adam can sing runnin in american idol omg so good- sing in final ai.

Runnin is my favorite song on Trespassing because I like the rock edge but even more it shows off Adam's amazing vocal range.Doubt he would sing it if he goes on idol since he didn't sing it on his WAG tour. Just want him on the finale so bad. Adam is the master of surprises, so just maybe he will be on, but not going to get my hopes up.

Adam zinging in on the camera - my eyes don't even notice the two lovely people he's with .... but Sam holding his own too. Both so charming.

I don't understand why anyone thinks adam will ever sing runnin? It's a hard song to sing, he's never done it live. Yes, I would love that more than any other song but he won't do it glamberts sadly he just won't!!

I think the most important thing is that he actually sings on Idol. He'll choose the most appropriate song.

He's not doing Runnin' on Idol. It will have to be one of his hits that a contestant can sing with him.

American Idol is not Adamland, not an Adam concert. If he is on the show it will have to fit within the parameters of the show.

Was not talking about AmIdol (there's nothing about AI in my comment), was talking about ADAM, only about Adam. And all these comments where peeps are trying to regulate him, put him in a box...tell him what he needs to do or what he does not need etc. Same story in the next thread, well, in almost every thread.

David C.sang his latest song,and that song didn't have to be in a in a certain category.It can only help BB's album sales.just so it IS from the album,Trespassing.To hear him sing anything would make me happy,tho.How about another song??How about Shady or Underneath??

Idol doesn't live to showcase guest artists. It uses them to draw audience for the contestants, who they are trying to launch into the business. Some of the online comments and tweets are embarrassing. The dissing of Lazaro because he might get in the way of an Adam-Cher duet? This is Lazaro's season - not Adam's. Adam could have dueted with Cher in Season 8. Idol got KISS instead. How would we have liked it if they had inserted Daughtrey in that performance to give him a promotional boost?

I just finished working out to The Very Best of Cher album. It's great to exercise to, classics but mostly her disco years. I was struck with a duet for Idol Finale.
Ryan shows the clip of Adam auditioning to Cher's I Believe in Love, then the music switches to Cher's disco drive and Adam and Cher walk out (I can imagine her glam challenged by Adam's) and they sing the up tempo version together. I know it's only going to happen in my mind, but it would be fun. kk

Do some of you know how the finale of Idol works? It's not the promote yourself/latest single episode, it is focused on that season's contestants and seeing them perform with big stars. And the duets are of the stars big hits, not the song you want to hear Adam sing.

Obviously Adam doesn't know how it works then, because he said he had no new release to sing.
I believe most of these commenters are just wishing.

When Adam mentioned probably not being on Idol this season, I suspect that he was referring to the weekly results shows. That's where most other artists appear to promote their new music. I also suspect he wasn't referring to the Finale, which is a whole different matter entirely. The Idols sing duets with famous artists, past and current, and sing those artists well known songs, usually. Just because he said he wouldn't be on Idol, doesn't mean that can't change. They are still in the process of announcing who will be on the Finale. And who will duet with whom. Hoping one of those well known artists is Adam. It would be such an honor for him. And great exposure too. Even though the Idol ratings have dropped this season, it's still one of the most watched shows on TV. And the Finale really draws in the viewers. So fingers crossed.................

As for the commenters "just wishing": well hell YES!! But it's also been reported ("by a reliable source"...) that Adam has been approached to do the Finale.. So not just "Idle" :)) speculation here.... We'll know soon enough..or it could even be a surprise... And I do LOVE surprises!!!! Hoping......

You're absolutely right of course! Very much a "win/win" situation for both Adam and Idol. :)))

I'm curious as to what song of Adam's that got some radio play would be appropriate for a duet? It would have to be NeverCloseOurEyes wouldn't it? That's the only one that would work with a female co-singer, because it was written as a romantic song even though Adam's mv did not portray it that way. I have only watched idol once this year and that was weeks ago, but I know that many of you feel
there are some of the finalists with strong voices. It would have to be someone with vocal power. We are probably just dreaming, but no harm in that. kk

What Do You Want From Me is his biggest hit and we've seen from The Voice of China that it works beautifully as a duet.

Maybe "Mad World" didn't Clay Aiken do one of his idol songs.
Whatever it is I don't mind, just to hear him sing is enough for me. Fingers all crossed.
