I can't stand the suspense! I will watch Idol if Adam is a judge and only if he is a judge. Otherwise for me it is just another boring singing show which hasn't bee fun to watch since Season 8. Hey Fox/idol people all those who say they don't want Adam are blowing smoke--they will be the first to tune in!!!

Please please let this become true. Adam would be a perfect judge and the timing is right to help get his album and future singles up the charts. I can not believe that after 3 years of bashing idol you guys would want Adam on this show. Give me a break! And quit being so desperate for him to "make' it. What he really needs to do is release a great song. I love him, but his musical tastes and choices have been 'off' since idol.

Like it or not, Adam needs this. We keep saying he needs to be on network TV shows that lots of people watch, talk shows, etc. Well, this will open the door to all that. Then, people WILL see the adorable and smart Adam that we see. He'll be on shows where people will actually talk to him. Non-fans will see him more realistically. In a perfect world, he wouldn't need it, and I wouldn't want him on it. But he DOES need it, so let's hope it happens. If it does, get ready, because the lovers and haters will be out in full force flailing at each other. Sparks will fly. I just hope it happens for Adam's sake. He wants it.

I'm not keen on AI BUT it is huge exposure- I was talking to some folks at work today about the Queen shows and they sort of remembered Adam but weren't sure. The show seems to support anyone selling anything (JLo, Steven Tyler, and now M Carey). sigh, some will love it others will not but the net gain may very well be worth it, esp if people get to see his personality and charm each week, plus he gets to perform new singles.

@DRG You are absolutely correct,dear! Adam needs more appearance and it'll bring him more fans and media attention. And our Diamond Boy still needs few$$$$$$ for the tour;)

If this is what Adam wants that is what I want;however life will go on if he does't get this gig! He has the talent,the voice,and the personality to do many differant gigs in the future. He is not going away;he is a hard worker and has to much to offer believe me. He is a global star. My biggest concern is when will he have time for a tour..that I would like to see more than anyting!

"Deadline is reporting that American Idol is eyeing country superstar, Brad Paisley, for a seat at the judges table.

Putting a country star on the panel would be a great idea. With Mariah Carey representing R&B and pop, having a representative from an extremely popular American genre like country makes total sense.

Besides, Brad is totally BFFs with one of Idol’s most successful graduates, Carrie Underwood. They recorded the 2011 hit country duet “Remind Me” and co-host the CMA awards every November.

Soo exited hope its true . After the auditions , there would probably be time for him to write and record some new songs and possibly get a new album out by the time the season ends. new album? Adam is not going to write a new album before the next AI season ends. he has said many times he is just in the beginning of promoting TP. Albums take a ton of money to make and promote - TP ship has just sailed.

This "is he" "isn't he" going to be a judge on Idol this year is driving me CUCKOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Soooo wanting this for Adam because that's what he wants.

Yay! Adam's coming to my city, San Antonio! I've been trying to win M&G passes, but no luck! Wed is my last chance! But at least he's coming! SA Glamberts are going "cuckoo"!

Truthfully, I'm personally just waiting for the TOUR! and another single to come from TRESPASSING! He sure would add a kick to IDOL though.I would love to see him wear a lot of different outfits and change up his hair more. I'm still missing all his previous hairstyles.He's AMAZING no matter what!

It is a good PR move for Adam because he already has the Idol contestant tag (which is only bashed by people who are being jealous snobs, imo). He may as well have the prestige of being a judge then and make money while he is at it.

I won't believe a word of any of these rumors unless and until I hear the truth directly from Adam. He said he would jump at the chance to be an Idol judge, but that doesn't mean that the powers that be will offer it to him. Personally, I would love to see him on Idol since he has been there and knows exactly what needs to be done and would provide constructive criticism. All this talk of the millions Mariah is getting is ridiculous. The show should be about the contestants and helping them begin their careers in music. Let's hope this "diva" doesn't drive everyone cuckoo with her demands and behavior.

I think this is a huge mistake if he actually ends up as a judge. What does it say about his music career??? That he couldn't make it, so he returned to Idol in hopes of reviving something? This is just sad.

If Adam returns to Idol as a judge, it does not mean that he didn't make it in his music career. It means that the big honchos at Idol realized what a great judge he would be on the panel, since he has been there as a contestant and as a mentor. He knows the music scene and is very relevant as to the ins and outs of beginning a career on this show. There would be more positive aspects to Adam being one of the new judges rather than negative. And, of course, it should boost his visibility and his career. What is wrong with that? It's helped all the judges on The Voice, hasn't it. If he doesn't get the job on Idol, I am sure there are other shows like PLL that would want him for a guest appearance and not necessarily as himself but as a character in that episode. I have already said I would love to see him on SMASH...it is the perfect show for Adam. All we can do is wait because everything we have read so far seems to be a rumor and nothing more at this time.

Right, just a rumor, fodder for entertainment news shows and you know how often rumors prove to be true. Perhaps with luck lightning will strike. If not, we'll go on wishing and hoping for a miracle.
