Thanks for this really interesting interview. Now Adam has a new mission...a marriage go-between! lol! Adam's complexion has improved a great deal, the make-up, lighting and editing help a lot I guess. This philosophy of taking control is to surrender oneself, is deep. Many older/wiser people or people in desperation may have attained this without knowing it. It has to come naturally through experience as Adam puts it. I might have experienced it subconsciously and realistically as well. Like when I try to tackle a very difficult situation and still can't solve the problem; at the end of my tether, wits, I just let go / surrender. Strangely something gradually evolves and the problem partially solves itself and opens a new route / direction for me. That's one way of interpreting it. The turning point so to speak...the surrendering which then helps one to gain back control. This is only from one angle of looking at it or experiencing it; there should be many other interpretations. Another way of looking at it is to leave it to God, not only under difficult situations but in our everyday life. A stark example is Jesus surrendered himself totally and we see the control he has to this day. Also reminds me of other great philosophers.

The video of the actual contest to win a place to see Adam, was so touching and well conducted by the djs; the two finalists had to answer questions and quite a lot of suspense. Finally Cara won by a split second on who answers first at the final question. She cried with pearls of tears in her eyes. She personally sewed the Trespassing jacket, making sure the stripes were all in the correct places. The other guy was disappointed but finally the dj announced both would see Adam. lol!

A great interview and Adam seems so comfortable and forthcoming. He's always so in the moment and engaging. He's grown so much in the past three years. He looks so young and cute in the Idol audition tapes and now a handsome, mature man, so socially adept at meeting strangers and making everyone comfortable and relaxed. He's just so darn likable and down to earth. It's so nice to see so many young fans, male and female excited to see and hear him. It has to make him so happy. It makes me very happy! :)

Great interview. I don't think there is anyone in the music business as articulate, smart and introspective as Adam Lambert. You just want to listen to him and what he has to say. I like his confidence and honesty in answering the questions posed to him. He is not afraid to speak his mind and give his opinion on a topic. And doesn't he look terrific? What's not to like about this man? It's no wonder I have been a fan since day one of his appearance on AI.

Another lovely interview with Adam, who is always so honest and so compassionate and so understanding. I can't think of another gay celebrity who actually talks publicly about being gay. I can't think of ONE. He has opened so many minds and hearts. I know we've said this all before, but it IS part of his legacy. Courage, honest, and a heart as big as Planet Fierce.

I'm one of those older ladies who sometimes has trouble sleeping......so I finally got up at 2:00 am and listening to Adam's interview. I had already read this interview and knew exactly what Adam was going to say but watched it anyway. I have two children aged 32 and 30 both well educated, mature and accomplished but certainly not as confident nor as wise as Adam appears to be. As he stated he has learned to project confidence even when he has self doubt and the way to sometimes take control is to surrender. This is something most people learn only with much more life experience. Adam is my imaginary third child who I love and support unconditionally. There are lot's of superlatives I could use to describe my own children and Adam but I think what makes me most proud is that they are all really GOOD people.

What a beautiful thing to say..I can relate. I think that many of us who are old enough to be Adam's mom feel that way, speaking for myself of course. My own son ( approx. Adam's age) makes me very proud. He's had his own struggles along the way to adulthood, and found his "group" amongst the theater geeks as did Adam. They certainly have that in common. Adam must make his mom Leila just beam (and dance) with joy so often. I sat directly behind her at the Music Box GNT and witnessed just that firsthand. She did such a great job raising her two boys, Adam and Neil...each talented in their own way. And having followed Adam's career since day one on Idol, he makes me very proud to be his fan: I've done my own "beaming and dancing with joy" more than a few times.. May he continue on his journey with us tagging along.

Do you think interviewers and meet and greet questioners have been instructed not to ask any relationship questions?
This subject was discussed frequently in the past but now, not a word ever.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Asians are respectful and don't ask him about his personal relationship. After all it is his business.

Oh, I love Eber and of course he helped to raise the amazing Adam.. I was just relating as a mom :))

Anonymous said...

Adam definitely is a special young man and he can thank his loving, accepting and supportive parents who raised two amazing young men. Adam has had his struggles along the way but it has only made him stronger and better able to handle his stardom. I fear for the Bieber he is starting to self destruct.........too much, too soon is very difficult to deal with.

And another great Singapore "first person" review:

http://canadian-rainwater.deviantart.com/journal/ADAM-LAMBERT-LIVE-IN-SINGAPORE-358347433

First paragraph of the review: Read the rest at the link above...

"I pride myself on being an "old soul" when it comes to music taste. As a kid I was raised on classical greats like Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, and the list goes on by my dad. My mom weaned my sister and I on goldies like ABBA, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart, and Boney M. I listen to copious amounts of 70s and 80s bands that make me look like a bit of a dweeb to my classmates, ranging anywhere from Alice Cooper, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and Joan Jett through to Adam Ant and Dead or Alive. As a result, I'm heavily biased against what I call the "mainstream crap on MTV".

But just give me this one thing. Just this one.

Because I am a complete and total Glambert."

Amen to that............

I have wondered the same. Is there some people who has been meet and greet events. Is there any rules what you can ask. Mayby these events are so emotional to them who can go there that they don`t want waist time talking about his relationship tho. But media is different matter. This subject has been very hunting for me (for some reason I can`t understand myself either). But the more I think and watch the situation going on more I believe they are broken up for some reason. But thats life I quess and it seems to me that they are both OK. And that`s the most important thing to me because I love them both. What makes me little sad is that I have a feeling that Sauli is in difficult situation. He don`t belong either LA or Finland anymore. His home is Finland where his family and closest friends are but I think I saw a interview where he said he can`t be him self anymore in Finland. And he as friends in LA but he has been there only 2 years so it can`t be the same as in Finland. And does he have work there after that tv-filming he is doing. I`m sorry about this opening up. Don`t be mad. I stop to this.

Sorry guys a lot of tweets are in Indonesian and translation of the tweets in Google is sort of weird. So hang in there for videos. But it seems fans had a great experience of the concert.

Anonymous said...

8:54
I wouldn't worry too much about Sauli. He is young and resourceful. Maybe he will just go back to Finland after the filming is done. He said something about doing another roadshow with Katri in the summer. And hopefully the tv gig will lead to more things for him in the future. When he visits Finland now he is a celeb but if he is back living there he will feel at home again.

Anonymous said...

10:11 I can see why you love Sauli so much, he just grows on you. I don't have the answer to any of your other questions. They are both working very hard right now and this started way before the mini tour. Setting up a new TV show is massive and time consuming and so is a tour. I hope everybody in Finland is buzzing about Sauli's program, he is a natural.

Anonymous said...

Totally OT but I have to say it`s not easy to come back home after living abroad. It`s harder that go living foreing country. I have personal expierence of that. And I have read research about that subject. Mayby there is something to do with when you go back home you think it would be easy and familiar but sometimes it`s not. When you go abroad you know everything isn`t easy. I don`t know just random thoughts (about Sauli going back to Finland).

Anonymous said...

Oh my... planning Sauli´s life ahead!!! I think it´s rude since you have no facts what so ever about their relationship. You know what´s sad? People living other people´s lives instead of their own!

Anonymous said...

10:49 AM
Lol i imagine you spend as much time on the internet as anyone else posting here. it's rude to tell other people what to post about

Anonymous said...

10:53 am

No. It´s rude when you think you know best how Sauli should live his life, not to mention where he should live it. I guess you´re one of those who think they can say anything about anyone. That´s not only rude, it´s selfish.

loved the format of this radio program and the interview was wonderful.

Adam is so smart and articulate. I can listen to his interviews as much as I listen to his video performances. He has this IT factor and draws you in. Love this guy forever! Can't wait for the videos from Indonesia! Did he also do any interviews in Indonesia?

Indonesia is a very conservative country. I think it is the interviewers avoiding the subject rather than Adam making something off limits. But the silver lining is they talk more about his music which we like.

Adam is absolutely adorable. He just comes across as a real sweetheart! I too, am a older Glambert fan & not afraid (anymore) to admit it. He's talented beyond belief and can go to looking like the boy next door (a very, very cute boy)to so HOT he makes me sizzle. I fell in love with Adam season 8 on AI and my adoration of him has just grown. I just LOVE him.

@anonymous 3:17 pm... Because Indonesia is still conservative.. I was so surprised that I was able to watch Adam perform in Jakarta last night... I felt so blessed...

@Jackie, when I left the concert in Jakarta last night, I met this lady, I think she was in her late 50s... She went to the concert alone !! And it was a concert where there are no seats... can you imagine ? must have been tiring for her, but she did it anyway.
