JAK here.....Adam has been the most supportive, recognizable, outspoken Idol contestant who consistently attributes his chance for success to the show. Therefore I think he should be recognized as a spokesperson for the show.
He always describes his experience in a positive way. I think, if it should happen, he would be a wonderful judge.
He has experienced that deep desire to be an entertainer and seems to be encouraging, but realistic. He has been there and knows the dreams of the contestants.
I read somewhere that Keith said he would like to stay.
Adam and Keith would be a double dose of Yummy!
I think 3 judges are enough......that's how the show started. Get a female singer/songwriter in the middle.....
Sheryl Crow or Pink! Someone respected for their skill, not for being a diva or exotic ornament.
And....change the voting rules!

I'm thinking one of daydreamin's personal videos showed Adam getting that top pic taken. Does anyone else remember that? daydreamin?

Yes I remembered the top pic right away too from Daydreamin`s vids. Exceptional pic that kind of is so outstanding from all the other pics shown,stays in mind.Full of details and colour. MS

JAK, unless you are watching interviews with all of the other past contestants you cannot possibly know that Adam thanks Idol the most.

@JAK

So well stated JAK. I totally agree with you.

@JAK I agree with you. Maybe others are thanking idol but Adam always does and is so humble and complimentary to the show.

Adam acknowledges AI Big Time in China Idol Interview. Does AI use that praise for where you would suppose it could be used for, like raising intrest for the show itself and new contestants? I hope it would. MS

Have you guys been getting your daily votes in on the MTV O Awards. Adam's arrow is pointing down down down!!

JAK I totally agree with everything you said.......Pink, Adam, Keith now that would be a threesome worth watching. I love listening to Adam speak, he has the voice, the quick wit and he is so articulate. It would be great to watch him on a weekly show!

Michael Orland, piano accompanist and long time vocal coach, has said many times that Adam has been consistently and vocally appreciative, and in his opinion, perhaps more than any other contestant. I think he is basing his opinion on valid and personal experience. He's seen many contestants over the years, so I would tend to put a lot of credence in his words. I believe @JAK spoke the truth, based on her years of careful "Adam watching" :)) She isn't one to make statements based on unsupported assumptions. I'm not at my computer right now: other wise I'd pull up some tweets from Michael Orland that supports what she said...

@ JAK, I agree with Adam and Keith as judges. I've thought a lot about that. Pink would be good as the female judge or maybe even Cher.

I don't know who will be the new judges for Idol-and don't have the emotional energy to get excited or invested in the possibility that Adam would be hired to be one of them {the obvious best selection, in my opinion} but I do think attention will be given to present a panel that represents some diversity in the music industry. This is, of course, a good thing-as long as that diversity reflects top, skillful musicians rather than the tabloid personalities Fox thinks the public will tune in to see squabble each week.

JAK, I agree completely. The logic of having Adam as a judge is a no-brainer to me, too. I know other former Idols probably express their gratitude to Idol, too, but I have to believe that Adam is one of the major ones. And he spreads that message of appreciation around the globe. A Keith, Adam, Pink judging panel looks good to me, too. For now, I'm just happy that he's going to Vienna and I'll be there in San Diego in July to see in live. Idol needs time to re-group and save itself with a new plan.

pink would not do it bring back paula

I liked Paula, she was occasionally flakey, but she recognized talent and poured the love on the contestants. However, she is not a well known performer to this younger generation of voters. Besides, if AI wants a new look, that would be moving backwards. They need someone contemporary. kk

I could only see Keith Urban as a returning judges on AI. To list the new judges it would be, of course, Adam Lambert. Keith and Adam! Be still my heart! I honestly don't want a mean judge on the panel. Only those who would could give constructive advice with no B/S. Don't tell contestants they will be a STAR! Now 2 girls....would love to see Kelly Clarkson and Sheryl Crow. Remember Adam as been on AI as a mentor and every year it's since Season 8! But right now Adam continue working on your next album by the end of Idol next year, you'll be ready to tour! Just think of all the exposure he could get on AI!! The audience seemed to love him on the Thursday night Finales! :) Yes!!

Unless you watch and read interviews of all the Idol contestants there is no way to know who is most appreciative and it's kind of a stupid thing to worry about who has been most vocal about it anyhow.

Anonymous said...

Definitely Adam and Keith as judges. Paula would spend her time flailing over Adam - and maybe Keith too. lol Not another country artist - Keith has that in the bag already. Cher would be great and so would Anastacia!

Keith is too boring, cute though. AI needs to start with a new fresh panel of judges. Adam should be head judge!

@11.36pm
I am a regular on an AI blog site, so do have a little bit of an insight into many idols, and none I've seen have been as appreciative as Adam, in fact many try and distance themselves from Idol.
I was surprised Jennifer Hudson was on the finale this year, as she has been pretty dismissive of Idol, and even recently said it should stop airing.

HK fan - you said it! I have watched many interviews with former idol contestants and when idol is inevitably brought up, their response is minimumly enthusiastic. Adam is the only one who seems extremely appreciative and says again and again how grateful he is and that he wouldn't have this level of success without the platform Idol offered him. He had experienced a lot of rejection in trying to become a recording artist and grabbed at the chance Idol gave him. kk
