Sauli giving up his flat in Helsinki, makes sense right now.He has been over here for a few weeks, and still has that project on his blog to do, which will take until June, why pay rent for 6 months or more, if he isn't going to be there. Adam did the same thing with his rental house last year.

Sauli giving up his flat in Helsinki is practical as he will be working in LA and NY for several months. I think it's a little premature to be interviewing Sauli's dad about Adam at this point. He seems sensible and nice as Sauli. Hope all of the media won't suffocate what seems to be the beginning of a satisfying relationship for Adam and Sauli. Sauli seems like a great guy with much in common with Adam. I wish them both the best and above all some peace and privacy, even tho' I enjoy pics and news as long as it doesn't get hurtful and too intrusive. funbunn40

I had an american boyfriend once whose father was living in NY but was born and raised in Finland. My English at that time was simple terrible (my boyfriend and I talked only in Spanish and UNF, mostly in UNF). I knew I wouldn't feel comfortable depending on him to talk to his father... so I decided to speak to my «father in law» only in my mother language Portuguese, and catch him by his stomach with my brazilian recipes of «Feijoada completa», «Moqueca de camarão» and «caipirinha». And we both got along together so well among those yumy flavors... meets, beans&rice, shrimps, fish, palm oil, coconut milk, hot pepper and lots of «cachaça» (sugar cane aguardiente) that my poor boyfriend got kind of feeling THE «foreigner» in home...

I don't think Sauli's dad should be put on the spot since he hasn't even 'met' ADAM yet. He did say Sauli doesn't keep in close contact with him as he does his sister ... so wouldn't it make more sense to interview her? After all ... not all 'relationships' begin with a M&G with the parents right away ... give it time!! ..JMO

The actual story is IMO being made little 'sarcasticly' (is that a real word?) because it's for that newspapers friday publication, that's not allways too serious. But all in all, I find Sauli's dad adorable and I what I understood they are very close even they don't keep in contact every day.

I was married for 35 years to a fin and could not understand his parents as they only spoke in finnish as it was easier for them to talk in their native tongue. I found myself alone when they communicated to their son in my company and because of this I couldn't get close to them as I wanted. My husband would say a few words sometimes of what they were saying but not every word and not all the time. I WISH IT WAS DIFFERENT BUT IT WAS WHAT IT WAS BECAUSE of the communication gap.

Just wondering if Adam is nervous also. And another question is, does Adam have any plans to meet in-laws? For God sake, ladies, boys just started to date but you already started to plan engagement party! Don't forget to send Adam twitt with info where he has to buy rings, the best date and place for wedding, and most romantic place for honeymoon!

The person which whom he told that how everything that could go wrong went wrong with one of his worker that day asked "Well did you fired him?" and Sauli's dad answered: "No, because the good thing was that it was my son." Sauli's dad seems to have a great sense of humour.

I agree to anon 11:56 There´s a lot of sarcasm in this story which might be quite hard to understand when reading the translation and without the context.

If I was Sauli's sister, I would learn the English no comment real fast. Besides, nothing official from either person--Adam not being assessable with info on this relationship. Dear Anon 12:35, I think they just took the honeymoon--Bora Bora, a very big HM spot, or was that the Paris trip. Adam can run, but he can't hide. It's not just the paps, it the reg press, and his fans. Best part, it's all positive as everyone seems to approve. In fact, some are very over the top with the whole thing.

Well Adam has gave a comment that he is dating one guy, didn't say his name but it's most likely Sauli if you look the pictures. Sauli has not gave any comments so some journalist got a great idea that "Hey, I can ring to his father". Sauli's father is not used to the publicity so he don't know that the best answer is "No comments".

Hey, people, why don't we just let Adam and Sauli take "a second to breathe". They are at the very beginning of a new relationship and still have a lot to learn about each other. We are all pushing for comments and commitments, and I think it's much too soon. Let's be fair to them !!

There seems to be alot of finnish fans here. welcome! I think we all know this is bb's new boyfriend without confirming it, but so what, he doesn't have to. Just wish him the best and this 2nd album is so important to his career, that's what really matters right now. just keeping it honest!

Adam is like a trophy son in law. I wouldn't object to having him in my family. Sauli's parents will love him like we all do.This must be the biggest news Finland has seen for a while. Of course we will have to share him with all the Finberts, but that's OK, they all seem very nice.I was a bit surprised at the name "son-in-law", havent ever heard Adam talk about marriage. Only that he will vote for the "equal gay rights". and that he wants love in his life. He said everyone deserves that.

The son-in-law talking is just teasing or humour. Finns can live in a relationship a long time and have children before getting married.

In Finland it's perfectly normal to use the words "son-in-law" and "father-in-law" in a situation where the couple is just dating. It's just more convenient, especially since the Finnish words for those are super short ("vävy" and "appi"). So it doesn't mean anyone is being pushed into marriage, as if we could push them :D.

I was having dinner with friends, my father heard i was sitting next to guy in the restaurant, next day he called and asked when i am going to bring his new son in law to visit.. its so common saying.

This is kinda crazy.. I live in Hyvinkää too and my family knows Sauli's family... I've also seen Sauli around the town sometimes, in bars etc. I can't imagine Adam coming for a visit in Hyvinkää, it's such a small and lame city even in Finnish standards haha :D
