JAK here...though he's always yummy, bright colors do look good on him...a fun outfit!

OT...while wandering this a.m.I clicked on Popular Posts...(Sauli Koskinen returns to L.A.) A walk down Memory Lane. Thread is from March 2011......as scattered as most of our current ones, but for those who were around then, you notice how many regulars we no longer hear from...or at least rarely hear from. If they still follow I wish they'd let us know.
Somehow it seems we were a little nicer to each other a year ago!

I also noticed I talked a lot more!

@ P.A.S.........JAK here

Are you feeling well enough to send us a HI! Hope so!<3

Anonymous said...

im adam lambert fan for life since AI

JAK, Interesting to go back in time a little, isn't it? I think we do have a nice core group here who are supportive of Adam the vast majority of the time. A few "interlopers" sometimes mix things up, but I guess that's what makes life interesting. It would be fun to hear from some of those long-lost posters. You'e always such a fun and thoughtful contributor to this site. It's people like you who keep things sane!

@JAK "If they still follow I wish they'd let us know. Somehow it seems we were a little nicer to each other a year ago!"

PRS here. (Not sure if I'd be remembered.) I do jump in every once in a while. I did get tired of the negativity and nastiness that seemed to be happening with greater frequency. I still am an avid Adam fan. In fact I'm going to 2 California concerts in July.

Will try to be a better participant in the future.

Just realized I haven't been to Adam's public facebook for about two years now. I mean i've completely forgotten it exists. I used to go there to look at the pics people posted there, but then the Gaga Glamberts, who think everyone must like Gaga, took over the place. I remember the picture of Gaga showing the middle finger, that was supposed to be a message to some Adam's fans, and I left for good. I think Adam said once he has no control over his public fb.

I also look at old posts once in a while and I must say the Sauli ones are the most amusing especially when you read all the haters who were predicting the early demise of their relationship and how it couldn't possibly last and how Adam needs to concentrate on making his album and how he has no time for a love life blah blah blah...well 1.5 years later they are still going strong and Adam is looking better than he ever has so take that haters!!

I use to post here anonymously for quite a some time before I opened gmail so decided to open an account. But you are right there are quite a no. Of pple who were regular posters that have gone awol not just on this site but others like IDF.

Anonymous said...

Adam and that Paul didn't seem very comfortable with each other there on the coach. Funny video however! LOL!

Anonymous said...

I hated when some Glamberts wanted Adam to only work on his album and no play. It's like they think Adam is their slave. I hope he gets money from the Queen concerts, so he can have some vacay, he deserves that.

Anonymous said...

I used to really enjoy hearing from the cat, what was it's name icon I think ...those posts were so funny often made my day...Renee

Found some pics of Adam from the G-A-Y concert. That pour guy with the "kiss here and now" sign. I don't think he got one, even though he was pretty cute.....http://www.chrisjepson.com/2012/06/adam-lambert-live-in-london/

Anonymous said...

I think the small individual gigs in the US benefit more his band than his own career at the moment. They are not being advertised and only Glamberts know about them.

Anonymous said...

*only Glamberts know about the gigs, because it's not an official tour

Something to forward to your friends who may not have bought Trespassing yet. Digital download of Trespassing for just $5.00!

Great news! Adam's new album, Trespassing, will be featured as Amazon's album of the week from 6/12-6/18 for only $5.00. Don't miss out on this great deal! MP3 download. http://myplay.me/rpe

I used to post much more in the earlier days of this site. I also had to take some breaks when the obvious nastiness was becoming too much and the Tommy unrealities and Sauli bashing became ridiculous. There is a distinct difference between differing opinions of likes and dislikes of music, fashion and other non-earthshaking events, which I welcome and gives me a different point of view, but there have been disrepectful, hurtful comments and obvious button pushing ones that at times created ill will and a war zone that took away the ambience and caring that represents the majority here. I like seeing the familiar tags and seeing new ones. I also felt enriched by the many worldwide fans and male perspectives. It's a place where we can be silly over Adam and share our excitement and act like flailing idiots when in real life we might get a lot of eyerolls from those that don't get our fascination and admiration of Adam. We've lost some very caring, entertaining people that are missed. I hope they will return or check back from time to time. I try to read all of the comments and often will read them and respond when time has passed. I like the fun loving banter, great links and thoughtful discussions. Most of all I like the many people I've come to care for on this site.

@funbunn40......JAK here....

I've been on a hunt and so far found one of our 2011 flights of fancy. You, Sister and I wrote a James Bond type story about Adam, Sasha and harem girls.....Bolero was the soundtrack....remember?

If you would like to read our silly story use this link, worked for me, hope it'll work for you and any others who might like to check it out.

Adam is losing to Demi Lovato?!?!?
Thanks!

Brilliant idea from Adam to gift the first single from Trespassing album. It would be interesting to know how many download it and do they like it. I like Better Than I Know Myself, I hear it on the radio where I live, and I hope Adam will sing it live someday (not acoustic).

I would assume that many fans who used to be on fansites but who are no longer, have moved to other media, such as Twitter, Facebook, etc. This topic came up a while back on AO. Many of those who no longer post on Adam Official regularly are very active fans in other ways. They just don't post as much on the fan sites. Technology as shifted in the few short years since AI. Fandoms take on new forms. All I know is that if you do not follow a celebrity closely on some form of electronic or digital media, you will NOT hear much about them except the bare minimum, even Bieber and Gaga. TV isn't the place for lots of celebrity news anymore, unless it's some scandal news. Real fandoms exist on fansites, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

My neightbor is one of those who LOVED Adam on AI, but didn't follow him afterward. When I talk to her occasionally about Adam, she pretty much thinks he's fallen off the face of the earth and is surprised at how successful and busy he is. Traditional TV doesn't give specific info on many performers at all, even the biggest ones. If you aren't an avid follower of Gaga, you wouldn't know when her tours are or what she's doing from day to day. Same with someone like Adele. And these are the biggest names out there. Adam has lots of devoted, active fans who cross over from one media to another. Look at the great responses to polls that Adam is in. He does quite well, actually. People leave for different reasons, but often they are still good fans.

Hi Everone, I am still here. Havent posted much lately but still come everyday in case I miss something.
Yes a lot of the old regulars are missing. I sometimes wonder if they are posting as Anonymous, to avoid negative and catty remarks?

Some of those stories and poems from way back were excellent nad entertaining during quiet times, great to focus on something positive.

So cool to see "Adam Lambert: Trespassing" on the Billboard list on last page of latest Rolling Stone. RS only comes out every other week so the week it was number one, there was no issue so we missed that pleasure. It is now number 12.

Just my opinion but I have to remind myself that the music industry is SO HUGE right now. Many stars are doing well but very few are "super screamers" like Bieber, Gaga and Adele. I think our Adamazing has a solid fan base, talent that is still unfolding, as much exposure as can be mustered. He seems a lot happier and more satisfied that we do!!

I don't think anyone means to drop off the blogger list. I, for one, get ridiculously busy and seem to lose touch with a lot of things that give me pleasure. " ...Well, I'm not broken but I need a (Adam) Fix'!!!!

Planet Fierce checking in. I am lurking most of the time. I don't post much because I won't get into the gutter with the haters and I get my opinions validated with the die hard fans (regulars) who are on all the time. I post if I have something interesting to add. But I love reading what everyone else has to say, and I appreciate SO much all the time and effort that goes into maintaining my favorites sites (of which this is one).

Anonymous said...

JAK, see what you started? I'm an Adam fan from day one as well as a fan of this site and others. I do read this site daily and, too, miss some of the original posters but love the talent and insight of some of you who write almost daily.

Looking forward to those Queen videos which will have to suffice (I know they will) until I can see Adam "live" again.

JAK, I also have been an Adam fan since he first appeared on Idol and found this website early on, I check in every day to keep up on everything happening in his career and read the comments also. My other source for info, videos and print/web links is Twitter. What I might find first there, soon shows up on 24/7. Thanks to everyone who maintains this website and supports Adam Lambert! He is a true treasure!

@JAK
I'm hearing you... there are so many of the 'old faces' that have been missing for months. This site just hasn't been the same warm site it used to be. It used to be the first place I checked in the mornings, now it isn't. I go on another site everyday, which is so friendly and warm, and a place where people can say if they don't like something without it turning into a hate thread....AND NO TROLLS. Some of you would love it there, but I don't feel comfortable putting the name on here. However I am on the fan site (as HK fan)if anyone would like the link to join us.
I still come here at least every other day to catch up on threads but don't always post.
I would really love this site to go back to the place it was a year ago.
And if there are of the old regulars out there lurking, come out and play sometimes. And for all the anons posting, be brave and give yourself a tag, It really does help to feel part of things, and included in conversations, and makes every thing run smoother on here.

Would just like to add that

ADAMS NCOE VIDEO WAS PLAYED ON MTVASIA mtv hits this morning, right between Goyte and JB's Boyfriend....he looked great up there on my TV.

Anonymous said...

@JAK- I also check in everyday sometimes use my tag, sometimes not. I come here first, then twitter, than google- twitter gives alot of URLs for info that's not posted here. Yes, us that really get adam will always be a fan. I personally have never been offended by stuff here,I just skip over it and say to myself- troll- next! For the most part we are die-hard fans and I do miss a few- kentucky fan, fan-4fun,oh my minds not working, but so many more, but on the bright side we've gained new ones. I wonder if some had to slow down because of thier other halfs not getting it (like mine) just a thought?

If you read any horrible comments on other websites by brownie2- it's not me.

@JAK

Some of my best times here have been because of U. The stories, the poems, particularly the semi-naughty ones U wrote. I saved them! Does this sound familiar?

It was a really hot day in NYC. July 16 2011. Adam was walking dwn the street, cell phone to his ear, sunglasses, arm raised to wipe off sweaty forehead and tee shirt rode up a couple inches and pants were riding low and there it was! His tummy! What a fantastic picture, I think I dreamed aboutit.

U wrote

Now you've done it Adam
Showed an inch of tummy
You know how you affect us
We all think you're yummy.
Women all up and down this thread
Are going into spasms,
If there had been another inch
OMG...POW!....Adam-gasms!

I loved that one. I used to post frequently as Nancy, then I faded away during a divorce, but I have been back awhile as NS.
More Poems!

Hah...loved that poem about Adam's tummy! I stared at that pic, well, that tummy, for forever lol!

I luv this blog 'cause I feel at home among the "glamily"! Most of my friends think I'm nuts and talk about Adam, well, 24/7! But here, it's ok to be a "crazed Glambert"! We all "get it", in our love for this special, amazing, sexay man, with the best voice on the planet!

LOL, I think I'm always the last to post comments 'cause I work all day, and don't get to this til late at nite! I love all your comments (minus trolls), and hope this continues 'cause it's only the beginning!!

AdamLuvr in Texas :)

daydreamin said...

Aww, so many of the ol' Glamily coming back for a visit! It's good hearing from everyone! NG, I'm so sorry about your divorce (hope it wasn't Adam related!) but glad you shared. Brownie, I have to come on here late usually because I work during the day, come home and rest a little before starting dinner, then spending time with family then it's Adam time usually till quite late. But I'm off for the summer, so am here during the day more now. Too much complaining unless I wait till later the rest of the year!

Thanks JAK for bringing back the others!

coloforadam @4:17, I'm a casual fan of Adam's, and I agree, there is only the handful of artists that seemed to be played endlessly n the radio. Who knows, Adam may never get to GaGa like status. But I say, who cares? He has such a remarkable talent that jI think he will always fans that will pay to see him. And another plus is smaller venues. They are more intimate, and he seems to be able to talk to and interact with the audience. And that seems to be a must for Glamberts!

Anonymous said...

WOW! WOW! WOW!.....JAK here

What a great response, so nice to hear from y'all again! Reading this thread this morning was like a mini reunion. Glad to know you're checking in, do speak up on occasion. Nancy (NS) loved re-living that hot day in NYC photo of Adam, it's burned into my brain!
You kept my poems? How neat.....I bet they sound pretty silly, but then that's my usual intent....a laugh or giggle. Do you have my "RAPS"? That career sort of fizzled, I think I only wrote a couple.

Anyway, hello to everyone, none of you were forgotten, just missed.

@ Renee.....Yes,
Icon is Fan4fun's Portuguese-English speaking cat who lives with his "MOM" in the Azores. We don't hear much of his adventures lately cause Fan4fun has been in and out of hospital having several serious surgeries and can only rarely pop in with a word or two. Icon is almost speechless without her assistance.
But soon, I hope she'll be back and we will hear from both of them.

I wish you all a Happy Flag Day (bet you forgot that!) It's a momentuous (sp?) day for me.....restoration begins on all the damage done when all my plumbing had to be replaced recently....well, not my personal plumbing...my house's! Today is Wallpaper Man Day, I don't suppose he'd appreciate me greeting him with a big hug! I'll control myself! :)))))

I log into 24/7 several times a day/night but I don't always post/don't post a lot. I love and need to keep up-to-date with everything Adam and this is the 1st site I visit every day. :)

Hi AG/neighbor

@JAK
Sorry to hear Fan4fun isn't well..:I check in everyday but things have been a little crazy here in good old Joplin this year ....I must have missed that info...I hope she is better very soon...I used to read my dog Grizzly posts from icon...lol every time I said the word cat he would whine...Renee

Anonymous said...

@ Renee

You have a dog named Grizzly who whines at the mention of the word "cat"? Hmmmmmm, I'm assuming this is a male dog.......^o^......
(soft whisper) "has he had a proceedure?" :)))))))))

Anonymous said...

Hi MGF, nice to "hear" from you.

And JAK, I didn't forget. I'm wearing my flag pin today and reminded the people here at work of this day. (Oh, this younger generation.)

Happy Flag Day everyone!

Grizzly is a Jack Russrl he is very very smart....we live in the country and there seems to be a lot of stray cats....Grizzly is not allowed to chase cats or bark at them...when he does he gets scolded by his dad a fate worse than death...so when u say cathe just whines....I guess I'm kinda mean cuz I'd ask him Grizz do u want to hear a story written by a talking cat....mostly he didn't ...Renee

OK, JAK, you have inspired me to check in with some of the regulars. Like many of them, I check this site every day but do not always post. I always focus on the positivity and ignore the trolls. 24/7 will always be my "go-to" site for Adam. When the site went down temporarily, I felt like I'd been severed from my family (Glamily)! I recently got out of the hospital for cancer surgery (doing very well and cancer is gone, Thank God!!). During my stay, I brought my autographed Adam pillow (from the Upper Darby concert) to comfort me, and wouldn't you know it, several of the nurses were Glamberts! I shared GNT memories with one of them who attended the Atlantic City concert with her mom. I was so close to him that night, 5th row! Anyway, these three years have been incompably glorious as I follow the career of this extraordinary young man. What he has brought to my life can never be put into words. I hope all the joys he has brought to everyone he's touched in his life are returned to him tenfold. Love him and love all the fans who frequent this site.

@ Aquarian Glitz........JAK here

That is a tag I haven't seen in quite awhile. Greetings and good healthy days ahead. I too had a hospital Close Encounter of the Glambert Kind. Went to E.R. in middle of night and while nurse was putting in IV and setting me up with B.P. cuff, she moved my purse and saw the Adam Peace Pendant...I use it as a zipper pull. We immediately bonded and talked about our favorite "hobby".
It's always a thrill to find a fellow Glambert. When cuff was ready she said "Okay, now get nice and calm" and she pulled the curtain and left me alone to come down from my "high".

B.P was okay, but the "high" has been hanging around since Idol Season 8! :))
