God I love that boy! He is so eloquent and sincere, love him, love him, love him.
I am so glad just by being himself Adam has bought so much awareness, and is being recognized for it more and more.
All we need now is for the music business and radio in the US to come on board with the rest of us, cause lets face it guys this is the big one.
So proud!!

Awww, He wants to make folks feel "safe and comfortable". Love and compassion wins the day! What a sweet, wonderful and simple message. Adam's speech winning hearts and minds all over the Los Angeles, the USA, and the world!

Love what you said, Jadam NZ. God, I love that boy, too!

This Hope of LA Award honours Adam and is formal and respectful; like the program, so well done and the plaque presented to him ceremoniously on stage by the LA Mayor. It's befitting a worldwide celebrity star. I notice Adam particularly emphasises diversity in the gay/lesbian community. I too think that's an important point to highlight; so as to thwart stereotyping and arouse awareness regarding diversity in this group of people.

@ Lam-my.....I agree with you on the importance of those words. There are as many types of gay people as there are types of straight people. We don't conform to cookie cutter images of each other and we need to accept that each type of person is of value in society.

Well. maybe with a few individual exceptions it would be unkind to name!

I think Adam has learned to bear up well under the weight that has been placed on his shoulders. Being a representative is not easy but he's doing an admirable and gracious job!......... JAK

JAK hi!
The starkest thing to me is, Adam is not doing a job; he is being that job. He just goes around being himself doing what is most natural to him; and that's why he doesn't worry even if he doesn't get any award, for just being who he is. But absolutely agree with what you say about Adam doing an admirable and gracious job all the same. For me, he's not doing, he's being. lol! That is the real beauty of it. Hey, I know you don't like to argue. lol!

Adam at LifeBall

Ali Baba bedecked in jewelled turban and cloak
Walks like a model on the catwalk as lithe as a wisp of smoke
Singing Love Wins Over Glamour
Gold, emerald, sapphire, ruby, amethyst, robed
He declares LifeBall opened with outstretched arms
Open Sesame! He yells. The dome panels slide ajar like Ali Baba's treasure trove

There are very few people in the music world who are as intelligent, articulate and humble as Adam Lambert. It is so good to seem him being recognized for bringing awareness and an understanding to the public about the LGBT community. He is beautiful inside and out. And I agree that it is about time for the music business and radio in the US to recognize what an amazing talent he is and a wonderful human being who cares so much about his fellow man.

Im specially proud of the fact that Adam seems to have grown so much since coming off Idol.....as he said at first he just wanted to sing....but because if his willingness open his eyes and heart...he soon realized he was meant for a greater purpose ... his willingness to accept and further that purpose....IMO....will help so many young people not just in the LGBT community ....but any young person struggling to fit in....I love this amazing man so much.....rose petal

Adam so simply and eloguently states what the goal of every human being should be. We should atrive to make each other feel safe and comfortable and accepted without threat or hate. He does this by being a living example, but not lying or hiding or trying to fit into a box he wasn't made to fit into. I just keep praying that his music can break through into mainstream audiences. He deserves to be heard as a singer alogn with his social advocacy. It may take a judging spot on AI. It may take something else. But his breakthrough to the next level will come, I'm sure of it. His LGBT work is being well-rewarded and his always stand in his legacy.

meant "by not lying..." and "will always stand." Sloppy typing this morning.

OT. People.com has a poll with Adam listed for possible AI judge. I don't usually follow all these polls, but People Magazine is big exposure. Nice recent picture.
