YES !....JAK here.....The Japanese seem to really admire Adam.....
he appears to be extremely popular
in their country....can a foreigner be elected, appointed or crowned Emperor? :)

Anonymous said...

@JAK Isn't it Chinise magazine?Probably, I didin't understand something!

JAK here.....Yes, it is....I plead senility, plus the fact all I really saw was the photo and, well, you understand....when you see Adam, that's ALL you see! :)

Asian countries LOVE Adam and many other countries LOVE him as well. <3

OT.....in case anyone has been missing Glenn Beck...don't despair...He's back! He has announced his intention to destroy the TV show Glee! His attack begins this summer. Well, at least he's busy saving the world again!

I'd crown him Emperor of any country he wanted! He already rules my heart! <3 <3 I know, really corny!

Yes, once again the rest of the world gets Adam and gives him his proper due. I keep wondering how that fact will play out down the road. BTW,Glenn Beck is an ass IMO.

@ DRG.........JAK here

Let me second that opinion.

Now a question...I haven't seen many or any comments on what y'all think of the Japanese bonus track By The Rules. Has it been discussed and I missed the thread? I just heard it and listened a couple times...very unusual beat. I LIKE IT! It's sort of a bossa nova reggae...it had me "happy dancing" if you can picture that! On second thought, don't try to picture that...just take my word "it's groovy". My advanced years give me permission to still use the word groovy!

So..anybody..what do you think of the song?

Anonymous said...

@JAK Be honest, I wasn't very impressed. I found this song boring.

@JAK

There was a thread about By The Rules. Anyway, it reminds me of Madonna's La Isla Bonita which was a hit in 1988, I think.

It has the island reggae beat to it. It's a good song but definitely does not belong to Trespassing collection.

Yea, Emperor DangDang!! I commented before this nickname really suits Adam because his things are dangling all over the place! Hair, accessories and...so on, lol! It's a matter of time as I see it; one way is to sing an Adam crafted Chinese pop song and what do you get...walah, a million or more sold on day of release, you bet! lol! :)

I liked "By the Rules." Mellow-yellow Caribe beat, its sensual rocking does indeed fit in with some of the more romance-tinged songs on Trespassing. And please, please, no more commentary on or about politics. We lurk her to get away from it ... and them. Thanx.

I love "By The Rules" & so looking forward to receiving my UK version of "Trespassing". "By The Rules" is one of the bonus tracks.

@ Everybody......JAK here

I guess it's the reggae that gets me, I've spent a lot of time in the Caribbean and back when I could dance with ease spent a lot of nights dancing till the star filled night faded to a lavendar dawn. Yep, that's the "sensual rocking" beat I remember.

I wouldn't recognize the similarity to a Madonna song. The last time I listened to her she was singing "Like a
Virgin"!........... :)

JAK here...again
Really curious to hear the other UK bonus song MAP. What a strange name! I've been hunting but haven't been able to find it leaked anywhere...

Sorry.....forgot to thank y'all for your responses to my By the Rules question.....JAK

This date stamp may say June 16 9:24 P.M. but for me it's June 17 12:24 A.M. ...Good Night

We could all be like Glenn Beck and reinvent ourselves in whole new way to become one of the most obnoxious beings on this planet and watch the big bucks roll
In. Or you could be someone like Adam Lambert and be true to yourself and work you ass off for what you have.

@ Lammy

About that ADAM crafted Chinese song, that's a good idea. Though AI is seen in Hong Kong, not a lot of Chinese, watch it because they stay tune to their Chinese channel programming.

Maybe ADAM can have a collaboration with that famous Chinese singer Cheung so he also gets known to those who are not aware of him because they don't watch AI.

I heard that this Cheung had about 60 nights of continuous concerts raking in $1million a night, every night. And his audience come from all the way from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and even Japan to see him in concert in HK. And these are more or less those who have not heard of ADAM.

@JAK

You don't recognize the similarity to a Madonna song because you have not listened to La Isla Bonita. But if you do, you will know it has the same beat.

I'm one of those who do not watch Glee anymore since I don't like and got tired of Ryan Murphy's storyline.

I hated the storyline from the very start but stayed tune because I love to listen to the singing especially of the old songs familiar to me.

But I just abhor the script that Matthew Morrison's wife faking a pregnancy and planning Dianna Argon's baby (who was also pregnant) to be her own. Such a despicable plot for a show like Glee. It is insulting my logical mind.

Now altogether, I just stopped watching. Besides, i don't know most of the songs they sing just before I gave up.

Now, I'm curious about Glenn Beck's Glee. if the singing is good, I might like it because it would be watchable for the youngsters with its conservative storyline of course, not all about all kinds of sex orientation scenes.

$$$1 million a night! Whoa! Maybe Adam or his management can look into this marvellous hook-up you mentioned. At this stage, Adam needs big money to further fund his art. Adam is so creative, innovative; with more funds the sky is the limit for him to touch.

Where in the world did that full length pic of Adam come from ??? SEXY SEXY

Anonymous said...

I think that Adam is looking better than ever. That top picture...it is amazing. I like this new look for Adam...less makeup, the new hairstyle, the jackets and his special boots. He is just so stylish, more mature overall. I guess living a healthier lifestyle by juicing and going to Whole Foods have done that for him. Yes, the rest of the world does seem to get Adam Lambert, moreso than in his own country at times.

Who do you think watched AI if not the Chinese???
A big percentage of HK households now have broadband and satelite tv.

@HK fan

I've talked to a lot of Chinese from Hong Kong about ADAM and they have not heard of him. I asked why because I assumed they would know him for AI is shown in Hong Kong and repeated 3x a day.
I know, I watched ADAM 3x a day during Season 8 and I thought majority of the population do. But I guess, most of the expats do and some segment of the Chinese population who speak English.

As I've said majority of the Chinese in HK just tune in to the their own Chinese programming. And that they have their own Idol version in Chinese singing.
I was actually shocked when I found this out during Season 8 when I would talked about ADAM to some Chinese I know.

@Lammy

About that singer Cheung from Hong Kong, I forgot to say that his more than 60 nights 3 hour continuous concerts in HK, the gross was more than HK$50Million a night and so he was raking in more than HK$1Million a night net for himself. That's how big that singer is. The exchange rate is HK$7.8 to US$1.

BTW, he also was a winner of a singing contest more than 20 years ago. He is more or less in his late 40's.

Thank you for the info.
1 million HK = 163 thousand Sing dollars. In that case Adam probably is worth a lot more for 1 performance, net earning for himself, from my currency point of view; it's the duration as in 60 nights that is quite attractive. Regarding this Cheung singer, I might have heard him; sounds familiar. He might even have come to Singapore. :)

At Adams concert in HK, at least 95% of the audience (maybe more) where chinese, and young chinese at that, I assume the majority of them knew him from Idol.

HI JAK -

I absolutely love By The Rules. It got my toes tapping during the intro and throughout the entire song.
