I love that Adam is able to go out and about in London..and has time to see the beautiful sites there..The iPhone app that he used for this picture with the "vintage" effect is found here: I just downloaded it from iTunes store for my iTouch..excited to try it..i

And according to those who know, this was taken at The St Pancras Church "Caryatids".

(Nothing like being home sick and with a handy laptop and a Twitter account to keep up with breaking Adam news.. )

Congrats to Tommy! More babies, hope we get pics eventually.

So happy for Tommy. I wonder if Adam will have children of his own someday? Gay people nowadays have children and raise them well. I heard a gay couple adopted 20 children. Very nice people.

I think if Adam were to pick another city in which to live, he might select London. It offers history, culture, fashion, music, clubs,etc. and a lifestyle where he probably would not be so hounded by papparzzi. Glad to see that he has some time to be out and about taking in some of the sights of this wonderful city.

I am a grade 5 teacher. I have the nicest boy in my class, polite, well-liked, well-adjusted.
When the students brought in cheques for a field trip, I saw that he has 2 dads names on the account (no mom) and was adopted by them. So cool. We are in a smallish suburb and none of the other kids care. woohoo

UK may not be as much fun as say 30 years ago, but it is a lot better place than the US. I couldn't live in the US.

If Adam choose to live in Europe someday, I hope that he will find the peace he needs.

Just in case there are any trivia fans.........
these statues took 3 years to make and when Rossi
came to install them they didn't fit.

So with many amused Londoners watching they were cut in half and 12" taken out of their midriff,
consequently they are way out of whack and not the tall slim lovelies they started out to be.

They are considered one of the oddities of London........I love useless info like that!lol

IF Adam should go to live in London, don't be thinking you could whisk him away to your Isle of Wight.........we'd NEVER see him!..........

Do they look like Adam on his Glamnation CD???
Enlarged it & check it out
Maybe that's what Adam is tweeting about" seen on a London Stroll"
Awesome for Adam if I'm right!!!
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh

These statues resemble the Caryatids which are part of a small temple next to the Parthenon in Athens, Greece.

@JAK
Thanks for that info! Now that you mention it, I see now where the cuts were made! I love bits of "useless" information because its interesting to me, and if I ever find myself standing in front of this church I'll know the story..I've been to London, but not to this place. It would take a year to see everything there is to see in that old and fabulous city. Love the history and feel of London...and wouldn't mind being there right now..you never know...what other sights one might see.........

@Lizard Eyes..
You are so right, I saw earlier today that someone who was familiar with this church, St. Pancras, said they indeed are Caryatids, which are defined as female figures used as support pillers or statues and are Greek in origin..

I looked up information about St. Pancras and was interested to learn that it is an "inclusive" church, open and welcoming to all people, all sexual orientations including gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, etc..Interesting that Adam would tweet this picture of this particular church in London..It is a beautiful picture of course..Wondering if he was aware of the significance as well.

If anyone is interested, here is the information about the Caryatids..and you can click on other tabs to learn more about the church..Adam is a never ending source of enlightenment. This church is very similar to the one I have attended in my adult years. (But much more historic..)

St Pancras "Changing Attitude" statement:
"St Pancras Church supports "Changing Attitude", the organisation drawn by God’s love to work for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the Anglican Communion."

And I support St Pancras. This is a cool picture and will go back and look to see if they look strange with stomach missing. Adam is becoming a world traveler. Think this suits him.

They do look strange, their hands hang down almost to their knees! I saw the church on one of my visits to London. I'm so glad Adam is getting some time to play tourist.

Glitzlady you are right it would take a year or more to explore every place of interest. I've been there 5 times, a week at a time, and hardly checked off a quarter of my "must see" list.

No more trips for me but I'm sending my grandson and he'll finish up my list for me........JAK
