If I were a singer, I would be sick of everyone prying into my private affairs. I bet Adam gets sick of hearing it everytime he reads an article or does an interview. It is like celebrities have nothing for themselves. The paparazzi has twisted everything.

Adam's gay identity is a private and a public part of who he is. He will always be identified with it. He doesn't hide it. It will become part of his legacy, I think, in a GOOD way.

It's nice Adam is being recognized along with the icons of Ellen, Rosie, etc.

Seems to me that in a good way one of Adam's missions is to make being openly identified as gay a normal everyday whatevs thing, I bet he'd like this.

I would agree that being gay is part of Adam's legacy and he will always be identified with it. It is something he has never hidden because he has said that he was out at the age of 18. BUT I would hope that being gay is not the main trait/quality that identifies Adam in the total picture of his career and life. Let's also focus on the music, his vocal talent, his amazing stage presence too. Then add to that he is articulate, intelligent, witty, charming and candid which are all traits that make him one extraordinary individual. His message of love, understanding, acceptance and respect is one that all of us such practice in our daily lives. It would make society and the world a much better place for all of us.

The AMA incident did hurt his career. His performance was meant to promote his single "For your entertainment" and that song had the potential to be a big hit..

Then again, without the AMA incident, I am not sure whether "Whataya want from me " would be that much of a hit... even Pink did not include it on her album..

ooops own correction.. Didn't Pink eventually put Whataya want from me on one of her compilation albums ?

This is recognition from a LGBT oriented magazine so it isn't that Adam is first being identified as gay. Many complained that he wasn't getting enough recognition from the gay community. Now that it is happening people here still aren't happy.

The AMA kiss only matters to those who have an issue with gay people already. The only way they would like Adam was if he was in the closet, which he doesn't want to be. So no loss there. Anybody who is OK with gay people either said about time or didn't care. I'm one of the didn't care group.

The male-male kiss is fine for me.. but I was a bit turned off when Adam shoved that man's face into his sexual parts... I would have been turned off as well if it was a a guy whose face was shoved into the "female sexual parts"... So it has not really much to do with gay/straight but more with the sexually charged action itself..

Rosie is one mean and angry b***ch. I liked her at one time until she turned hateful on her show and felt empowered to be as hateful as she could. To be mean and rude to people you invite on your show isn't funny, it's mean and rude. Ready to be jumped, but it's my opinion.
