Oz is really liking Adam's version of Stay. I think they would really love Underneath too. Nice to see him on the screen over there.

Just read an article about Adam's first ever show in China (Shanghai). It's taking place in Shanghai's biggest arena (18,000 places), the Mercedes Benz Arena. I hope that his team has arranged great, exciting visuals for that crowd and also provided for large screens and incredible sound!

Good on Australia's The Morning Show

YES!!! Part of a Stay clip screened on one of Australia's most popular TV programs.Adam's version is exquisite! I wish it were his song so that he could release it as a single - it's that good!

Notice at the end, the guy just called him a copycat. Didn't sound flattering to me.

@8:04 I don't think they meant it in a derogatory way though... Seemed like they were doing a program talking about talented/popular artists doing covers and were saying that for a bit of humor or lack of other words. And they used it as a transition so it seems like they were referring more to the person after. I mean, they showed a good clip of Adam singing, so looks fine to me. I was a little surprised by it too at first, though.

Is this a real excerpt. The sound doesn't 'sound' right for a morning show.

Tonight, on Smash, J. Hudson closed the show with a song called "Can't Let Go". It was good but it immediately prompted me to go listen to Adam's song on YT titled "Can't Let You Go". Now, his song moves me a lot more than the Smash one.

Very nice Australia! wouldn't it be nice if the U.S. showed this clip since Adam is from the U.S. ,but he gets much more recognition from other countries. Thank goodness he is loved internationally. I know so many of us love him here, just radio and T.V. needs to get on board!

I must say Adam had done some good tv here,Ike the Diva's! But do hope when new single for the new album he getsots of good tv exposture, helps a lot! Must say Adam broke ground with the Diva's show first male ever to host it,he also performed on it more than any other host ever did, he was so good on that and the comedy was very good too! Wish Adam could do more variety stuff like that he perfect for it, but next time singing some of his own new stuff, on the new album horizon! Sue

Adam's an 'adopted Aussie' and has been for a long while now. He has some super devoted fans in the Land Down Under who have a passion beyond words who have promoted him 24/7, even prior to AI.

Yep, keeping the love for Adam burning strong in Oz.

LOL, one Australian show does a story on Adam and somebody thinks that means he gets more recognition in foreign countries. How quickly people forget all the stories about him done in the US.

Thanks everyone for sharing videos. Can never get enough of Adam.

I have to disagree about Australia burning strong for Adam, certainly Adam has fans here on OZ but I really think the majority of Australians still haven't heard of Adam or if they have they only know him as the guy from American Idol. I think it would really benefit Adam to do more promotional touring similar to that of Asia, because I'm sure he could have huge popularity in Australia once people get to know him.

Yes, need to watch all of the Australian clip to put it all in perspective. Whitney's I Will Always Love You always gives me major goosies and the guy who did a cover of it was good.

I agree Adam needs a LOT MORE EXPOSURE in Australia. He received a lot of radio play in Australia with his FYE album but his Trespassing album on release went straight to #10 on the official album chart, then #28 and then disappeared. Very strange when his Trespassing album is SO GOOOOOD!!! His singles off the FYE album did really well, as did the FYE album.

Watch the whole video clip before passing judgment.

Regarding Adam's beautiful rendition of Stay, I may be very ignorant of this, but I thought an artist could put out a record with a cover song. I'm sure RiRi would get paid, but it is possible isn't it. Could someone in the know clue me in. Thanks!

I would never want Adam to do cover songs on his albums. Especially by artists like Rihanna who are less talented than he is.

Adam has such a huge gift of songwriting that he should just continue to push his own music. Stay is a beautiful song but not more beautiful than Underneath imo. The only reason it gets so much attention is because it's Rihanna's song.

@Anon 5:09AM - I agree with you, Adam has great song writing skills and Underneath is better than Stay to me, but I want more mass recognition for Adam and thought producing a record of Stay might give him that. We've got to get Adam on the radio somehow!(sigh)

nancdruuu2, you need a license or permission to record a cover. Royalties would be paid to the publisher/writer(s)/copyright holder of the song. I don't know if Rihanna has writing credit. From articles I've read previously it sounded like they brought in a bunch of writers for her current cd. Adam likely had permission to do the cover live in his concert. In today's online age I don't think Adam needs to record it for him to get attention from covering it.

It said a single is successful when other famous artists do a cover of it and Adam was in the news which a good thing.

Swift butchered Eminem's 8 Mile and Coldplay butchered MJ's Billie Jean.

Adam got a good coverage. Thanks OZ!

Nice that they gave Adam a good chunk of time on that Aussie show. They really zeroed in on him. I don't think the "copycat" commment was a slam on Adam. I think it was more a general reference to anyone to does a cover. I agree that Adam should stay closely connected to fans in OZ and keep performing there whenever he can. Adam MUST get better promotion from his management team on his third album. Good radio play would have gotten him at least two or three big hits from TP. I am praying that the promo for #3 will be much better, esp. in the U.S. I am dying for a tour.

The Shanghai show sounds like it's going to be HUGE!!! Can't wait.

I love the title of the TV segment: "Stars Covering Stars". It wasn't snarky at all, the "copycat" comment, if you listen to the whole expanded clip. And I love that Adam was included with the other Stars....

Adam could give in and date Byron Cooke, that would certainly be known all over Australia!

Only kidding of course! lol

"Sometimes a copycat has a noble course!" Sounds like a compliment to me and Adam's clip was longer than anyone else's, including Rihanna's. Good for OZ! Now Adam needs to record it and make a video, sing it on US tv.etc!

The Shanghai should be huge! Pretty big venue! Btw, I think Underneath was written by someone or two people from Nashville, if I remember Adam's words from a radio interview correctly. Adam also prefers to collaborate and work together with other established writers, bouncing ideas back and forth, rather than writing alone. It seems to work well for him.
