Three things come to mind from these vids.
One: I cannot believe how strong and clear completely on pitch his voice is. No other singer that I can think of has that incredbile voice quality.
Two: He is a perfectionist.
Three: Obviously, he wasn't born with ears that any ear buds can fit comfortably. LOL!
I loved his performance! Clear, strong and resonant!

I just LOVE the soundchecks - he's at his most natural, I think - love the look of concentration. And how he listens to absolutely every little thing. Really interesting for me. His pants needed hitching when he walked the red carpet ...

Maybe he needs suspenders. I would be glad to put them on for him.

I notice that Adam usuallly has an issue with the ear buds. He is fixing them or pulling them out as he is performing. What did singers do before those ear buds came into use? And, yes, he does seem to be a perfectionist wanting everything to sound just right. After all, he does sing live, no lip synching for him. For me, Adam is the best vocal talent in music today with an amazing stage presence. Then you add in those gorgeous looks and you have one spectacular performer.

I am so use to Adam adjusting his ear buds I would think something was seriously wrong with him if he didn't. lol

Seriously, I wonder why Adam has so much difficulty with his ear monitors. I've never seen anyone adjust them nearly as much as Adam. It must be a real pain in the proverbial for him.

Maybe Adam needs ear buds made specifically for him but that might already be the case.

When I first noticed him doing that, reseating them or just taking them out I laughed and said he must have ears like mine! I wear a hearing aid and though it is molded especially for my ear and should block the ear canal, somehow air gets around it and it whistles. I get so tired fooling with it I just take it out. I can hear without it at home, but I need it in a crowded noisy place. I only wear one since getting smacked in the other ear by a baseball as a kid.....that ear is ornamental only!..........JAK.

I loved listening and watching these rehearsal clips. Adam's performance at the Chinese Musical Awards was in a league of its own .... MAGICAL!! His voice was so pure, and the back-up singers were excellent - their voices blended so well with Adam's and didn't overpower him. All in all, a performance extraordinaire and one that he can be extremely proud of.

I thought the ear buds were to help him hear the sound quality properly. I didn't think they were a fit issue but what do I know?

@daydreamin ..... you're right. The ear buds are so that the singer can hear the music clearly but they need to fit the singer's ears properly for that to happen.

Singers wear ear buds to hear their own voice clearly in order to stay in tune and in rhythm with the music......also to block out the noise of the audience and in addition can receive communication from the stage director....such as "wind it up, we're running overtime!"

We have all seen Adam give the thumbs up ...louder...sign, if fact in one performance, he even said "louder...I can't hear myself." Also the flat hand motioning "down".

They are important and useful, but can be uncomfortable to wear and frequently malfunction..........JAK

Does any other male singer wear a suit when rehearsing? I bet no one 'cept our BB.

OT just proofread what I wrote and the word 'rehearsing' has new meaning for me now. The prefix 're' means more than once and then you have 'hear' and 'sing.' Adam is truly "rehearsing." :))))))

I agree with you all. I really enjoy the rehearsal vids. They seem so authentic. Like a window into his world . Fly on the wall. Etc I just love his voice his look just love all of him. Yes as I have said before he colors my world. I'm obsessed as many of you are. He is magical!
