I vividly remember my feelings after having heard FOR THE FIRST TIME the short FYE snippet - no vid, no pics - just the short snippet… I was hooked… Then read the lyrics, which I sang “No escaping when YOU start - Once You’re in You own my heart…” So it was there and then I knew, that what ever You’re about to do, AFL, I can handle it and I’m here for the ride of my life…and the ride CONTINUES…

Never knew Claude wrote FYE,wasn't all that crazy about the song. I did love the video. Adam looks really hot in the BTIKM vid pic. Hair is soft and gorgeous, the long black EMA coat and of course medges. He might have a couple different outfits on during the video. But yay for the beautiful hair! and song of course!

ADAM took FYE off this planet! I had the piviledge of watching Adam perform FYE at the Mardi Gras and he was sensational, mindblowing!
A moment I shall treasure ALL my life! FYE should have been embraced by the US but they shunned it instead and boy, did they miss out, and yet other artists were accepted when they far exceeded so called US standards! Go figure! This was Adam at his best!

Hells bells, the bloody AMA stuff coming up yet again! When will people let it go and realise what an awesome song FYE is! Throughout the world it was adored. Incredible music video which we watch every single day. Adam got ripped off for sure.

Agree FYE is one of the best songs to come out in years. It did not get the recognition it deserved. It was pulled so quick after the AMA's and replaced with WWFM. which was "more family friendly." One of life's biggest disappointments is that Adam didn't sing FYE during GNT until he went International. Doubt anyone doesn't know the reason for that decision...but then the public almost demanded that he kiss Tommy during Fever, so go figure.

3:23 -- Agree SO much with your comment. I couldn't believe it when I saw that copy. Adam's video was SO great, but was totally ignored after the AMAs. Such an incredible shame that a music video director, a songwriter and an amazing singer (Adam) were absolutely robbed of a Grammy. That's the other side of the music industry, the ugly side that people don't see.

Well, enough with the past. Adam himself is always MOVING FORWARD, and so will I following him in all his great projects now and in the future.

Adam f...ing Lambert is a real pro. He knows that this BTIKM's music video "look" is really important because it's the first of his second full length album. This is the MV that people will first associate with his TRESPASSING cd. And his "look", from what I see in that pic is superb!!! The song is already a hit with me. Now, what I need is that amazing video.

The actual truth IS Adam did not sing FYE well at all the night of the AMA's. I know he didn't; his father said it was the worst vocal he had ever heard from him, and Adam himself said he didn't sing it well. The pressure got to him that night and he blew it in more ways than one. The video was wonderful, but by then the damage was done. It's not my favorite on the album, but I like it. I personally would have titled the album STRUT and used that as the opening single. That song had an anthem that was universal and certainly was representative of Adam. However, I wanted Sleepwalker to be his next single after If I Had You, and apparently the powers that be didn't think there should be any more singles released. Pity. I love the desperate, raw emotion in Sleepwalker.

I agree wholeheartedly with you regarding Sleepwalker & to me this sounds the most like BTIKM.
Time for Miracles will always be my favourite & I could never figure out why it didn't do better, Adam's voice just outstanding on this song.

I wonder if the songs had been released in a different order, would it have impacted the sales figures in any way?

The music world seems to be a complex one!

FYE is a smokin' hot song! When I first heard it, I thought, "This is NOT the American Idol Adam Lambert! This is sex god who is not afraid to flaunt it!" And boy, was I right! Still love the song. Adam looks great in this BTIKM pic. The hair looks FINE! Whew! Won't be long now!

I think the FYE is the sexiest, rockingest music video of all, and any resemblance to it is a poor knockoff. I can't help but feel that a homophobic backlash was responsible for its lack of support and acceptance in the US.

I also thought FYE was a brilliant video and there is no doubt in my mind that it was damaged by the AMA saga. But like Adam we need to suck it up and move on, and he sure is heading in the right direction with all of us on tow.

I love FYI but it still never was my favorite song (which actually is STRUT) - I liked IIHY and WWFM better. But the mv on the other hand was (and still is) the best freaking video I've ever seen!!

And I just have to say this: everytime I see these smoking hot pictures of Adam my first thought is that Sauli's one hell of a lucky guy! LOL

5:14. Thanks for your response on Sleepwalker. And I definitely agree about Time For Miracles. His voice on that was astounding, but it was never played at all in my radio area, and it was in the movie. When Brian May says it gave him goosebumps to hear those vocals in that song, you KNOW what a master at his craft thinks about Adam. I burned a disk of inspirational songs for my friend and her husband who were facing his brain cancer. TFM was on that disk, and she specifically asked me who was singing it. And she was never really an AI watcher or an Adam fan. That song is a true arena anthem.

I hope and pray that Adam's first T.V. performance of BTIKM will blow up T.V. Tubes and we see it go all the way up to No. 1 on iTunes. Positive buzz the next day on internet and t.v. magazines like Extra, ET, etc. Let's all send out positive vibes to the universe for it to happen.

I really like FYE, the single and the video..although it was hard for me to listen to or watch it for awhile after "the performance", just because......Since then, I've been really fortunate to see Adam perform it live a few times as well, and I have to say, its really a treat, because in so many ways, FYE IS Adam! I was thrilled that he added it to the International GNT concerts and then performed it in Hawaii and LA...I think it will eventually be appreciated for what it was, a fun, rather naughty and sexy piece of music that could be interpreted in more than one way : ) And the music video was and is, amazingly well done and fun to watch...And wow! did Adam look GOOD!

Ray Kay is a fabulous music video director and I expect a creative, visually stunning, moody, and electric music vid for Better Than I Know Myself. I've only seen one picture from the "shoot" but I certainly liked what I saw....

About "Time for Miracles": My husband and I went on a little "Sunday Drive" today, and I just "happened" to have one of my Playlist CD's of some of my favorite songs, and of course several were Adam's, including "Time For Miracles". My husband, who is a fan as well, was thinking "out loud" and wondered why "Time For Miracles" "wasn't on the first album".. I said well, it actually was, he said "Oh that's right. So why was it never released and why did we never hear it...because I REALLY liked it." I said well,, I don't know...Guessing perhaps because the movie didn't do well...I don't really know..It just really never went anywhere.. Another song that should have been played on the radio..and the Music Video should have done better too....Adam looked so good in it...and it was a beautiful song. Another one of those mysteries of the music industry...

I listen to Time For Miracles after a long time and I said to myself oh WOW that's a beautiful song. Hope Adam performs it live on his next tour.

Just throwing it out there glamberts and all of us that have been here for years, Is anyone afraid that this new album won't be the same as FYI? I personaly LOVE every song on that album (that's never happened before for me) I know it's new stuff and I already love OLL and his new single, so that's 2 I love- I;m just afraid it won't mesure up to FYI- seriously I love every song on that album- I don't want to love only 3 or 4 of this new one. I guess i don't like change very much and I'm so scared I won't like this new album and won't admit it to myself? Does anyone else feel this way? Believe me I love adam to deathI just hope it's not all crazy hip-hop dance music stuff!

To 8;45PM The feelings you expressed, fleetingly crossed my mind at one point because I love the FYE album too. But I didn't love all the songs on the first listen.Loaded Smile was an exception in that it blew me away the first time I heard it and of course I had heard Time for Miracles before the album was released and loved it immediately. Anticipating this next album, I don't feel worried that I won't feel passionate about it because all the songs will be sung by Adam and there's something about his VOICE and his interpretation of the songs that make them so beautiful for me to listen to. I think back to Idol. Several of the covers that Adam performed on that show were songs I didn't like or were just okay to me. When Adam stepped on to the stage and did his rendition of the songs -each one was brand new and absolutely amazing to me and most of the time I fell in love with the song as a result! What can I say? I hope this helps a little ......

I agree. FYE was one of my faves and the video is still my fave to date.

Its a shame he didnt perform FYE as it was on the MV on the AMA's, then this would have been a huge hit.
Him doing what he did in that AMA performanc is the reason the song wasnt promoted like it should have been. Terrible start right out of the gate.
Lesson learned.

There were several songs that did not get promoted as they should have. FYE, Fever, Strut, Sleepwalker and Time For Miracles. If promoted properly all could have been hits
