The "purpose" would be that no one can sing like Adam, or have his stage presence. This guy won for a tribute band, not the real thing.

This is great to hear again. More "real Queen" with Adam in 2012! I'm sure there will still be those who will be confused about the Tribute Band and Adam, but it'll all work out. Adam will be on stage with the real guys.

"Some people" have no clue! Queen loves Adam..and the Queen "Tribute Band" will have their own touring schedule, completely separate from Queen. Adam's "purpose" would be to sing with Queen. Not too hard to figure out really. : )

Roger knows a superstar when he sees one. Tale a great to know a great!

I suppose there is a chance that Queen may wish to do something again with Adam, which would be great. Pretty sure Adam is concentrating on Trespassing and his own career, which makes more sense.

I'm happy with just a couple of prestige performances. Don't have to be the olympics, since I'm not a fan of the olympic games. The rest of the time, if Adam wants to tour bars and night clubs with his own band, I'm fine with that too.

Hate to say it but i was all for this collaboration until i heard Mark Martel. WOW he is somehow a Freddy clone. His voice sounds EXACTLY like Freddy's. If u get a chance take a listen. Absolutely nothing against Adam, but really no comparison when it comes to Queen. Please dont hate me!!

Why is is hard for some to understand the difference between the real Queen and the tribute band.?
Adam will be busy doing his own thing, and maybe perform with Queen at a special event. Thats a maybe. the Tribute competion has been going on for a while and Adam was never up for it.

I loved Freddie and Martel is blessed with a beautiful voice.

Adam is unique and no comparison with anyone when it comes to his voice. For me he is in his own league.

6:39. I agree. I was blown away by Marc's voice. A little eerie, but very talented.

If he's so close to Freddy, Mark Martel SHOULD be the lead singer in the tribute band. That's GREAT! Adam does not sound like Freddy and doesn't try to. He's his own man. I think the tribute band will be very, very good!

@6:39PM I think Bryan neither than Roger never want to replace Freddie. Which isn't possible. Just watched Mark Mortel on youtube. He just want to be Freddie clone and doesn't have his own personality. I can't see him as flamboyant performer who can entertain 100,000 people. Queen wants to get stage persona with big voice and big talent as a performer! And Adam is only one who was born to entertain.

Brian and Roger have said that Adam's "theatrical" style as well as his amazing vocal range makes him a great fit with Queen. They are not looking to recreate the original Queen by finding a replacement for Freddie.

There are Glamberts who think Adam has a better voice than Freddie and now they’re dissing Marc Martel because he’s been chosen for the Queen Tribute band. GIVE IT A REST! Yes, Adam has a fantastic voice but he’s not only great singer on the planet.

I've just finished watching Part 2 of the doco "Queen: Days of Our Lives". The 2nd half is so sad. It made me quite emotional. Do watch Parts 1 and 2 of this doco if you're interested. It's well worth it.

@12:35AM It was competition for "Queen Tribut Band" tour.
There were 700 contestants. Few of them were chosen for Queen Tribute band tour. But Bryan and Roger are sponsors and judges. They are not gonna play in this tour.
I read about this deal few weeks ago.

wow- just heard marc martel sing, he's fantastic!! BUT no one moves me like adam does. Maybe it's adam's sexiness, looks, stage presence. They are completely different, but that mark guy does sound just like freddie mercury!

I'm also hoping Adam and Queen will entertain at the Olympics! It would be incredible exposure to Adam's stunning talent and we would again see and hear the best of the best together! Adam indeed is unique and his own man and has his own creative dreams to pursue, but I think he'd be honored to play again with Queen for special events.

@9:54AM I got absolutely the same feelings when I saw this boy. He has great voice, but doesn't have any personality. Marc doesn't have flame, fireworks!!!! I didn't get any goosebumps when I heard his voice for the first time.
Freddie was wild and flamboyant. Adam is a "huricane"!
