Did Adam have problems with acoustics again? Isaac drums are very loud! Where is Tommy? Who are these guy singing on background? Very strange performance:(

I was just gonna say. I hope this is just to save money because he went overseas and is just using local musicians, since it's just for one performance. I sincerely hope he didn't drop The Vajajays!

I agree his band is so much better.

Please, watch NCOE on VH1! There are just slightly over 8,200 views right there! And Adam needs 20K!

And yes, it would be really expensive to take all of his band with him..for just a few shows...not cost effective..No doubt his regular back up band will be back with him when he comes back to the US for concerts...

This is a benefit concert!!!! Don't panic, please. Adam was never going to perform with his own band at this show. It's a charity show where the acts used the same band, I believe. I never assumed that Adam's own band would be at this gig. Don't worry, I don't think anything bad is happening with the band. They will all be there when Adam does own real shows. This promo tour may use only a few musicians here and there, depending on the venue. No sense having the whole band there when he's not going to use them all the time.

I would love to hear ALL the songs Adam sang at this show, not just Trespassing. Hope we get to hear them!

Male backup singers ? Can they keep up with Adam ?

Anonymous said...

That's right Folks!! It's a Charity event and they used different band from the UK to perform. Great job indeed!!!

The Super talented Adam gave his best tonight!! WHOA!!!!

I thought it was a cool idea that even tho Adam didn't have 'his' band with him (understandably) that they DID have a hot bass player like Ashley! And don't worry Glamberts, we KNOW Adam is sticking with his real band when it comes to his tours, etc. Just hope we get better videos of this performance.

Anonymous said...

Don't kill me, LOL! I like this temp. UK band actually better. Adam's voice is out of this world, indeed. Please post if you read any articles about this show.

Anonymous said...

great vocals. he also sang Cuckoo and NCOE, under dressed for Adam.. the boots are the flash, this was respectful attire for the occasion.

Anonymous said...

I heard the word ASS during the charity event. that is funny! no censors! what?

Anonymous said...

jolly good show this adam guy

Anonymous said...

where's the band? Adam needs his band at ALL times. he looks naked without them!

I thought he did great. He had to carry the whole thing himself. His voice was great, can't say much about the band I bet they had hardly any time to rehearse. There were 1500 kids there who have or had very serious illnesses. I bet they all loved it.

Anonymous said...

Thank you for the links to the other two songs at Albert Hall! Adam killed it, of course!

Not sure he should be singing the "F" word in front of a bunch of sick kiddoes. I think there are times when he should adapt a bit. The vocals are still there.

Anonymous said...

So glad he sang Trespassing though. I can be a hit!!! Kids are the ones who buy songs and CDs. They will love it! And Cuckoo and Shady. Kids don't like songs like BTOKM and NCOE. I love all of them. I love every song on the CD, every one!

Anonymous said...

@8:31PM I think Adam didn't have to sing "Tresspassing" & "Cuckoo" at all! Hopefully nobody wil pay too much attention but who knows?:(

Anonymous said...

Finally, a great band for Adam. Love this new ensemble UK band. Adam's vocal is out of this world and he deserves a great band. If I'm not mistaken these professional musicians for this venue and learned to play Adam's songs in a short time. Just imagine if they were Adam's band they can be mega fabulous. KEEP THEM ADAM.

Anonymous said...

Where is Tommy?

Anonymous said...

The legs make it look cooler for sure.

Anonymous said...

There shouldn't be any cenosrs on those songs anyway, regardless of wherever it is. I did miss Tommy though.

Anonymous said...

Adam truly underdressed, which is strange for the UK. Must just be for this certain occasion.

Anonymous said...

Is this Adam Lambert 24/7 news? How come a lots of comments,is about the band? No way to luker here again...neva

Anonymous said...

good performance but missing the band here.

re: VH1 voting. Everytime I try to watch, all I get is that stupid buffering. What am I doing wrong?

Adam was perfection as always!

MotoMoto said...

Adam is a SOLO artist, he only needs musicians to accompany him regardless of who they are. I think the band did a really good job on short time notice and I am sure with more practice they will be even better at G.A.Y. I think the bass player is very cool and love her legs...the vajayjays at times get too loud and overpower Adam but this time his voice really shone.

Today really showed me that there are some who would not be fans of Adam if he changed his band and the hate tweets from crays wishing him to fail and sound horrible because he dared to play with different people made me angry. Please go follow a band and leave Adam out of it, he is working so so hard to promote himself in UK and all you care about is Tommy not playing?? F**k all of them and can they please leave the fandom because Adam's sweat and tears are for HIS success not a band or a boyfriend!!!

Why are people apologizing for liking the London band???? People need to grow up and if Tommy is you're first priority then please don't pretend to be an Adam fan tweeting his Mngmt asking why his band is not there and demanding they be there (cray cray).

Adam sounded beyond great and I hope HIS efforts bear fruit in the UK.

Anonymous said...

It's Europe - trust me very few care :)

Anonymous said...

I have to admit that the band didn't do it for me - the performance sounded a bit "flat". That doesn't mean I don't support Adam - it means that most solo artists sound better and are more alive on stage when they play with people they know and trust. I think the UK band did an okay job but I missed Isaac and Tommy on this(I heard a difference so shot me). As for not bringing the band... I understand why - not sure if it's a good idea though - sharing the load of crazy fans would prob. be more relaxing.

Anonymous said...

Trespassing is a song for a shady night club, not for Royal Albert Hall. But I must say he sang it really good. Luckily he performed NCOE too.
8:49 Btw, my kids like Cuckoo and Naked love the most, however they are too small to buy their own CDs, lol!
Blue jacket seems to be the latest fashion this year. I saw some other blue jackets on TV yesterday.

omg I think I am a cray reading all this drama on this site.

Anonymous said...

Adam is going to sing with Queen in few weeks are those Cary's against this as well? E this UK band and why the hell we talk about Adam's band? Let's all get our heads together and support only Adam.

Anonymous said...

Well those crazy fans who care about the band should go and buy shit loads of Trespassing album so Adam can pay for their expenses overseas. If you don't buy the album you won't see your beloved Glam band. You can't afford the album then request your local top 40 & HAC radios to play Adam's single so casual fans will buy the album. Also don't forget to watch NCOE video on MTV, VH1, and VEVO. Don't forget the important voting polls which helps to increase sales. If you crazy fans can't do any of these and want to live in your delusnal fantasies then don't complain when Adam hires Temp. Band because of his limited budget.

Anonymous said...

OMG, many comments here only proved a gross lack of musical knowledge and not only.Don't forget, dear crays, Adam's band is an accompaniment band, your TJR should have returned to the basics a long time ago. As for the songs Adam sang yesterday, they are the best choices, it wasn't an opera gala, it was a charity concert where the audience were mostly kids, ill kids. Adam's songs surely succeeded to cheer them up, at least for a while.

I disagree about kids only liking trespassing and BTIKM. My 10 yr old loved BTIKM when she first heard it, said it was Adams best song so far, she also loves NCOE. And for the last 2 weeks when she's been in charge on the Ipod in the car you can almost guarantee her first 5 songs to play will be Underneath, Chokehold, (Adam),Jar of Hearts,(Christina perri) Rolling in the Deep and Turning Tables (Adele. and this is over JB and one direction who I also have on the ipod.

she loves all of trespassing, but Underneath is always the one she plays first.

glitzylady said...

Gosh, such a deal!! The primary reasons for Adam to be at this gig were 1. Help raise money for the ill children and to cheer them and their families up...and to entertain.. 2. AND as an important sidelight, do some promo for himself, Adam Lambert, The SOLO Artist, not Adam Lambert and his Band....

It clearly makes NO sense to fly the entire band over to London just for one or two shows. The band backing him at the Royal Albert Hall sounded just fine, at least as much as I could tell, considering that the sound on the vids is mediocre at best..being that they are fan vids only, which I appreciate so much. As to whether they (this band/group of musicians) were "better" or "worse" than his current band, heck, I don't know..I only hear Adam anyway! I do like his current backing band very much, have met a couple of them more than once (Tommy and Isaac..), by coincidence, and they are both really nice guys and good musicians, but they are not my primary reason for going to Adam Lambert concerts. ADAM is my reason and that's it. So argue among yourselves if you wish, but it really is a rather moot point as far as I'm concerned. : ))

The FACT of the matter is that the connection Adam has with his own band (and I mean EVERYONE in the band ) DOES affect his overall performance ! lets not try to make this a Tommy cray thing .Adam is so charismatic and so talented ,but something was def lacking in theis show and it WAS the band .

Anonymous said...

WOW!!! A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE BY ADAM!!! His voice and his voice only and it was BRILLIANT!!! The band was FAB!!! The cray cray about his band not being there is absolutely ridiculous. Adam knocked it out of the ballpark and then some!!! <3

MotoMoto said...

^^^ it affects your enjoying the performance but it does not affect Adam's vocals, charisma or stage presence. The fact is that the fans have gotten personally attached to the band and no matter how well his London band play there will always be a remark of Tommy plays better or Isaac's drums are better etc. While this may be true the fact remains if he wants to change his whole band then he can do so because he is a solo artist and I will continue to support HIM. Btw I love his band and think they are so diverse and compliment Adam well on stage but again they are accompanists not the main attraction.

People need to relax, it is only for a few shows and when he comes back to the US his band will be here waiting for him....so bandberts don't get you're knickers in a twist all is well in the Glamily.

Anonymous said...

Adam is on his 4th keyboardist, 2nd drummer, 2nd bass player and 2nd lead guitar. He's only one band member short of 100% turnover and he has managed to whip every one of them into shape. Sucks for him to have to work so hard with a new band and singers when his big job is to impress the heck out of the UK right now but I've no doubt that he'll do it.

And for the record, Kevin and Tommy were pretty rocky their first time out on the new songs so let's give Adam's Euro-band a break.

Anonymous said...

Adam absolutely SHINES in this performance. I prefer male backing vocalists for a male solo artist and this band is GREAT.

Thanks glitzlady for the link to Adam's performance of NCOE, and he absolutely SHINES in that performance too.

Those who felt language in Cuckoo and Trespassing was inappropriate have obviously never been to London. No No words are heard daily on their TV shows and nudity is thought nothing of and is common.
No one raises an eyebrow at such trivial things. We are the ones who live in Puritanical USA.
Every kid in the UK hears the words and they have no shock value.
The citizens of the UK and Europe are very grown up compared to us.
Live and let live...and that includes love whomever you wish without censure. Our taboos are laughed at by most of the UK and Europe.

Anonymous said...

Based on the way Adam was dressed, I would bet there was a full briefing on what was appropriate (so sads those baggy pants) and Adam wouldn't have used those words in those songs if "language" was identified as a problem.

I thought Adam shone, too, especially in Trespassing. And that song is a little kid's song if I ever heard one.

Remember the fan who heard her 2-year-old singing "we don't like when visitors come"? It's a "terrible-two's" song. (I think Adam might still be in his "terrible two's" LOL)

Bass player has some set of "pins"

C'mon people. Adam sounded great and looked great as usual. I am sure the kids adored him. My young grandchildren love him to pieces.

Anonymous said...

I have that star glowstick. Glambets all over the world.

Anonymous said...

Calm down. It is what it is. Adam sounded great. He's 100% talented but has to work 150%. I'm so glad we have his back.

Anonymous said...

He was a power house on stage last night! It was a mega-watt performance. There were Glamberts in the crowd but most didn't know him so he turned it on full blast. Good job - very good job.

Anonymous said...

Loved the tweets on other thread from the band members he worked with on this show. They were really impressed! Ya see? The UK is finally coming around. I this this promo tour and the Queen shows will REALLY get lots of Brits on board.

And for the last time, YES, Adam is a SOLO artist who has a band that he uses for some shows, and not for others. He is ADAM LAMBERT, not ADAM LAMBERT AND THE BAND.

A great performance from Adam, but I hope we can get some better video's the sound quality on these is awful, plus the girls talking in the back ground was very annoying!! I thought the band were good but once again a bit hard to sum them up with such poor sound quality.

Anonymous said...

The Incredible Adam Lambert in Action! Thank you very much for your performance! Grateful to the comments and link the Glambert!

Anonymous said...

HH.

Anonymous said...

DRG, couldn't agree more. Adam is a SOLO artist, not the lead singer of a band.

Anonymous said...

I think the A and The F words were inappropriate for that show. I would have made other song selections. There is a time and place for everything. Time for Miracles would have been so much more appropriate in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

FABULOUS performance. Would've loved to have been there in that gorgeous auditorium listening to that drop dead gorgeous voice. I really loved that he was the shining star with the band and bvs in the background.

Anonymous said...

It's kinda hard to promote your new album singing songs from the old one...just saying.

Anonymous said...

Whether people like the choice of songs Adam sang or not, these songs are part of his new album and like it or not how on earth is he supposed to promote his new album by singing old songs from previous album. Adam does take risks, I'm sure he knows that he will either win new fans or lose some, but Adam needs to be true to himself and really words are just that their only words. Adam performed brilliantly, he dressed beautifully for the occasion, very classy. If I lived in the States I would be very proud of him, for someone still relatively new to the music industry I think he is doing a fantastic job, he's so articulate and well spoken at all his interviews so as people get to know him hopefully they will see this and accept Adam for who he is and learn to appreciate the wonderful talent that he has.

Anonymous said...

Albert Hall is NOT A CHURCH. It's a performance hall. We don't seem to be hearing any "tsk-ing" from anyone about Adam's song lyrics from anyone who was there. Lots of big acts have performed there, some of which I'm sure have used language often used in popular music. No one who was at this show seems to be shocked or offended. If there truly was a "rule" there about lyrics, then he would have been told and he would have abided by it. It was a great show and exposed Adam to lots of new listeners who hopefully will become fans. The band who played for him sure liked him and were impressed.

Now, Adam, go blow the roof off at the G-A-Y show!

Gosh, really don't get all this angst over a couple of swearwords....but then I'm British! Everyones swears sometimes, its just words, sometimes the situation just needs a good swear.
Don't get the problem especially with ass...thought that was an everyday American word. Don't really use it in the UK..unless talking about a donkey, to us its arse!!
