Have just spent the last hour watching the twitter feed about this, lots of excited SA fans....

very happy for SA but I feel sad because I think I really know now Adam won't be a judge on AI. November is a very busy month on AI if you are a judge, and for this gig he would have to take off at least a week.

Great news! Lucky fans there.
Stunnig face! Adams FACE, beautiful!

I especially love the "Adam Lambert Global Superstar" part : ))))) Yay!!!!

I was just thinking this morning that maybe it's time for more of Adam's fandom to start focusing on what Adam Lambert does have instead of what he doesn't (myself included, big time myself included!!) in the way of gigs and opportunities and such.

Yay Adam, Yay Fandom

That's right only Adam and Kelly from AI are global superstars. Next on the agenda should be South America.

I also wish for a Queen and Adam tour in North America!

You go, Adam! Build that international fanbase bigtime! There are so many fans world-wide who love you and appreciate you and SUPPORT you. These concerts should be fantastic. South America loves Adam, too. I'd love to see him do a show in Rio or some other high-profile South American city. He will become and ELITE international musical act. His prestige and cred will grow with these international gigs. Other acts, from AI or not, are not always in demand overseas. ADAM IS!

I don't know about conflicts with AI, but he probably won't be gone more than a week. I don't think we need to worry about that anyway, if you know what I mean.

As for "STUNNING," Adam personifies the word. His picture is in the dictionary right next to the definition. I never get tired of using that word to describe him. Never.

MGF, Great point. We forget sometimes that Adam's glass is way more than half full, not half empty.

Anonymous said...

I so agree, sometimes we forget how well he is doing, he really is a international Superstar. Just because he may not be at the level we want him to be in the U.S, does not mean he is not achieving the success he so deserves throughout the world. That article was very uplifting.

The AI thing is in the past, and he is moving on to bigger and better things.

OMG! This news made my day! So happy for Adam and SA Glamberts!

I, too, noticed the "global superstar" in the aricle. Love it!
Go Adam! A toast to Adam with his more than 1/2 full glass!

Not being negative but I still want that Queenbert concert here in this country and on the northeast coast I might add.

Have to agree with all the glass half full! Yes yes yes! Adam is a star and has been since he set foot on the Idol stage! The music business is in flux these days and many artists would love the constant buzz Adam gets. Just read a newspaper article about how these singing shows not making careers for contestants. Adam i knows the ropes and works very hard. The Dark Side

That's wonderful. They will love him there. So happy for Adam.

What a great way to start the day with stunning pictures of Adam (literally breathtaking) and then the fantastic news of the newly announced SA concerts! This is so wonderful!

Thank you, MGF, for reminding us of the "glass half full" concept because it really helps to do a reality check about all that Adam has accomplished to date and all the opportunities that are unfolding for him, one at a time. He is a GLOBAL SUPERSTAR and I couldn't be prouder of him.

I am selfish though and still hope for a Queenbert concert in North America LOL! Please let it happen Universe :)))

Was curious about the venues in Capetown and Johannesburg to find out capacities and discovered that Lady Gaga had been scheduled at both. I never found out capacities, but I'm assuming they will not be small. This information is evident of how "global superstar" Adam has become, radio static re: Adam notwithstanding. BTW, this must be the start of the Trespassing tour, no? All the hand wringing about a waning schedule was for naught. Sometimes our mooning for more Adam brings us to focus on the "empty" side of the glass. Understandable. atm

I hope that Adam will think about the length of his show in SA. One thing that I've noticed about some performers who have terrific fans is that give their fans their money's worth and spend a lot of time on stage, performing oldies and new songs. These performers never miss the mark. I know that singers can't do that if they perform every other day. But since these are 2 shows, perhaps Adam could give his SA fans a crazy ride of over 2 hours. They have waited for a long time to see him LIVE. Go Adam! (think of your QUEEN shows recently, all over 2 hours in length).

12:05, as this is a Trespassing tour (I think), and there are two albums to support, as well as a couple of covers, Adam will have more than enough to fill two hours. Point well taken, though. Hope he includes Runnin, Map, and By the Rules, Outlaws of Love in the playlist. Covers could include the all popular Whole Lotta Love, Can't Help Falling In Love, The Prayer, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, and so forth.
Heck, let's make it 3 hours, even.
Also, how did it happen that we had no clue of these concerts developing? Just wondering what other tours are in the works that we're not aware of. Hope so...Love and thank you so much, Adam and the Universe.

The wolf ... here it is!! Good luck in SA!

Thanks so much @MGF for bringing enlightenment to this fandom .
We all needed that positivity to really look at the bright side of ADAM's career.
He and only Kelly are global star from Idol and Kelly is already on her 11th year while ADAM is just on his 3rd.
And in that short period of time, he has achieved much what others take many years to accomplish.
Even Lady Gaga and Katy Perry were dropped from their original labels before they found success.
ADAM is phenomenal in every way and that cannot be denied or be ignored.

Oh that unlined forehead...now he IS perfection on wheels.

These SA bookings just seemed to appear out of nowhere. I wonder if this is a result of Shoshanna's dinner meeting last week. There is so much more going on behind the scenes than we could possibly know. Yay #teamadam.

I am sure once the Idol announcements are over we will move on but it's fun to speculate about what wonderful things Adam might get, including Grammy nominations, more Queenbert gigs and Idol judgeships.

If you focus on them after they don't materialize then you are just making yourself unhappy but beforehand, it's all good.

And November IS a quiet month for judges. Only one week of work - Hollywood week.

daydreamin said...

Thanks from me too @MGF for the reminder to keep it positive!

Well said @xyz!

I am still hearing that things are not set it stone for AI. I am keeping my fingers crossed but so ready for the damn announcement already!

@4:05PM You are very funny! I think we don't have any idea what is going in Adam-RCA-promotions-tours business. Except one little detail. RCA has very poor choices for Adam's singles, promotion performances and lack of TV appearances.
However, this planet loves Adam. And RCA still needs to cover new album expences. So, why not? I think they would sign the deal with Iran or Irac if these countries would offer them big money! They have a lot of Adam's fans in these two countries as I heard!

Anonymous said...

I found that capacity of Cape Town Arena is 5,000. Howeve,Coca-Cola Dome is 19,000 seats. Not so bad!

Anonymous said...

I know we all to listen to Adam sing for hours, but I believe that no singer can sing continuously for more than an hour! For 2-hours or 3-hours shows, you need to have more singers. Anyway, less is more because you're left with wanting more, and that's why people go to multiple shows and it's all good for Adam!

Anonymous said...

Adam Lambert is a global superstar and it is a shame that his own country doesn't fully recognize or appreciate his impressive vocal talent and electrifying stage presence. And doesn't he look amazing in this picture...those are gorgeous. Adam has the love and support of so many fans from around the world and he is conquering this planet earth one country at a time. I would love to see him on Idol each week, but does he need to attach himself to a show that seems to be waning in viewer interest esp. if several of the other indivual's named are also part of the judges panel. He pprobably has enough going for him until the end of this year promoting Trespassing and then making plans in the new year for a tour. Things seem to be looking very good for Adam and obviously we don't yet know all that he will be doing in the months to come.

Anonymous said...

I am also still waiting for wonderful AI news for Adam! I believe in the Universe and sometimes good things do happen to good people despite everything! Adam has been cheated out of his IDOL title, and although he does seem to take it well, something must happen to make it up to him!
