The Kyiv Post has reported that head of the ANTIAIDS Foundation Olena Pinchuk said at a press conference in Kiev on Thursday, "Elton John and rock band Queen will play to support the fight against AIDS, here, on Independence Square." The concert will be free of charge, held on June 30 at 8:00pm and will last until midnight on the stage in the fan zone on the Independence Square. The concert will be broadcast live.

Whoa! Adam, I can feel your pulsation and that high note...I've yet to hear anything like that other than from you! The acoustics of King Albert Hall is magnifique; I can hear this subtle echo and the boom boom boom is mesmerising. The surround effect carries Adam's voice to the pinnacle! You look and sound sooo good Adam! A master on the stage singing, engaging the audience, signalling the band, most of all looking so suave, all at the same time...oooh! :)

Any UK fan who attended this event can you give us a recap of the show mentioning other performances as well?

daydreamin said...

I wonder what was going on with the technical issues?

Anonymous said...

I think Adam nailed it again, giving people the wow experience! I can't comment the band based on these videos (it was ok I think, didn't hear any problems), but what I heard was Adam's powerful voice that was perfect like always :) I can only imagine how it sounded live!

People who have never heard of him need to hear Adam singing and that's it. I read the tweets here earlier from people astonished by his voice (again). Thanks to the person who posted them.

I was wondering what kind of stadium can take 350 000 people - well it's a square :) Good for you Adam with that kind of crowd listening to you!

Our sweet/sexy Adam!!!! Looking and sounding fabulous. Love him.

YO! MAMA! Adam's performance at the RAH was MAGNIFIQUE!! His voice was up front and centre, and the band and bvs were great!!

Anonymous said...

I like that you can hear some lead guitar . . .

Anonymous said...

All dressed up...prim and proper..but added the leopard boots..love it! Sounded great.

I thought Adam and 'the band' did a great job considering they had very little time to work things out. The vocal dynamics were different without the 'vajayjays', in my opinion,....but still very good.

While I'm here:

Please vote for Adam in this poll: (scroll down, left side -- the percentages that pop-up are from last week's poll (Kylie Minogue'S Timebomb)). NCOE results will be revealed next Friday! This is one of Canada's biggest/most popular radio stations!!

Adam looking very stylish and handsome at this performance. Even though there seemed to be some technical sound issues, he gave a great performance. Even without his band and backup singers, Adam's voice seemed to resound throughout the hall and the audience obviously loved him.

Can't wait for the G-A-Y performances. The videos from his last performance there have been my happy place since the Adommy shit really started to get to my nerves and I didn't want to watch the GNT videos anymore.

Anonymous said...

*on my nerves

Anonymous said...

Love these performances. Adam's voice is what it's all about - not the band and the backing vocals (which I thought were great) - and he well and truly nailed it.

Anonymous said...

Adam astounding again with those vocals, his moves and looking stunning. I think he more then nailed it. Wowowowowo!

Anonymous said...

I haven't watched these videos yet. Pleae tell me he didn't use the F word there, of all places.

Anonymous said...

8:05, xD you're funny. But seriously, the G-A-Y performances from the last UK promo tour are good and a lot more decent than the GNT shows. :)

Anonymous said...

@8:21 but the GNT shows were so much fun:) Who needs decent that's boring!Give me a couple of hip rolls and a few "Velvet Goldmine" moments and I'm set for life. Here's to hoping he'll let it all out on tour across Europe!

Anonymous said...

8:39, I personally think the GNT fan service wasn't sexy, just corny.

MotoMoto said...

Uuummm have you guys watched British shows or visited, I highly highly doubt they would care about swear words. Adele swore her ass of during her concert at RAH and they were some kids and their parents there (check YT videos) and no one batted an eyelid. Americans are so uptight, not everyone is so concerned about being as PC and that is why Adam enjoys being in Europe because it is waaay more liberal and he doesn't have to watch what he says or does as much.

MotoMoto said...

GNT was fun but lets not be like the crays stuck in 2010, we are now in the Trespassing Era and can't wait to see what Adam has up his sleeve for the next tour. Kissing a man on stage is old news...I want to see Adam dancing on stage and enjoying singing HIS songs that he wrote unlike the last tour where he was singing other people's songs and had no emotional attachment to them like he does with this album!!!

Anonymous said...

And by fan service I meant the Adommy.

Anonymous said...

MotoMoto, I just thought the same. Adele swears at any place any time.

Anonymous said...

Just saw an interview with Adele from Brian Williams from his newsmaker's variety type formatted show "30 Rock" and they talked quite a bit about Adele's swearing. Sometimes it just is what it is, good grief, relax. Teach your own kids differently, or how to deal with it, or what your feelings are about it, but equip them with good coping skills to move freely in the world without so many hangups.

Anonymous said...

ADAM looking really toned down.
Am expecting to see him wild at the G A Y Club!

Anonymous said...

Sexy is sexy, even if it's toned down sometimes. No need to feed the perversed fans à la GNT anymore.

Anonymous said...

JAK here....imagine the joy he felt to be on that stage. I puddled up and shed a tear or two.
It's a magnificent place.

My People magazine came and as predicted not a word from husband as he turned the page with Adam's photo and short write up. When I was looking at the magazine I said "Oh look, what a nice photo of Adam"! He gave it a brief glance and said "He looks a lot different"....I replied "He's grown up"!.......I did not add "and so delightfully"! But I was thinking it! ^o^

Anonymous said...

Loved the RAH show, of course, but the G-A-Y gig will be wild! I can hear Kickin' In already. Hope he does Shady, too. Oh, what they hell! I want him to do the whole damn album!

And, yes, the Royal Albert Hall is very historic, etc. etc., but it's not a church. Acts have been there and not been censored at all. Adam did his set, pure and true. No problems.

I love to watch Adam perform and then he throws in some of those sexy dance moves(during Cuckoo). Just notice the smile on his face;he looks so happy having some fun up there. He looked so suave and stylish in that outfit and the boots just kicked it up a notch. I will take any of these videos from any of Adam's performances. There might have been a problem with the sound system and this wasn't Adam's band or singers, but he was amazing and I am sure the crowd loved him.

Anonymous said...

8:39 here :) I promise you that I don't live in 2010 (if I could pick an era it would def. be the 70s;D ). I just don't want to see Adam restraining himself too much. I think he's a shock performer at heart - that's what I love about him(and his amazing voice off course). Shock performers are the ones that become icons(Freddie, Elvis, MJ, Madonna, Bowie etc.) because they stand out musically AND performance wise. I'll support Adam no matter what - but I hope he does what makes HIM happy.

@LN 12:32 a.m.

When a band performs in a stadium, the fans are standinbg on the field not sitting in the numbered seats. Look up videos of Freddie Mercury at Wembley Stadium...he's on the stage and there is a sea of fans standing on the field watching. Wembley could hold possibly 350,000 more or less.

Anonymous said...

@JAK- your not alone, my husband would not even glance at adam either. 3 years of my obession, he's had enough lol- I'm not allowed to mention him anymore lol. Thank -god for this place. Oh, totally his loss BTW

@Anon 12:21 PM

Yes I am aware that people are standing in stadium concerts. And seen shots of seas of people... But still difficult to imagine the crowd of 350 000. Personally I prefer smaller concerts, they are more intimate. But what a great opportunity/experience to Adam! I know he can fill any stage :)

Adeles recent performance at RAH had her saying "I cant believe I'm at F***ing RAH". And I cant believe the comments over the use of a couple words - it's embarrassing that the USA is so uptight over such umimportant issues. . . . Adamluv

glitzylady said...

For sure: Adele is so funny and yes, she said the f-word a few times..as several have said. I loved her recent special. She's another singer who is talented and down to earth, like Adam. And they both use ***that*** word on occasion. London is not the US. Anyone who has spent any time there will tell you that things are a little different there.. You hear words on TV there that you don't hear in the US. Trust me. (Been there....) The only comments I heard from those who went to the concert, when they were talking about people that they were sitting by, and who didn't know who Adam is exactly. Their comments were not "Oh my, just listen to that language!!!" Instead, they were googling him on their phones, saying OMG! Who IS Adam Lambert??!! He's amazing!!" Indeed....

I've always said that I like my Adam down and dirty. But I know he has to pick and choose his level of "down and dirty-ness" according to the venue. I love him any way I can get him.

My husband likes Adam and "gets it." I don't smother my hubbie with Adam stuff but I do tell him when something especially interesting happens. Je never scoffs or makes fun of me. Sometimes he even asks me what's going on with Adam. He has his own passions and hobbies, too, so we share a lot. He "gets" what a passion is.

anon@11:54am..I understand what you are saying...remember how Adam played them on AI..(people he hung out with in clubs hardly recognize him)now he playing again and it's OK if it gets him what he wants. . but we know Adam. Hope to see it all out too when he starts to tour.
He's here "For Your Entertainment"

Anonymous said...

What is wrong with Adam changing? Sometimes you have to give in a little to get what you want. I don't think he has surrendered who he is deep down inside. We all saw what happened when he had a little too much to drink in Finland with Sauli and the negative publicity it gained for him. Not good. And the people he hung out with in clubs are not in the same place he is now trying to build a career in music that has longevity both here and internationally. He has experienced a lot in the last several years since AI and I don't think he played them on the show. He didn't come out wearing a sign saying "I am GAY" and frankly, as I watched each week, that never crossed my mind. I just loved his voice, his stage presence and personality. He was in a league of his own and just was so much better than any other contestant on the show even though he did not win. Since then, Adam said he has matured and at 30 and in love, he seems to be more settled and confident in his personal life and career. I am sure we will see Adam having some fun during his Trespassing tour whenever he puts that together. He looks and sounds better than ever; nobody can deny that.

Anonymous said...

I find the fans who don't approve Sauli, because he's not anglo-american, the most narrow minded people in this fandom.

Anonymous said...

He played them (AI) has nothing to do with "being gay"
Adam used these words in an interview saying he would give them what they wanted and then he would throw some "Adam" in...get it!

Anonymous said...

Adam getting drunk..please...rock stars have done alot worst...Bruno Mars got caught with coke...people just have a hard on for Adam I really believe they are jealous.

theyre jeaous indeed;bec, adam is unique and famous and has a gift-his golden-heavenly voice.love hi very much.

@DRG - sounds like you and your hubby have a great deal of respect for each other. Sometimes when I hear women saying that their husbands roll their eyes when they speak of Adam, I wonder if they roll their eyes when their hubby talks about sports or a sports figure or something they find boring? I bet not. Respect is a 2 way street. . . . Adamluv

I haven't seen one comment on twitter or article in the press that mentions that Adam said fuck (there I said it out loud!!), only comments about his great singing,it really is not an issue these days, especially in the UK. Its just a word.

I like what you say about "Respect is a 2 way street..." With due respect, may I add: Respect is a multi-way street. :)

FYI ... the "F" word with multiple meanings & examples is in the dictionary ... look it up ... it is a vulgarity & NOT sinful ... it's just a word ... if you don't like it then don't use it. I can think of a lot more OFFENSIVE words that are used everyday without batting an eye.

@4:35 there's nothing wrong with Adam changing - I just noticed a lot of comments on how people are happy Adam isn't so "out there" anymore - how it's nice to see a DECENT performance for once etc. I simply disagree that's all. I like the discussions Adams style and stage antics create. The only way to make people open up to diversity is to confront them with it - I'm not talking about the gay thing - that's a hurdle we jumped a long time ago in the Nordic countries. I'm talking about trusting in yourself and not caring if people agree with YOUR choices. A performer shouldn't have to think about being decent or not. True art is expressing yourself without inhibitions - letting it loose and letting everyone around you deal with the repercussions.

Anonymous said...

That being said.... There is off course a thing called respect and I think Adam did the right thing for THIS venue but I hope to see him more "in your face" on tour. THAT's the Adam I love:)

Anonymous said...

@5:12 I agree if that is the case but I don't think people disapprove of Sauli because he's not anglo-american. I think it's because he was on "Big Brother" and people won't shut up about him! In especially European countries contestants on BB are labelled as attention whores who will do anything for fame so the critique prob. comes from him participating in a reality show where no special set of skills(except looking cute) is required. People on most reality shows become famous because people "love to hate them" or "hate to love them" and they accept that.
Honestly I've only been attacked by people who love Sauli despite this being the first time I've ever mentioned him. I've been attacked for liking Tommys guitar playing over Kevins because apparently I'm an Adommy lover???? But not once have I criticized anyone for gushing about Saulis eye color for 2 pages worth of comments)untill now)! I could care less about Adams dating history - I respect Adams personal life and that means I don't want to see him shopping, walking to his car with his BF or anything else mundane. Professional interviews(with or about Adam?) - yes please! Concerts? Hell yes! Anything else - no thanks! I don't dislike Sauli(I think he's good for Adam) - but I have a hard time with a lot of his hardcore fans because they come here to talk about Sauli instead of going to Saulis fanpage - this page is for ADAM!

Did I miss something...who's talking about Saul?

@ Adamluv

Sorry to admit I do much more eye rolling than my spouse does. He only rolls his eyes when I talk about Adam, I roll my eyes when he watches World's Dumbest Criminals, Arresting Speeders, and about 12 TV shows that are what I call Body Part Shows. Severed limbs, maggots, forensics, pathologists, etc. Sports I don't mind a bit.

I respect everything about him but his choice of TV programs. That's why we have 4 TV's in a house with 2 people. To escape. It works for us, has for 26 years.
