OT I love how I am seeing some spurts of sales for Trespassing. It got a 38% bump this afternoon on Amazon and is #86 on itunes top 100 pop albums.I would love to see it re enter billboard top 200 albums. Maybe with the next single hopefully getting airplay,Cuckoo anyone? These amazing kids sure are loving it!You just can't help dancing to it.

Band Presented With Special Disc To Celebrate Phenomenal Success

One Direction have notched up an incredible 12 million sales worldwide in less than a year including 8 million singles, 3 million albums and a million dvds. To celebrate this amazing success the band were presented with a special disc last night by Syco and Sony Music in the UK.

One Direction’s debut album Up All Night has sold over 3 million copies worldwide and has hit No.1 in 16 different countries, including the US where they became the first ever UK band to debut at No.1 on the US +Billboard chart. The album is currently the top selling debut album of 2012 in the US.

In the US, Up All Night has been certified platinum with over 1 million sales, whilst “What Makes You Beautiful” has sold over 3 million copies in the US and 5 million worldwide. Their live DVD is also 3 x platinum in the US. In the UK, Up All Night is at double platinum status, whilst their DVD is the biggest selling music DVD of the year.

The cute little boy bands come and go. We got Adam as a grown-up. He is for grown-ups. His music is for more mature teens and older. He writes and sings sophisticated music, a little left of center in the pop world. I LOVE IT! Adam has the respect of so many in the business. I, too, think he'll have longevity long after the boy bands are too old for teens and tweens and aren't quite so cute anymore. Good for One Direction. They are having their day in the sun.

Good to hear about these upward blips in Adam's music sales. He's chugging along fine, if you ask me. This should be an interesting autumn. We'll see what he has up his sleeve after the Japan gigs.

Adams career will stay longer in the future because he is an artist with lots to offer. He is a talented and not forgettable. He made history especially in his own country and he is a world wide superstar no matter what comes at the table, people will still be interested of the name Adam Lambert.

We don't have to worry much, Adam has the whole package to share:)))

Maybe when he comes back from vacation he will give us new information about the new single:)

agree, adam is popular worldwide. very recognized for his talent/voice even by those who do not necessarily follow or love pop music. nice to hear about amazon bump! folks seem to forget the album has only been out 8 weeks.

If there is a toss between Cuckoo and Trespassing as the next single, then the latter is a more upbeat, spirited choice. Cuckoo tends to be a little repetitive but with variation at which Adam is extremely efficient, it is still viable. On the other hand, Trespassing has more attitude like telling someone...go fly a kite, if you don't like...lol! See...no need for F word, still kills...lol! Also the conga/bongo drums give an air of fiesta and since Adam may be venturing into South America, they'll love the bass or higher-pitched drums; similarly the eastern countries. But my choice is Kickin In, though not a likely choice. So far, we've had fairly goodie-two-shoes safe songs so what do you say...time to take the plunge! :)

As someone who saw Sauli up close and personal quite recently, I can assure you he looks neither old nor like ANY of Adam's exes...who are all attractive IMO...Sauli is quite gorgeous with or without the facial hair. Trust me....and this picture: WHOA BABY!!!!

I think Jessica Sanchez's voice is gorgeous and so does Adam. It is far more interesting than Phillip Phillips' voice. Yes, she should've won last year's American Idol but people seem to be hung up on talentless WGWGs.

I wish Simon Cowell had never left American Idol. He brought HONESTY to the competition. Well hopefully, Adam will have the opportunity to do likewise.

As far as sales of cds is concerned, Simon Cowell would have done a better job for Adam. He networks with a powerful conglomeration of business associates; like when Adam's FYE album garnered 800,000 sales, Suzan Boyle sold 2 million at around the same time. Simon would have been able to do likewise for Adam had he been under Simon's management. He liked Adam a lot and several times openly urged the viewers to vote for Adam on S8. I think he sensed Adam would meet with resistance much earlier definitely, with his inside knowledge. Yea Simon is a very good judge and never minced words. But if Adam becomes an AI judge, he can't be as curt as Simon because his Trespassing sales do come into play. It's that fine line between giving not so pleasant critiques and being honest, that he has to tread...tactical. :)

Judges labeled as has beens only happened when Tyler and JLo were picked and resurrected their careers.
But other than them, when The Voice started, Duets and now the new picked of Simon for XFactor, I don't think that label still stands.

Britney, Demi, Christina, Cee Lo, Blake, Levine, and Kelly are all at the top and cannot be labelled has beens.

I wouldn't label Steven Tyler as a has been, he has been around a long time putting out hit albums, songs, and before Idol, was still playing sold-out concerts...Aerosmith/Tyler are Rock Legends..

Ok, ok, I guess I didn't word my comment very well. I guess what I was getting at is that these "current" singing stars would never be accused of being has-beens or of wanting the AI job just to help their careers. But something tells me that Adam, also CURRENT, WOULD be accused of these things. I don't know. He just seems to get treated differently than others do who are in the same position. Go figure. Once again, if he would, by some miracle, get the job, I'll be thrilled, but we would have to be ready to fend off lots of negative comments from non-fans. Sometimes you have to have Teflon skin to be a Glambert.

BTW, I live in the Chicago area, and we just had the huge Lollopalooza music festival here on the lakefront. Some big acts. Frank Ocean is getting lots of praise. He just "came out" not long ago. Guess that's not going to hurt HIS career.

@ DRG.....JAK here.....I think the problem many people have with Adam is that while they can accept his orientation they can't accept his open lifestyle and his being a sexy gay guy. Somehow they find that threatening. He has toned down a bit since 2010 but for darn sure he is not planning on living a lie or abandoning long time friends. He has integrity.
