Hi ya'll! This is very sad , sometimes I just want to say "my country is f***** UP!" I mean, it's bad enough when you're trying to help yourself & your family, & it's hard, especially when financial assistance is not available to you. I've always been reminded that "God helps those who help themselves". Yea, God is helping alright, making my soul stronger. It's hard, real hard, especially when children are involved. My grandson, a college student, therefore continually broke, auditioned for a job at Disneyworld. He passed all needed requirements and they said "You got the job"! He immediately texted his mom and we all were thrilled for him. An hour later he called back, "I lost the job".
When he went to costume fitting his feet were too big for the costume....so no job....if he didn't wear size 16 shoes I would have been the Grandma of Goofy!!!!
So sad, I would have been proud to tell people that my grandson was Goofy and his girlfriend was Minnie Mouse....which she was!

It's funny how different image you get from Adam and Sauli -relationship when you stop reading the Adam-forums for a couple of weeks and read Sauli's blogs about his life in US and watch his videoblogs. He is so calm, balanced and seemingly happy and lives ordinary everyday life with Adam in LA.

Then you come after a few weeks to these A-forums and there are "fights" going and assumptions and rumors spreading out how he is moving/has to move from US, how they have broken up/just about to break up etc. Hilarious!

So, I smile here and trust the guys are doing allright. And I decide again to leave these forums for a while (although here are some so charming personalities, just to mention JAK, Lam-my and Lizard Eyes) and live in peace and wait till Adam's brilliant single and album are released and surely totally different tour starts. And meanwhile I concentrate on Sauli here in his distant home country and enjoy his joyfullness, smile and laughter and also Adam in many entertaining ways (vids, blogs etc). These battles are waste of time, as Adam says.

How soooo sad can that be, huh??? I felt it on my flesh (and I'm a «straight» Glambitch!) when last May I lost my 3 years job at «Hell's Kitchen» only because I defended a couple of young gay boys, my co-workers... The hotel fired them because they were living a «very open life», daring to hold hands during chats at the employees dining hall, kissing good bye at the end of work and «openly» looking for a place to live together. I don't regret what I did for them, specially because they were the only co-workers who helped me during my illness and visited me when I was twice at «hellspital» for treatments and surgery. All the others (co-workers, friends at job)... oh, fear! The golden couple is alright now, living and working together in other island and soon I will be alright too, I keep it always positive, feeling God with me all the time.

As for what should be the REAL & important topic here, yes, gay people can be fired in many states just for being gay. A lot of people don't realize that there are NO federal protections for sexual orientation at the state level. In other words, the states get to decide if gays can be discrimated against. I think it's a crying shame & that there should be a federal law, just like there is for race, national origin, etc. Gay people still have quite a bit of way to go in terms of our rights as human beings. This is just the beginning.

All people should have equal civil rights and protections under federal law, regardless of sexual orientation. Period.

Sauli will never be a problem for Adam's career I can assure that, although I don't know him personally, but I've never heard or read a bad story about him. Adam can only damage his career making the wrong choices, related to his brand and image and most of all pissing off his own fans, but in the end it's his career.

I just posted on another thread that Adam and his social activism are forever intertwined. It's not just about the music and never will be with Adam. It's part of who he is and why we love him. He doesn't have to limit himself to singing alone. Both his music and his human rights passions are equally powerful. I embrace all aspects of Adam. He's beautiful.
