@Alexandra 3:00 PM Its still not officially confirmed by Adam or by Queen YET..but its being reported everywhere else as of this morning..There is supposedly a "The Insider" (somewhere) interview with Roger Taylor of Queen that started making the rounds today..The Queen Fansite has reported it but I don't think the OFFICIAL Queen site has said anything to confirM or deny at this point. And twitter silence so for from Adam..Here's what is "known": This is one of but a multitude of places that it has been reported..This happens to be a radio station, but all of the stories are the same:

QUEEN -- + ADAM LAMBERT -- WILL ROCK US SEVERAL TIMES THIS SUMMER
4/9/2012
It looks like Queen will be busy with new frontman Adam Lambert this summer. Drummer Roger Taylor tells The Insider that he and guitarist Brian May are planning to play four shows with the former "American Idol" finalist -- a June 30 concert in Moscow, another with Elton John in Kiev and two early July shows at the Hammersmith Apollo in England. The latter is to provide "some alternative...for some of the people who had bought tickets" to a July 7 Sonishpere festival date in England that was canceled. "We're really excited about it," Taylor says. "Adam...of course he has this unbelievable range, like Freddie (Mercury) had range. Adam can really cover it. He's an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality." As for doing more with Lambert, Taylor says that "we're just going to see what happens, how well it goes, how we get on." Taylor and May first performed with Lambert during the 2009 "Idol" finals and then at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards. Taylor says he and May have also been approached to be part of the Summer Olympics closing ceremonies in London but adds that "I don't think we're meant to say too much about it yet." Taylor and May are currently busy getting the new tribute road show, "The Queen Extravaganza," ready for its May 26 opening in Quebec, including a two-night "introduction" of the cast on the April 25-26 episodes of "American Idol." The "Extravaganza" plays on May 31 at Detroit's Fox Theatre.
****PLEASE NOTE: The last part about "The Queen Extravaganza" is totally unrelated to Queen and Adam...so be sure not to think Queen will be appearing on the American Idol Finale...
The dancers' choreography and outfits were not in sinc at first. They got MUCH better with a little time. That is why fans quit saying they were distracting.
Realize that Queen will not actually be performing, but their tribute band will be. Perhaps Roger Taylor will be a mentor for those 2 days, which would be awesome. He has the chops. Show will be down to top five at that time. Waiting for confirmation, but the Moscow Show is posted on Adam Official.
@The Dark Side What?? I'm confused about what you mean: The Two shows in Hammersmith, London, at the Apollo are with Adam (according to the above info...and other sources) and the two in Russia as well.
The Queen Extravaganza is not what they're talking about in that particular case. The last part of the long paragraph is referring to the Tribute Band.......Is that what you're referring to??? Or???
RE Adam and Queen specifically:
..."Drummer Roger Taylor tells The Insider that he and guitarist Brian May are planning to play four shows with the former "American Idol" finalist -- a June 30 concert in Moscow, another with Elton John in Kiev and two early July shows at the Hammersmith Apollo in England. The latter is to provide "some alternative...for some of the people who had bought tickets" to a July 7 Sonishpere festival date in England that was canceled".....
As someone said that stage showed that Adam's band represented people of all ages, sexes, races, sizes and that just rocks!!! The stage was rather small so where else would the girls stand?? I love them and they complimented the performance and hope they'll be used next time.
The girls are fine. I'm just used to backup singers being off to the side. Usually they are only right there behind the lead singer if they are more a part of a singing group like the Temptations, Jackson 5, or the Chi Lites, for example. It not a big deal. I thought they sounded fine (though I could barely hear them on the video). Overall, I loved the whole performance.
I thought the singers were absolutely fine and it's a nice move for Adam from backing tracks to real, live singers. The other thing they did was cue the audience clapping, which is one of the things is really like about Trespassing.
Roger Taylor has a LOT to do with the Queen Extravaganza concerts. He was part of the auditioning panel and appears to be overseeing it all but neither he nor Brian May are performing at the concerts.
To answer the question----Adam Lambert, of course, is my all time favorite AI.---don't watch it anymore---I found Adam and no one else can compare to him. Adam was "perfection" last night on the NNN Awards. I think the two girl back-up singers were ok, but should have been to the side of him. Adam is the STAR and nothing should distract from his performance . He owns the stage and I like to see him and not too much of anybody else!! It looked like the stage that he was on was small and somewhat crowded. I don't think Adam needs any dancers either. Again, Adam is the star of the show--lets pay attention to him!!!!
About Adam and the back-up girls singing: To be honest, I didn't even notice or hear the girls. My eyes and ears were transfixed to ADAM! No biggie about the girls. Absolutely riveting performance by our ADAM LAMBERT! How can he get betterer and betterer! nancddruuu2
I really don't understand the negative comments about the ladies backing up Adam's vocals. Seriously. I have a big 50 TV and even then there was no way I was taking my eyes off of Adam...So although I knew they were there..I didn't actually SEE them...Or hear them for that matter. Which in my mind means they did their job well. Adam DOES need back-up sometimes to get the full sound of the song as it is on the album track..He can't sing harmony or layered tracks with himself live...
@Anon 2:40 PM I disagree, the song was fabulous and I'm curious to know why you would say this: " the backup singers should not have been used. they take away from how good the song is without them." I think the song and Adam were AMAZING..I'm not being critical of you, I'm just not hearing what you're hearing...or seeing what you're seeing... : ))
I watched Adam singing Trespassing and when it was over I thought, wow, I didn't hear those large ladies, so I backed it up and I listened really hard but couldn't hear the large ladies.
Adam brought back shades of Zodiac when he walked off stage after his last note. Loved it. Loved the song. Loved the fierceness of Adam. All in all it was a great performance by a great singer.

Anon 2:30 :Isn't that what some of you said about the dancers. It takes nothing away from Adam!
Adam Lambert is DEF my favorite American Idol performer.
The dancers' choreography and outfits were not in sinc at first. They got MUCH better with a little time. That is why fans quit saying they were distracting.
Thank you very much for answering . Hope they will do the concerts. It s a huge oportunitty for Adam

Ashley outifit was cute!
Just to emphasize: that Queen Extravaganza tribute band has nothing to do with Adam and Brian and Roger. Hope people don't mix it up.
I thought Adam gave an amazing performance! I LOVED it!
