream media is still treating Adam as a novelty and not like the extremely talented professional entertainer he is. The fact that Adam did not win American Idol because of the Arkansas voting irregularities hurt Adam because Kris was entitled to be promoted more. He had to go on shows and promotions first. A lot of good that did Kris because Kris just does not have it to make it big. They do not even want Kris for the Jingle Balls this year. The media overreaction to the AMA's will pass eventually. I think that Adam can achieve tremendous success even though he continues to kiss Tommy. After all Adam has told us he is gay. It is time for America to grow up.
I don't agree with a lot of what you've said. Re not having him on awards shows, He's done many TV appearances both in the US and abroad, and has shown that he knows the audience he's performing for, and can adapt his song for the time, place etc. The Ama show was aimed at adults and aired at 11pm, and what he did was noe worse than other stars have done. Re the 'gay' thing, yes he talks about it a lot, but only because virtually every interviewer brings it up and asks him about it, and all the newspaper/magazine articles start the 'openly gay singer', although I'm beginning to see a slight change away from that headline which can only be good. His interviews and press releases in Asia certainly had far less emphasis on the 'gay' aspect, and concentrated far more on the music, which is as it should be. As to Gene Simmons - really does anyone listen to what he says. It was just sour grapes on his part because Adam blew him out the water... As to FYE not being the first single, I thought and still think its a great song, it has a great beat to it and is good for dancing too. But it doesn't matter what song it is, its never going to be a hit when so many US radio shows won't play him.
It's the usual same fans acting BSC and I can see some of them posting here too. RCA and Adam said there would be no more singles. They said it over and over. But the BSC ones started spamming RCA & Sony's twitter feed, spaming AO and spamming comment boards about how RCA was "doing wrong by Adam". The BSC ones and yes again we all know who they are just visit AO they have diarehha of the keyboard and drive everyone off the site. The BSC ones over react to everything. They eat, drink and breathe Adam's life and if one small negativity happens then they have a melt down. When they post comments under a negative article they yell in caps saying BSC things like ADAM will be ICONIC because he IS THE BEST thing that ever happened to this PLANET. I am a 62 year old grandmother and he is the BLESSED ANGEL ELVIS. Seriously someone has to reign these weirdos in.
Errrr...I got blocked on that site, and I am not laboring under the delusion that Adam is iconic, nor do I believe that his sales have met expectations.
I got banned for correcting the mod's assertion that WWFM had not made it to top 20 on CHR...he's said this many times, will not accept correction. I know of two other posters on that board who were banned for no more than that.
The crazy, ADAM WILL BE ICONIC, he's the best, oh, he's perfect!!!! posters are still there, just to let you know. Those of us who, ironically, agree with the mod on his take on Adam's sales, but have seen fit to disagree with him on his facts and on his recent habit of blocking posters and deleting threads are the ones who are gone.
Btw, AO of the middle-aged ladies has undergone a huge downturn in traffic lately, from 1,000 at a given time to under 100, all within a few months. That the mod had a number of all-caps fits, deleted threads, and blocked, in his words, over a dozen of those who contribute is strange.
I realize that Adam fans have a deservedly bad rep, but I have never taken part in such an awful site, with such awful posters, run by such an awful mod, and I'm a political junkie, on a number of political sites. Being on that site is like watching a car crash, slo-mo. It's fascinating.
2:11 may care about Lambert, may care for Lambert, I believe 2:11 does, but 2:11 doesn't seem to "get" Lambert. We can all only "get" Adam Lambert from what we can consume and digest from media/public sources, I understand that, but even amongst just public accounts and on the record material is an awful lot of Adam Lambert information, enough to get a sense of the guy, a little anyway...and 2:11 cares about what happens to Lambert for sure, but she/he, IMHO, doesn't get him or where he's coming from (or maybe where he wants to go), and IMO needs to, if she/he has any interest, take this technology we have nowadays and delve more into the PRE-IDOL Lambert, and then maybe 2:11 might understand better that 2:11 is, although well spoken and soft spoken and civil and even thoughtful, is actually part of the problem, not the solution. Just my point of view.
Wondering whether this is all a hoax. I have a hard time believing RCA would release such negative statements about Adam's record sales and his loyal fans. Maybe we should all take a deep breath and relax. Hopefully, we'll hear from Adam about all this once he has a chance to catch his breath. But I'm sure whatever he says will be positive and intelligent. Peace and love, Glamberts.
AFter reading all these comments I can see how many really care about Adam. We just need to sit back and trust him and his judgement. He has an awesome family, friends and band to consult with and I believe he is very smart. Remember Adam has played this game for years. He is proud of who he is however he just wants to sing and entertaine people out therenothing more nothing less. We need to be smart fans too. How can we support him?...buy his CD, go to his concerts, buy his clothing;join his fan club; celebrate his accomplishments along the way. I think when we begin to think we know more than his management they may take a disliking to that. I would never attack them verbally and certainly not annonymusly via twitter or e-mail. We are no better than then cyber-bullies when we do that. We will truly never know all the facts and why certain ideas are accepted or declined. I like dealing with facts before I get all in tither about things. Adam does not need us to bully his management. Look how people get dropped like hot flys from labels. We need to be smart about this and be mindful of how this could do damage. We could sabotage the very person we have grown to love and admire. I don't think that is what any of us want right? Think about it.
wow, lots of comments, I only read a few right now, then I'll go back, but I to as @4;56 pointed out as finally started to hear adam on sirrus hits 1. He was just #13 with IIHY tonight and I've been hearing it finally quite a bit in the last week. That song seems to be movin up enimen (who I don't care for (sorry, my opinion) was #11. Now I'll go back and read the rest because I am really confused on this whole matter!
@2;11 , I have to say and I am crazy obsessed with adam and love everything about him, but I feel you may be right on this one. Also glizylady, I love reading your posts, you make a ton of sense also. I thought everyone here is on AO also, although I find myself here all the time instead and his official paid fan club! I don't go on AO anymore because there seems to be more adam updates here, but I thought the fans were the same?
@ 2:11, I also agree with much of what you stated. Adam was noticed because of his immense talent on Idol and I think they expected him to follow that genre. He can sing anything in any style and do it well. Those appearances appealed to a broad mass of people. Adam obviously feels more personal satisfaction and comfort entertaining in the Citizen Vein, early LA club style that attracts a large gay clientele. It's what he's used to. He also has an incredible talent for rock and roll, pop, etc. I don't think the music industry knows what to do with him because he doesn't fit any mold. The Idol fans adore his talent, but some don't get his theatrical, flamboyant style. It's their loss, but I also believe his talent will win out, maybe not to the heights for which he's more than capable, unless he's willing to be more main stream. It's a choice that is Adam's to make. Ultimate fame making some concessions or moderate fame doing it totally his way. I do get him and love it all. I like the glitz and glam. He brings excitement and fun to music and there is no one like him, but I also am conscious of a huge mass of people uncomfortable with his sexuality when brought into some of his performances. Not fair and judgemental, but true all the same. I just hope he will find what works and satisfies him. He has had to make a lot of major decisions in a very short period of time and he's impressed the h*ll out of me! @ Urethra, you are!! funbunn40
Wow this is crazy. I was sure WWFM got to the top ten:/ Guess I was wrong. And they can't seriously blame Adam for not making a hit with his singles when nobodyt cared to promote him in the USA. But I do understand that putting out a new single involves lots of money which maybe they would prefer to spend on the production of the new album. The USA fan base is not the whole world and of we look at "worldy" a lot of the songs have been released as singles (Aftermath and Fever for example). As for the acoustic EP, I did want him to put an album that was live, where all the songs would be recorded live but I wasn't really looking for an accoustic. I hope he puts out a DVD with live performances, I'm really counting on that. Btw, I think it was good RCA "addressed" the problem but I think the way they did it (by blowing up like that) was really unprofessional. Poland Loves Adam
Whoa i don't even know where to start again since my kilometric post was lost somewhere in the blogosphere last night. Ok here we go. First, this man has to get some schooling from Mr. Adam Lambert in the area of diplomacy which i believe was required of his job if i'm not mistaken. Though i do admire his HONESTY, i still find it stupid for him to stoop down to the level of a few rabid fans who could even be trolls for all we know. It was not necessary for him to dignify the issues of such fanatics in a derogatory manner which was uncalled for being in Adam's recording company. Adam has a large following of levelheaded fans who has a grip of reality and are not delusional.
When i first noticed signs of Adam being different in AIS8, i was resigned to the fact that it was totally impossible for him to win the title. Conservative Americans will never allow that to happen and they must have moved heaven and hell to prevent that,JMHO. Just the same, i still enjoyed all his performances to the fullest and the rest is history. These overzealous fans were the ones who expected miracles from Adam after AI forgetting the fact that he is simply not for everybody and that he is an acquired taste. From the get-go, Adam has obviously been polarizing so it's either you like him or you don't. As he has said time and again if you don't like what you see then look the other way and that he never imposes himself on anyone. Considering the very unfriendly environment surrounding him it will never be smooth sailing for the career of somebody like Adam in the US not today, not tomorrow & not in the near future. It is a tough act for the first openly gay artist to be signed by a label. But in reality Adam is doing decently well despite his predicament.
At the rate that Adam is being recognized outside the US, i think Adam deserves a little respect for his minuscule achievements from that man who happens to be with RCA. Well of course since the rest of the world in not America the Almighty, his tiny achievements don't really matter to him in any way because it is the empirical data that will dictate if Adam deserves some respect or not. I am not asking that man to lie to his teeth nor to patronize Adam but some restraint on his part would have been a smarter and wiser thing to do.
Adam is first & foremost an entertainer & not a politician. He refuses to be a poster boy of any marginalized group but by merely staying true to himself, little does he know that he is sending out his best political statement ever. Adam please continue to be proud of who you are as an artist and as a human being.
Adam, in this very crucial stage of your career, be the artist you perceive yourself to be. Continue to hone your craft factoring in the results & experiences from your experimental GNT. If there are occasions that you have to compromise always remember MALAYSIA because we already know it'll be all worth it.
Just my humble and emotional opinion. Absolutely agree with @Anon Nov 5 3:56pm & HK fan 5:32pm
I think it would be nice if some of the rabid fans in some ways in a very toned down nice language can be advised not to be too aggresive with their own opinions and respect other people's constructive opinions and ignore any negative opinions about Adam. I noticed a lot of fan or non-fan websites complain about their aggresive behaviors.
The fact that Adam Lambert is proud of who he is makes him that much more appealing to me. I can't imagine him hiding his true identity and then later coming out. How dishonest would that be? Is he flaunting his sexuality? Are you kidding me? When heterosexual/straight people grab each other, make out in public are they flaunting their sexuality? You would say, of course not, because that's "normal". Give me a break. Adam just wants us to realize that he has just as much a right as any entertainer to be sexual. I adore his forthrightness, his kindness, his immense talent and just about everything about him. He is a breath of fresh air in a world of fake/phony people. He shows his love for his fans and tries so hard to entertain us. I am dedicated to watching him grow and develop into a huge star. He has the voice and the talent. Now he just needs all our love and support! Let's band together to give our guy all he deserves. :))
@Adamluv - thank you so much for the nod and you have no idea what your post means to me. I had to attend to so many things the past few days but my mind got caught up in this particular thread, couldn't focus on my work and felt the urge to do this all over again. Frankly, i'm not finished yet, couldn't move on and just have to make my last comment here. I ought it to myself and really need to get it off my chest. Will find time to do that tomorrow and shall finally let go thereafter. Thanks again Adamluv.
Hi all, Thanks so much to GlitzyLady, Urethra, Adam Fix and I'm sory for missing anyone, this is such a long thread, I did notice a few more nods and comments back to me which is wonderful acknowledgement, thank you, but I lost a few names along the way =/ So sorry! In general, thanks also to Funbunn40, Bing, MGF, Dark Side, I look forward to reading your posts as well.
I'm glad posting the REST of that rant helped to clarify. It helped me a lot and only seemed fair that THAT part of the message be shown too. Glad I investigated. What a SHAME, all that passionate energy should be used in a POSITIVE manner to HELP Adam, not turn people off.
***Another little tidbit I found during investigating I thought might bring us all a little tongue in cheek smile... ;) **E'ds rant claimed Adam never made the top 20 "CHR" chart... Weeeelllll, TODAY (Sun 11-7/10) IIHY is is on the CHR chart at... d d ddrruuum r r rolll!-- NUMBER FIFTEEN! =D
I't's been such a JOY to see His songs rise on the charts... IIHY has been out long time now, It's going to be SUCH an awful shame to watch it make it's way back down WITHOUT another single to follow it... =(...... Cindy
@Bing..just a little hint about losing things after working long and hard to put thoughts into words..I have noticed that sometimes lately when I hit "post comment" it doesn't always post the first time so I always scroll back down to make sure it "takes" and if not, hit it again...It always seems to work the second time...I've lost perfectly good comments (IMHO) myself and it is beyond frustrating to lose it after working so hard to compose it just the way you want it...
And indeed, I too have more thoughts on this thread's subject..its interesting how we spend time, sometimes while out there in the "real world", supposedly doing other things : ), really considering the words of others when forming our own thoughts..and new thoughts come to mind..The topic of Adam Lambert is so complex and constantly changing that it could take pages and pages to just scratch the surface of just about anything relating to him and his unique place in the current music scene and in the larger world in general..It is almost impossible to understand how the majority of people in the world today can't seem to recognize what a great talent he is and and what an amazing human being he is as well, but in reality most really haven't been properly introduced to Adam yet...That is in part why the "over the top fans" referred to here, are so focused in their efforts to get Adam's music out there...They may be a bit over-zealous to some but I think (I know!) that "deep down inside"( to quote a famous lyric), I feel the same way...But I would never want to jeopardize Adam's chances for success by driving everyone crazy with the constant demands to the RCA people or to the radio stations etc.
I am hoping Adam can and will remain faithful to who he is and I do not want him to change anything, unless HE choses to do so. Bottom line...If he were to give in to the idea that he should become more "mainstream", it would probably not be satisfying to him and he would undoubtedly lose some of his uniquely Adam appeal and chances are he wouldn't be very happy with himself either...I wouldn't want him to become discouraged and just fade away back into semi-obscurity. I will support whatever he chooses to do because that is what makes him special..He doesn't need to be like anyone else..and I wouldn't want him to be..I also do think RCA Ed does speak the truth tho...Adam should be producing #1 songs and has not yet done that..for various reasons that we have all heard..even though he has done moderately well...The next album is their focus now and I think they have great expectations for that, so they are just going to wait for that...so I am guessing no amount of pleading to and/or badgering of the record company is going to produce another single from FYE...and that is what he is saying..in fairly blunt language...Maybe not very diplomatic but there it is...I have been thrilled to see Adam numerous times this year with his Glam Nation tour and feel blessed to have been able to do so...the small venues have been fabulous and I know we will be thanking our lucky stars for that in the years to come...he is on the edge of greatness...we just have to be patient..which isn't easy...
@Cindy...This is indeed a long thread, evolving as it goes, and again, your posting of the rest of the RCA ED comment did help...
If by hurting his career, this is what happens to Adam: -WWFM Misuc Video on VEVO reached 11Million views -IIHY #14 in the Hit List - Top 15 (NOV) -STRUT is used in the Korean Levi's commercial -he was invited to the Sony event in Germany -is featured in many int'l magazines w/c means more publicity, good or bad is still publicity -FYE songs are covered & used in various big events & tv promos -his US & global fans joining/emulating charitable projects he has started -he continues to inspire his fans to use their creative juices -he continues to uplift the lives of many through his stellar performances & positive messages -even kids are still enjoying his music -his songs are doing fairly well in the charts -with the global economic crisis his GNT is a little successful with a minuscule estimated gross of $6,669,947.00 -he gets to perform at Q102's Jingle Ball 2010 -WWFM is Gold in Switzerland -AFTERMATH is a huge hit in Finland -he has so many fan videos/montage coming out -he has an impersonator in Las Vegas -he gets nominated for LOGO TV's Click List -IIHY is in NOW That's What I Call Music 36 -FYE Album is close to selling 750,000 in the US market that caters to Country Music -he is in E! True Hollywood Story -TMZ needed to put a twist in their story just to be able to feature him -lost count of his many interviews and tv guestings -people in the know & fellow artist continue to acknowledge him despite the GAY LABEL w/c is such a big deal to conservative Americans -he books another show in LA -SLEEPWALKER debuts in CHUM FM in Canada etc etc etc then i'd say go ahead Adam i wouldn't mind you taking another fall because you never even missed a note doing so anyway. The conservatives were up in arms with that 1 AMA performance while the rest of the world didn't even cringe. In fact, we even liked it, though admittedly not his best performance but we didn't mind it at all. I was cracking up watching it but was prepared for the backlash knowing that the haters were all anticipating his each & every wrong move(according to them) ready to attack him on all fronts. His detractors are on alert 24/7. Yes it is lamentable but that is where they want to channel their energies brought about by plain & simple JEALOUSY. The conservative Americans are still using the AMAs as their strongest weapon against Adam to pull him down & make sure that THAT 1 performance overshadows his talent & destroys his career.
I hate to say this, no pan intended, but this must be the longest 15 minutes in Gene Simmon's life. Do i smell professional jealousy here when Adam performed with them effortlessly enjoying every second of their number? Wish he'd take it back. JMHO :)
Oh & the kiss, i swear i would run amok should Adam kiss Camilla in Fever! Didn't Adam explain from day one that he needs to get into the song to give justice to its meaning? Then by all means Adam go ahead kissing Tommy while it still works. You & Tommy seem to have perfected the art of putting up a show tickling our fantasies. Keep on entertaining us because we love it. There is the rest of the world who is not that hung-up on sex nor homosexuality. We have your back. Just be mindful of certain sensibilities along the way.
It is pathetic that your being different seems to be the reason why you didn't get discovered. And now that AIS8 gave the platform you needed, people are still afraid to give credit where credit is due. So what if you are ignored by award shows Mr. Lambert, to my mind what is more significant than those trophies is what you have contributed to the citizens of humanity whose lives you have touched in a fascinating way. That to me is exceptional & priceless. You are our symbol of benevolence, love, light & hope. I would rather honor you this way than dignify those award shows catering to auto-tuned artists. And if this is all stupidity on my part, then i don't mind being labeled STUPID. FYE is a very good song stigmatized by the AMAs only but the very same song has been used in many occasions already by people who i guess are more tolerant, accepting and who have good taste in music. And better too late than never, let me raise my glass to RCA's brilliant damage control. That was divine.
I'm really thankful that there is the rest of the world & millions of sensible Americans who get Adam & take him for what he truly is. With Adam Mitchell Lambert around, there is enough reason for humanity to unite and celebrate life and universal melody. Thank you all for understanding Adam simply for what he is & for giving him a chance to shine.
@glitzylady- thanks for the tip much appreciated & i agree with everything you said in your posts. Now, i can leave this thread peacefully & move on.
@Cindy - i've been meaning to thank you too for your very useful investigative work, highly appreciated here. At least it helped us, specially those who took offense, to see where he is coming from. I think it would be best to just ignore the cray crays. Adam already tried to politely request them to take things easy but to no avail. It is only Adam who could get their cooperation and i seriously doubt it they would ever listen to rhyme or reason. I've been squeezing my brain for creative ways to convert their wasted energies to positive use but couldn't come up with anything yet. This is quite a challenge. Well i guess there are things that are better left untouched but i'm hoping that there'll be a win-win solution to that problem for Adam's sake. Again thanks for clearing up the air Cindy.
Bing, dear Lord, lol... You must be EXHAUSTED! Well I guess that about covers just about every subject ever mentioned? I reccommend a double dose of Adam, >BALLADS ONLY< to ensure peaceful calming effects during recovery. =D (hmm... might partake of that dosage myself, I'm out of breath just reading! (gotta inject some humor)
Thanks for your passion & honesty in sharing with us.
OT-(I left a post with a url addy for you on that beautiful video post...hope it helps?)
Glad you appreciated the detective work =) Thanks for the nod, you're very welcome. Cindy
They Suck!!! RCA does nothing for Adam .. they act like he doesn't even exist. They don't promote him or pay to have him played on the radio they don't get him banners on itunes or promote his album or EP. It's all a big joke. They act like they care but they don't and Ed is the biggest jerk in the universe. He makes my skin crawl with his rude mean and arrogant remarks.. he chased half the fans away from AO.. it's not his official site for hate it's Adam's official site Ed is the hired help and I for one wish he would be gone tomorrow.

I would so love RCA to release the names of those few dozen fans. That would be the right thing to do.
WTF???????????
Why this ranting from RCA?
Wow I didn't know something this big was happening over at AO.com
I left that place a long time ago when troll started appearing.
Are those people very aggressive, powerful and super rich that RCA need to bust them out?
I do believe that Whataya Want from Me made it to No. 10 (re: the statement that none were smash hits, top 20.) Correct me please if I am wrong.
I left AdamOfficial long ago, too. Sounds like nothing has changed there.
Actually I go there to check into the Events and the Store. I prefer this site, checking on Adams Twitter account and Googleing(sic) on my on.
I actually never go there. I like fans here at 24/7 that are more chilled and calmed when it comes to our idol
Where the hell does the acoustic EP come from, RCA? I thought that's what only a few dozen fans wanted and they get it.
Also WWFM was #14 and IIHY #16 on Top 40 if I recall.. So I don't know why they said that.
Quote
"Please let this be notice that you are served.
Especially when you've burned your bridges like you have!
unquote.
According to Wikipedia:
"Whataya Want from Me" is the second mainstream single by American pop vocalist and American Idol season eight runner-up Adam Lambert. It is the second radio single release off his debut album, For Your Entertainment and his first ever top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100."
Could someone politely tweet this to Mr. Ed.
The sentiment may come from a good place but it kind of makes me want to steer clear of being associated with zealous 'fans'.
anon 8:03 PM
Where are you coming from? You lost me and maybe others too? Let's lighten up peeps. It's all about LOVE ♥=♥ ADAM
Wow! I had no idea this was going on???? RCA is really pissed.....Guess we def know the answer now whether there will be another single...NO!
Let's all move on and wait for the acoustic EP and hopefully the GNT DVD which will no doubt be EPIC!
CT
I'm pretty sure it's the same people who first wanted the acoustic EP and now they want the single too. They should have wanted the single first.
Anon 8:03, thanks for the quote. Boy, some fans really have mental problems.
is not good for Adam and RCA starting a war between RCA and fans , that's why i think there are people really prof who knows theier job and we , the true fans must to be more carefull with all this trolls .Is true that we want a new video , if it possible for all the cd , but the same we have to be realistic , that means a lott of money and time to promoting . If they want move on to a new cd , i think is a good thing for Adam and for us
peace and love
amelie
For those that thought that they were slow in promoting Adam with the Radio interviews, don't forget, He didn't acually win AI . They were obligated to take care of Chris first. I don't believe Adam could even put his album out until Chris did. Same way with the single.
Let RCA and Adam run the business, they know all the tricks out there in the music industry. Adam is doing super excellent international, so must be on the right tract. We will get the EP CD and GNT DVD , actually I think is pretty good.
Apparently RCA gets tired of being dissed. Who doesn't?
I think that's 5 now
This is SOOOOOOO infuriating!!!
Seriously, if anyone has ANY solid insight or info into any of this, PLEASE please enlighten me???
the post at 8.03 was a quote from one of the so called fans on AO...
Those fans obviously know how to blackmail, but anyone know details how they can do it? Do they have weapons or what?
Would someone please explain what all this is about? I'm totally lost.....
Posting all this on 24/7 is certainly not helping anyone. Why?
It is odd that RCA claims the single would be a flop, but the acoustic EP that only a couple of fans demanded won't be.
Whoa - for reals? I find this confusing as well.
Sitting back to see what happens next...
- Adam Fix
Arogance is not just an issue for Adam's fans apparently Mr Ed.
I REPEAT - PLEASE REMOVE THIS POST. This is such negative publicity for Adam - and by his own management team! If word of that got out! This site should help promote Adam.
Thank you.
Please remove this article from this site, it is not appropriate for an AL fan site.Listen to the others above too.
Don't tell me this was a stunt. Quite awesome if it was, I'm impressed.
take down this post please!!
Thanks.
PLEASE REMOVE THIS POST- just negative publicity for Adam and his management team. Serves no purpose except to possibly embarass Adam.
Hi everyone. This is all over twitter and some fans are trying to get Ed fired. What do you guys think about that?
The people over at the fan club forums are calling for Ed's resignation too. This is blowing up very big. I wonder if Adam will tweet about it?
Ed's thread is STILL active on Adamofficial. 24/7, don't delete this. This is a very important discussion.
Here is the link to Adamofficial's thread.
http://www.adamofficial.com/us/node/1806706
I've no problem with him/her providing the information; it's just the negative tone. I think a moderator should sound more professional and not let people get him/her so provoked.
I think this should never have been posted to begin with but since it was, Ed has to go. Thanks for posting this Popeater 24/7.
Why are people against this being posted? This is an Adam Lambert news site. Things like this get posted. I don't agree with censorship.
Keep this post up!
(But I don't know what to do with Ed. If fans are protesting him, then it's their choice....)
Glamberts seem to agree with Ed.
OOPS! IN MY POST ABOVE I MEANT TO REFER TO RCA, NOT SONY 19. funbunn40
Adam Fix
Life isn't always a bowl of cherries, but it's important to know what's going on in the world so you can refute the negativity or misinformation, if you desire. funbunn40
I think some Glamberts are behind this. How did they get their foot in RCA.
HK fan
Is Ed an important person for Adam, or just someone who runs AO? I think everyone, including Ed, shouldn't get their panties in a knot. Adam's management has done a wonderful job with Adam, but more importantly, I think Adam has done a fantastic job with his career so far. Sit back, relax and trust the professionals.
There are not many so called Glamberts in Europe. I don't think the US Glamberts are very much liked here. Just something to think about.
Don't let this matter get out of perspective.
Adam is the ultimate!
V
I believe the trolls have just entered the building.
I love Adam Lambert, and by all account so do a lot of other wonderful people and with a passion!
It tells a lot about RCA, doesn't it. Adam should get out of there, but can he?
Remember people, Adam is about total positivity so don't give way to letting the negative creep in...because it's happening!
Hey RCA ED is just speaking right down the line.
I admire the non floury attitude because at least you know where it all stands.
It breaks my heart that Adam has to deal with this. It was all so unnecessary.
Hold on everyone... I don't know if anyone was more horrified or upset than me at reading
the messages from "Ed", but please read...
Thanks to anon @ 10:10 for the link... it helped ME a lot..
a little from above to tie in--
...."we constantly give you insight behind-the-scenes of Adam's career, instead.
We don't have to explain any of this, you know - we do because we care."
--------------------
Just think it's only fair to present the whole picture.
Cindy

Bing
Having said those things, i should not forget to thank his American fans who supported him in AIS8 and those who continue to do everything they can to ensure his longevity in the music industry. Thanks to all your efforts and for sharing Adam to the rest of the world. You are all doing a great job!
Bing
Peace
Serena
V
I hardly ever did go to AO site, but now I will, because my next hobby is to stalk those fans who blog there.
for god sake people we are here to support Adam not to dictate him what to do ok!!!!!!!!!!
Everytime Adam comes to Europe, the crazies try to make some scene.
If i was Adam i would have his own Record company cuz these AS*SES are noy doing S8IT for him! Katie
@ anon 12:20pm
@glitzylady
awesome explanation of the 2 distinct sites. However, there was an extremely intense thread about this situation on the fan club site that has since been deleted by the mods. so I guess at this point the only place to read onit is on AO...I guess.
I believe this was an inside job. Stupid drama. Just like the paparazzis at the airport last spring.
What on earth a fan site can involve so intensively on Adam's life. A few crazy ones can stir such drama, those must need medical attention. Hard to understand as I never be there.
To get Adams attention they are willing to do this. Such a white trash behaviour. Besides, isn't threatening a person criminal in the US?
@Urethra_Franklin
He may have picked up a bug with all of the flying and crowds, but this mess would make anyone sick. funbunn40
Hope the AO crazees don't pay us a visit if they're blocked from AO! Glad we have Urethra to put the word on them if they do!! funbunn40
What ever happen has already happened, let the past go and move on. Let Adam decide himself. He is a very capable man. I know people are doing this for love, but I think it's in the wrong way.
They'll all end up here at some point. It's good, because it's easier to stalk them then.
2:11 I agree with alot of what youve posted. But there is one major flaw with the comment. The reason he keeps commenting on it is because he is constantly asked about it. If he wouldnt be asked...he would never talk about it...EVER.
funnbunn40 I feel so loved. <3 :D
No Comment..
@anon..2:11pm
That Ed must be a fake. I read his answers and they are weird. Is he a regular on the AO site or did he just appear there?
@2.11pm
HK fan
@ Urethra, you are!! funbunn40
Urethra 11/5, 1:12 PM - HA HA HA HA!! Loved the Dr. Phil comment! Thanks for always bitch-slapping us! :-D
Glitzylady and funbunn40 - you two are always the voice of reason. Thank you for your intelligent and thoughtful posts!
- Adam Fix
HK FAN - I completely agree with you in everything you said.

Bing, only comment I will make about this thread is to thank you for your enlightened post! Adamluv
Bing
Hi all,
Thanks so much to GlitzyLady, Urethra, Adam Fix and I'm sory for missing anyone, this is such a long thread, I did notice a few more nods and comments back to me which is wonderful acknowledgement, thank you, but I lost a few names along the way =/ So sorry!
***Another little tidbit I found during investigating I thought might bring us all a little tongue in cheek smile... ;)
**E'ds rant claimed Adam never made the top 20 "CHR" chart...
Weeeelllll, TODAY (Sun 11-7/10) IIHY is is on the CHR chart at... d d ddrruuum r r rolll!-- NUMBER FIFTEEN! =D
I't's been such a JOY to see His songs rise on the charts... IIHY has been out long time now,
It's going to be SUCH an awful shame to watch it make it's way back down WITHOUT another single to follow it...
=(......

If by hurting his career, this is what happens to Adam:
-WWFM Misuc Video on VEVO reached 11Million views
-IIHY #14 in the Hit List - Top 15 (NOV)
-STRUT is used in the Korean Levi's commercial
-he was invited to the Sony event in Germany
-is featured in many int'l magazines w/c means
more publicity, good or bad is still publicity
-FYE songs are covered & used in various big
events & tv promos
-his US & global fans joining/emulating
charitable projects he has started
-he continues to inspire his fans to use their
creative juices
-he continues to uplift the lives of many
through his stellar performances & positive
messages
-even kids are still enjoying his music
-his songs are doing fairly well in the charts
-with the global economic crisis his GNT is a
little successful with a minuscule estimated
gross of $6,669,947.00
-he gets to perform at Q102's Jingle Ball 2010
-WWFM is Gold in Switzerland
-AFTERMATH is a huge hit in Finland
-he has so many fan videos/montage coming out
-he has an impersonator in Las Vegas
-he gets nominated for LOGO TV's Click List
-IIHY is in NOW That's What I Call Music 36
-FYE Album is close to selling 750,000 in the US
market that caters to Country Music
-he is in E! True Hollywood Story
-TMZ needed to put a twist in their story just
to be able to feature him
-lost count of his many interviews and tv
guestings
-people in the know & fellow artist continue to
acknowledge him despite the GAY LABEL w/c is
such a big deal to conservative Americans
-he books another show in LA
-SLEEPWALKER debuts in CHUM FM in Canada
etc etc etc then i'd say go ahead Adam i wouldn't mind you taking another fall because you never even missed a note doing so anyway.
JMHO :)
Bing
Bing
@Cindy - i've been meaning to thank you too for your very useful investigative work, highly appreciated here. At least it helped us, specially those who took offense, to see where he is coming from. I think it would be best to just ignore the cray crays. Adam already tried to politely request them to take things easy but to no avail. It is only Adam who could get their cooperation and i seriously doubt it they would ever listen to rhyme or reason. I've been squeezing my brain for creative ways to convert their wasted energies to positive use but couldn't come up with anything yet. This is quite a challenge. Well i guess there are things that are better left untouched but i'm hoping that there'll be a win-win solution to that problem
for Adam's sake. Again thanks for clearing up the air Cindy.
Bing
Bing, dear Lord, lol... You must be EXHAUSTED!
Well I guess that about covers just about every subject ever mentioned? I reccommend a double dose of Adam,
>BALLADS ONLY< to ensure peaceful calming effects during recovery. =D
(hmm... might partake of that dosage myself, I'm out of breath just reading! (gotta inject some humor)
Thanks for your passion & honesty in sharing with us.
OT-(I left a post with a url addy for you on that beautiful video post...hope it helps?)
Glad you appreciated the detective work =) Thanks for the nod, you're very welcome.
