'Cuckoo' is Another Adam Lambert Song From "Trespassing"

Adam's UK Publicist Shoshanna Stone (@shoshannastone) revealed on Twitter that 'Cuckoo' is one of Adam's new song titles.

"Ok Glamberts, the song @popjustice was referring to when he said 'a bit like Justice VS Daft Punk with a big pop hat on' is called 'Cuckoo'. And it's amazing. Really really amazing. Can't wait for everyone to hear it :) #trespassing #adamlambert"

Here is Claude Kelly's version of 'Cuckoo':

(Apparently Shoshanna Stone has said this is not the song Adam recorded.)

Admin, If that is not the song Adam recorded, then you should delete the video. Fans should not spread misinfomation about Adam.

Oh no, I hope this isn't one of them. Yet another Claude Kelly song? When will they release one that Adam actually wrote?

I like this song
a lot

like all adam songs-its his voice- golden voice angelic voice the best in the whole world.

Bahahaha!!! This is a joke right? Not even Adam could make this crap sound good.

Merry Christmas all!!

6:08, get outa this site if you think Adam "sucks".
And besides that, it's the Holidays and you are fucking rude!

I hope for his next tour hes gonna do arenas, and stadiums.

Well, I really like it though not the "Cuckoo" so much. Great beat. I could see Adam making this a great song.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure if BB recorded a song with the same title,it sounds NOTHING like this demo.We need to watch/listen to BTIKM more,& post more good remarks..The count hasn't been changed in 2-3 days.It should be @ least 330,872 views, but it's still the same as it was for a few days..dang it!!I really LOVE it,but don't like to see some of those comments from some of those people..most are good & also the reviews..but please go there & let's get MORE views..they'll have to change it then,I hope.I agree that the demo of "Cuckoo" should be deleted.

Anonymous said...

Cuckoo for Cocoa PUFFS!!! where is all these song titles coming from? it sounds like nothing Adam would sing.

Anonymous said...

I agree that if this is not the song Adam recorded, then it should be removed, only because it will get people all confused and making commments based on misinformation. I have complete confidence that the rest of the songs on the new album will be great and will include more than one real hit. And YES, please let's get back to giving Adam's music more views and listens to keep the numbers up! I know we've been busy with Christmas, etc., but let's get back to supporting ADAM! Nobody else can get his music to the top but US!

The vevo counts haven't been updated, but lets all go over and keep listening to it. His voice is amazing. This song is probably a rumor. Guess we will have to wait and see. Adam can work his magic on any song!

Admin has posted that this is NOT the correct version of the song (see note in parenthesis under song clip) and here is a tweet from @shoshannastone:

I don't think this is a joke like bikms Claude Kelly and now it's Adam single .

For 6:08 I agree with it ,cuckoo is ugly and weird name and another Claude Kelly song!!!!

Gaga,Adele, perry ,Jessie j they all have smash hit and they write they own song.Adam dosent.

I'm agree with Simon said Adam is theatrical so it's not current remember when Adam auditioned,he's again haven't changed and sticking to he's theatrical .

I don't see it singing those emotional song would fit big arenas and stadiums.

New Adam Lambert Song Title Revealed, Making Fans Go 'Cuckoo'
December 26, 2011 08:10 PM EST
1 person recommends this | comments: 1
Adam Lambert's publicist has just revealed another song title off his upcoming album Trespassing. The song is called "Cuckoo," which is exactly how many fans reacted when they learned about it, being excited to get one more clue about Adam's new music. His publicist Shoshanna Stone tweeted: "Ok Glamberts, the song @popjustice was referring to when he said 'a bit like Justice VS Daft Punk with a big pop hat on' is called 'Cuckoo.'" She followed with a teaser, "And it's amazing. Really really amazing. Can't wait for everyone to hear it :) #trespassing #adamlambert" It's unknown why Shoshanna spilled the beans on the song title. Some people were unhappy and even tweeted to her that she should have let Adam share the information. But he must have been okay with it, because Shoshanna responded to a fan, "I wouldn't tweet info without him knowing......."

Could this be a song that Adam worked on with Bonnie McKee? In May, when they were in the studio together, Bonnie tweeted, "Literally losing our minds tonight. @adamlambert is popping the 'coo' as we speak." Coincidence? Fans won't know until the album and liner notes are available in March. Interestingly, a song titled "Cuckoo" by Claude Kelly (the writer of the lead single from Trespassing) was found by Adam's fans on the Internet today. Shoshanna Stone says that is not the song, but maybe she just wants to throw fans off track? Again, only time will tell.

Now five song titles have been disclosed from Adam Lambert's sophomore album, including "Better Than I Know Myself," "Trespassing," "Outlaws of Love," "Shady," and "Cuckoo." As anticipation for the album continues to build, more information will probably come out over the next couple of months. What do you think of the song titles so far? Are you intrigued?

I like emotional songs. They MEAN something! Adele's songs mean something and she's doing okay. I'm not sold on arena music. Money isn't everything!

Anonymous said...

9:24 I have heard all kinds of music in arenas, ALL KINDS.

Anonymous said...

Cuckoo is the correct name for this song! I'm glad it's not the Cuckoo Adam is recording .... well, I hope it isn't!

Shady? I don't think I've heard that song. Surely I'd remember it if I had.

What is and isn't being recorded on Trespassing is driving me cuckoo! :D

i hope this is it. love this song!

I have a speculation about what might(yes, might. Don't know for sure.) be going on with Adam. I think something happened with the cd that was not Adam's choice. Remember when he tweeted that the album was supposed to be released at all theses earlier dates and it didn't happen? I think RCA demanded that something be reworked or changed and Adam disagreed. Of course, he wasn't going to admit this to fans. Even Eber tweeted that Adam should "go with your gut" about something.
Maybe this whole situation with the fight with Sauli and drinking while jeltlagged is due to the added stress of having to delay the album. And, perhaps the legal issues with BFM did not hellp matters, either. If I had all of that crap going on in my life AND it was talked about in public,I'd be stressed out!

Here I am! Did you think I’d miss a chance to do a wicked pirouette on my wooden leg and deprive the Pyro..Berts and Glam Inquisition of their right to expose and burn a heretic like me?!
Although I stick with my food/cooking metaphore, as previously stated (I hate that the 'demos' are 'available'), I actually can stay awake on this song. Isn't this strange?! HaHaHa. Cuckoooo indeed! However, I hope they killed that stupid parrot in the cuckoo clock (you know, the 'Oohhhs' at the beginning and in the end; to quote a living classic: ”what the hell was that”!? ). Apart from that, I could listen to a 'cuckoo' like this one in my car, even dance or/and get (serene) drunk on it! If this is it (as there are many ’Cuckoos’ out there... I mean, on YT), I think I like it. I did put the headphones on (as advised) and hit the replay button. Yup, it works. I can stand it!
:-)

Well, this can't be the song she's referring to, because it is NOT amazing.

Anonymous said...

I think that she tweeted again saying that Adam wrote his Cuckoo song himself.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know where I can listen to "Shady"? I can't find it on YouTube.

Anonymous said...

Why did Adam's 24/7 post this song if it isn't Adam's new song? Whata loada sh!te!! lol

Anonymous said...

Sometimes its just hard to believe that he went from stellar AI performances to this. Yuk!

Anonymous said...

There are millions/billions of words out there. Why can't writer's come up with a title that hasn't already been used by someone else? And why can't Adam do his own stuff (he says he's written loads) instead of other people's shoddy demos? I want ORIGINALITY and to hear his VOICE, not sythisized techno-crap that drowns him out. I am not a troll, but I AM a fan of real MUSIC, not computer generated auto-tune that even Beiber can make. Adam stunned us all with his vocals, so why is he killing them?

Anonymous said...

It's funny and disappointing when fans reacts right away indeed...

Let's hear Adams performance and you decide again people:))))

10:51 Good point. But you know you will get bashed into the ground for speaking your honest opinion here. I feel pretty much the same way as you about synthesized techo crap as you put it. The latest Britney Spears hit is not even recognizable as a human voice it's been so manipulated. And then there's Ke$ha. Apparently no one cares about great vocals, or lyrics, for that matter, as long as there's that monotonous pulsating house beat. I hope Adam gets what he's looking for with this album, but I wonder.

Anonymous said...

Come on now. What's with the misinformation or leaks regarding Adam's album. I was under the impression that he wrote most of the songs for the new album. Is there some issue, some problem that is causing the long wait for the album's release? Just the title "Cuckoo" turns me off. I want to hear Adam's spectacular voice on some amazing music and the anticipation of waiting for the completed album is nerve-wracking. There is so much hype about it that I hope when we do hear it finally that it will all that it has been rumored to be. I want Adam to have the success, fame and fortune that he so deserves and this second album should be the one that gives him all the accolades that have so far eluded him.

Anonymous said...

10:51 and 11:28

I soooo agree with you two!!
Was wondering myself: Do you think it's possible to absolutely LOVE Adam and his voice and live performances, but not really be enthusiastic about the music that he creates??

Anonymous said...

Boy, so many opinions about a song we've never heard. It makes absolutely no difference who wrote the song. Hit songs are not always written by the singer. Pop music does NOT reward good singers. It's all about the song. Today's pop songs tend to sound tinny and over-produced. Adam has a theater-quality voice, way too good for what is currently popular, but he has to try to break into the top level somehow. Katy and Keish have already "made it," so people will buy whatever they come out with regardless of its quality. WHY BASH ADAM's SONGS before we hear them? His voice will shine through. Look at FYE. Many of us thought it was over-produced, too, but we love it anyway. AND, I wish some posters would stop saying that just because one song sounds one way, that the whole album will sound tht way. That wasn't the case with FYE, was it? My blood pressure goes us when people jump the gun. He's still the great singer he's always been. Can't we trust his judgement even a little?

Perhaps if the site wouldn't publish rumors and song bytes that we don't even know to be an Adam song, people wouldn't jump to conclusions. However, the rumors were correct about the Claude Kelly single, and I'm not impressed. It was a great disappointment, particularly since Adam didn't even write it.

Anonymous said...

I really don't care what are the craps going on right now!!!????

When Adam open his mouth and sing the song is magical no matter what.....

I'm just gonna wait when he

performs again:))))

Nothing is over produced when he perform live....

What a critical bunch we are. When will we give up on what we want and accept that Adam's going to sing what he wants. He LIKES pop music with synth and techno.
If I'd had MY WAY Adam would have headed straight to Broadway after Idol. He has a stage voice, he should be appearing in one musical after another but that's not what he wanted,so I've learned to ignore the fact that I don't like
the style of some of his recordings and just listen for the voice, that never lets me down.
He wants to be a pop recording star, accept it or just move on to someone else. You can't make him over. I am grateful that I know there will be several songs on his new album I will like. I'm one of those people who loved his acoustic album. I'm sort of a purist, I think his best music was in Europe when he sang with just Monte and Longineau. I loved Unplugged.

I don't care who writes the songs,
one of the reasons we have some crappy music is because some singers insist on writing their own music, they make more money that way...not taking advantage of excellent professional writers.

Adam likes to collaborate...he wants his voice to speak out with his viewpoint on some of the songs, but if a perfect melody and lyric is handed to him, he recognizes it and is smart enough to use it. Whether any part of this Cuckoo song is used or not, I like the music, it's R&B, which I like.

I loved the songs Adam sang on Idol too...they were all proven successful songs and Adam can sing anything...but "standards" aren't his style. That disappointed a lot of Idol fans, I guess they wanted him to make a career out of singing covers! Which he could have, but not what he wanted.

The fandom seems composed of those who think he can do nothing right (to their wishes) and those who think he can do nothing wrong, (also foolish).
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. He's a really special guy and was born to sing. I'm so glad he showed up in my lifetime!

Thank you Jak, I agree.

Jak - I agree with you, we already have Michael Buble, the old standards singer, don't need another one in Adam.

However, Adam perpetually on Broadway doesn't work for me. Can you imagine how quickly he would become bored doing the same thing night, after night, after matinee, after night. I would like to see him perform on broadway for a six month run in a fabulous new musical written for his vocals, then take those songs on tour and change them up as only he can do. JMO

It's quite funny how you use the word "we" in your first sentence and then go on to be one of the most critical here in your opinion of what you want/wanted from Adam. At least you have given him the benefit of the doubt in saying "that's not what he wants" as if you were talking about his choice of ice cream for dessert.

This is irony in the best meaning of the word and the 24/7 readers from Rio Linda fall for it every time. Mind boggling.

Anonymous said...

Jeez, so many comments to your post, JAK. That makes me want to skip mine. Almost. But no, I just can't. It took me a while to think this through. :-)

You must know by now that I can’t agree with everything someone says... I even disagree with myself sometimes (pray for me!)... Yup, “the truth lies somewhere in the middle” and no one, not even you or I, is around! So, you see, I’m afraid I can’t completely agree with you, no matter how much sense you make (and you do make sense and I agree with most of it, I’m afraid).
However, I’ll tell you where I disagree and why. (In or out of your context) I can’t agree with giving up on what 'we want' and learning 'to ignore' what 'we' don’t like. First, that’s so not Glam, my dear. Why can’t we all just talk freely about what we want and what we don’t like as long as we don’t try to impose our views on others? Second, there is an implication very nice hidden there ( you’ve got to love my tautological mind - of course the implication ‘is hidden’... when it’s not logically obvious :-) ), namely that if one doesn't ‘give up to what one wants’ (or doesn’t like pop music for that matter), it means one does not accept AL as he is or tries “to make him over”. (Btw, I think the “excellent professional writers” can and write crapy music too).

I also liked the “European trio” and, if you ask me, the peaks of my GNT experience were, probably, Monte’s solos (and to think that I didn’t know or care about him when he played with Madonna in my own city!). So what if the next ..Bert loves the... electric shock waves and says so? I’ve heard it’s a good treatment for kidney stones. We might all benefit, as well.
It’s true though, some ..Berts seem to wave their swords when they ‘talk’. I for one like to wave my glam-buffoon license (signed by myself and somehow acknowledged here). I believe one should not be scared of the boisterous knights and buffoons, even goblins or trolls, but rather pay attention to a self-proclaimed royal advisor and all those liege subjects who stab the knifes at random people (whom they declare disloyal) without waving anything in advance.
“The fandom seems composed of those who think he can do nothing right (to their wishes) and those who think he can do nothing wrong, (also foolish).” Again, it seems right, but... Can you really point out a particular fan to each category, please? How can you really tell, with all the no-names or even the tags? I’m terrified of the social logic of black and white (although I love them in art work), I rather endure the strident colors. Do you know what I mean, JAK?

And JAK... I drive my mom crazy with my comments too, but I love her to death. :-)

GLb

PS: @December 28, 2011 2:37 PM
I love the 'We'. 'We' is good, 'We' is safe. 'We' love the majestic 'We'. :-)

Gee, I didn't think I was being critical of Adam at all. I was discussing how we all want to pull him different ways. I knew my chance of hearing him on Broadway was a no go from the beginning, he had stated he was bored with the stage. I also would have loved him as an all out arena rocker or crooning love songs or singing light opera. BUT most of all I want to hear him sing what makes him happy.

I find it mind boggling and ironic that I' ve never heard of Rio Linda, but I hope there are many Adam fans there.

@ GLb

I think I do know what you mean...I love the stark beauty of black and white photography and some films, but I wouldn't want to live in one. I much prefer strident and audacious color and discussions in my life.

I doubt my wonderful, practical, unimaginative mother ever understood me but she was my champion all her life. I come from a long line of debaters and love the kick of adrenalin before an exchange of ideas begin. Our family Christmas Eve was a blast that I'm still recoverng from. We are a verbose group!

Nice chatting with you again!

It took me a few minutes to realize I'd been insulted. Shame on me. No, not by JAK, who would expect her to know where Rio Linda is, she lives in Florida? But I figure you live in CA. We are a very small town but we aren't stupid. But you must be.

I didn't find JAK being critical of Adam, but I did find you insulting to the residents of Rio Linda. We didn't fall for anything, but we did recognize that you chose to misread a comment that a lot of us understood
with no problem, even we rednecks in Rio Linda. I sure hope you're not a neighbor!
