VIA The Carrot:

He ended with Levels, his first single off his new album Wake Me Up, and then finished an amazing set with Lay Me Down featuring the gorgeous and talented Adam Lambert and the legend Nile Rodgers.
Lol I was just starting to walk towards the exit after Wake Me Up and I was like wAIT, I think this is the song with Adam. So obviously I had to go back and record it.
As you can tell people were really enjoying it and dancing along! Great reaction.

Love this song, if it eventually becomes a single that will be Adam's break into radio. Avicii is very popular especially with the young fans and he is all over the world with his tour!

I am willing to bet money :))) that Lay Me Down will be the next single off Avicii's new album...and perhaps released around the same time the album comes out (Sept. 17th..). And perfect timing for Adam on Glee. Awesome only begins to describe it..So excited for Adam and all the wonderful things coming up for him.

BTW, he just started following some Sat Night Live people..so hmmmmmmm........

Omg so much stupidity

Anonymous said...

9:43 there are only 6 comments before your stupid post. what are you not agreeing with? Back up your opinion

Anonymous said...

Yeah 9:43...what are you referring to?????

glitzylady said...

@Anon 9:43 AM
So. Explain your comment...What's "stupid" about liking a song? Avicii is wildly popular. World wide. What's the problem? You don't think "Lay Me Down' could be a hit single, both for Avicii and for Adam Lambert..and Nile Rogers?? Why not? I'd love to hear it. And you don't think Adam could have even more stardom and popularity than he has now??

Sorry. Just not in the mood today for hearing/seeing the slamming of excited fans and in the process, Adam. Yeah, you're entitled to an opinion, and all that, but so am I. And so is everyone else here. :)))

Anonymous said...

Love this song, yes it could possible open doors for or Adam Lambert. Good beat, and vibes.

Anonymous said...

Well first of all none of the people he followed is working for SNL presently so implying their might be something for adam in SNL is stupid. Not that he would ever be considered even if they were current writers. You are the first to bash someone thinking instagram likes are significant but you seem to think twitter followers are.

Thinking LMD will be a single in a couple of weeks, when they have just announced a new single is also not exactly top notch thinking. Did you just block that fact out of your mind? They don't need a single in the US anytime soon and the rest of,the world is just now getting the other one.

Perfect timing for adam on glee? The earliest we will see adam on glee is November since he isn't in the first three episodes.

But don't let simple facts prevent you from non stop squeeling about all these amazing, exciting things!!!!

Anonymous said...

Here you are talking about something new from Adam and while food shopping this morning, what do I hear but WWFM being played in the store. A big smile came over me and I just started to sing along quietly to the song. I think it will always be my favorite and I never tire of hearing it. Let's hope this this song Lay Me Down will bring Adam's name back to the music scene again.

@Anon 10:25 AM
Thanks, I won't :)))

Since you're being so honest about why you think I'm so "stupid" and out of touch with reality, here's what I think:

Everything we are speaking of here (and on many other threads here and elsewhere, including twitter, on "official" Adam Lambert blogs, in the media..) is speculation (and hopes and wishful thinking..and sometimes real hard confirmed facts) based on little bits and pieces of rumors, opinions, snippets of real information based on reality..or not..etc... And not presented as fact here until confirmed or denied. We are excited to imagine what may happen in the future. NO ONE is assuming it is set in stone fact. Including me. I'm not a stupid person. And I assume you aren't either. For me personally, it's FUN to think about the possibilities. It's downright exciting. I know every bit as much as you seem to think you do. Which in the whole scheme of things isn't really much until either proven or disproved. You apparently take great pride in being a wet blanket, throwing cold water on whatever we here might feel a little excitement or hope for, when it involves Adam. This is an Adam Lambert fan blog. What do you expect? You've already taken the fun out of this thread. And I suspect other threads as well. I stand by what I said. Who gives a s**t whether it happens sooner..or later... Just hoping it happens. That this song is successful. That it's single, hopefully the next one. If it's all just rumors, including the SNL thing, so what. But go ahead and take pride in your ability to deflate a perfectly good mood here. Because you're really good at what you do. Next you're going to tell me that Santa Claus isn't real.

Have a nice day.

Very cool. ^_^ Thanks for sharing.

The next single off Avicii's album is You Make Me,it's having its debut on radio in Europe, but I hope the third single will be LMD, it's a great catchy song and I love the Nile funky guitar mixed in!

If you are smart you do a great job disguising it. I'm all for being happy when real things happen for adam but ridiculous speculation based on absolutely nothing is not fun, and only leads to disappointment when nothing comes of it. Not to mention feeding those completely over the top beliefs that somehow adam is the best singer in the entire world and going to miraculously become some huge success that is posted here on a regular basis.

His career is struggling. His future in the entertainment business is very uncertain. Just like almost everyone else off idol. Those are facts

Today I am no longer a ANON. So when I comment for fun or with an opinion..so what. We all love Adams voice and gentle soul. Up or down. Hello Glambert Fandom!! I'm Kath from St. Louis MO. STep up.

Please,Debbie Downer,go to another site...you're not a real Adam fan.You're so negative about everything to do w/Adam.): Be more positive about life!!

I don´t know how many believes but real Santa Claus lives in Finland, in Korvatunturi a mountain in Lapland, so atleast I know something! :)))
Have a Good Day, I´m heading to sleep :) Gonna pray Adam and Sauli both be safe and happy:).MS

10:46. You are not a fan. Just like to make people feel bad and doubt their fabulous Adam What a poor excuse of a human being you are. You cant wait for our excitement just so you can try to knock us down. Fool you what we predict WILL come true. Go back into your miserable hole where you belong.

glitzylady, don't let the debbie downer get you down. Personally i love reading about speculations. Not all speculations turn out to be false. Many of our speculations turn out to be true...I can remember 10 things that were said by fans in this blog and it turned out to be real and official.

Needless to say, I also think LMD will be the next single. No way are they doing so much promotion for the song if they didn't think it will sell as a single. this song will help everyone's career, especially Adam's.

Anonymous said...

JAK here.....@ MS....Of course I believe Santa lives in Lapland, where else would his reindeer feel at home?

@11:10. Speculation is a vital part of our fandom. Don't
take that away. I quote the eternal optimist, Robert Browning....."The aim, if reached or not, makes great the life".

I quote another excellent vocalist like our Adam......That's life, and as funny as it may seem some people get their kicks stomping on a dream.....Mr.Sinatra did well in the business.

Don't worry I'm not going to quote Elvis...If I Can Dream.........but it isn't nice squashing dreams. Let us be happy planning a rosy future for Adam. It's a wonderful game Let's Pretend. We will deal with reality when we must.

Anonymous said...

Just one thing, doubt anybody cares what I say but glitzylady is an incredibly uplifting person here and also very informative, I tend to get on the grazy train every time she sees exciting things re Adam. I don´t get disappointed if something doesn´t happen I just choose to live in a little happier anticipation of the future. By the way all the "cracks" of the rocks are already full of people shouted out of this site so please no namecalling or rudeness from anybody. MS

@glitzylady
I personally appreciate all the information that you bring to this site. You seem to me to be a bright and realistic lady who loves all things Adam. I'm totally with you and I intend to celebrate the joy that Adam brings to my life. When I read the negative comments from certain people I give them a silent piece of my mind and continue with my own happy thoughts. I'm glad however that there are people who openly take on some of these Debbie downers who I'm finding to be a bit tiresome.
Thanks again Glitzy.....we need you on this site!

Hi @Kath And @Jackie !!! Nice to meet you!

@Anon 12:18 AM
Aw thanks.. I don't let it get me down. Just get tired of it. Not here to hear about all of what's "wrong" with Adam..or what can't possibly happen...or whatever else is wrong with being a sort of gung ho fan of this talented man. Just here to flail and discuss. Not to moan and be disgusted. No one is perfect, including myself..and Adam. We're real human beings, imperfect but doing the best we can. I have my moments of worry about him, my moments of dammit! Why doesn't everyone get that he's pretty amazing.. And my moments of "oh my goodness Adam!! Whoa!!!!..." .. But mostly I think he's pretty special and worthy of my incessant flailing. I like Adam just the way he is.. The slightly crazy and lovable and talented guy that he is. Can't help it. :))

Anonymous said...

10.46 tired of the Debbie Downers on here.i will listen to GlityLady over you people any day. I keep trying to write make mistakes and erase. GL is a fine supporter of Adam and nothing she's says it out if reach. Adam will be on Glee whenever that is but he will be there after the break or before and he will be great. Kris C. Has stated Adam will play a mean guy to him it whatever can't wait no one gave you the scoop when he will start over us. Adam done alot after idol good things and he going to do Glee and better yet fronting the icon Queen at a huge festival in Vegas televised. I hope no one is struggling from Idol but I know adam's career has certainly done better than some he not opening outlet malls but I hope everyone from that year does better. Adam career is taking a good direction. LMD is getting a lot if good press and Adam vocals are on it in all it's glory. Sooner or later I think it will be a single nobody said it was the next single. Good things come to those who wait. Plus he done other songs with Avincii and Niles. Sorry for mistake no glasses on! On bed rest a bit for the big O. Positivity is a much better way to go than negativity it will get you no where in this world I believe. GL as long as the old Heart keeps me here I will be here for you and have your back against the ever present Negative Nellies. Sue

I'm in total agreement with Glitzylady and what she's said here I just can't articulate or express my thoughts nearly as well as she does. So I'm grateful she's here because we really need her informative comments, links etc. I've come to rely on her for the latest "hopeful good news" which puts me in a happy mood.

I have complete faith in Adam enjoying a long lasting, successful career.

I also think LMD will be released as a single in the future. It's a great song and I can't get it out of my head!

Wow! Just logged on to see this storm of emotions! To the "realists" here, please just remember that the heart of a fandom is love and sharing emotional stuff along with the hard facts. We share rumors and some unsubstantiated news that floats around because it makes our hearts sing and our excitement soar. That's what I love about being an Adam fan. Sure, the facts are not always what we would like, and we face disappointments, but please! There are ways to talk to people who have hopes and dreams without calling them stupid. There is no reason to be rude. To diminish everything down to just the least poosible hopes and achievements would take all the fun and camaraderie out of all this common devotion we have for Adam. That's worth a lot more to me than just thinking about what good things won't happen. Why so pessimistic? Lots of singers would kill to be doing as well as Adam is doing.

Thanks to glitzylady, JAK and others here, we have a nice balance of reality and hopes and dreams and love. Hardcore realists may sometimes be right, but they're rarely fun. Hope we can all share our ideas with respect and without name-calling.

Welcome, Kath and Jackie!!! It's good to know you!

jackie are sure you really want to do this? lol

Anonymous said...

Why do we have a featured picture of Adam dozing off? When was this?

glitzylady said...

@DRG..and others..Thanks for your input..

One final thought (I'm off to spend time with the family on this beautiful Saturday..Yay!!)

In MY opinion :)) Everyone who comes to this blog has a right to an opinion. Admin leaves it open for just that reason. And I believe that everyone has a right to state it here. But I also believe that we also have a right to disagree or at very least agree to disagree. And to stand up for what we believe to be true. @Anon(s) 9:43 AM, 10:25 AM, and 11:10 AM also have that right.. But I don't have to agree. I don't necessarily believe that those commenters or commenter, as the case may be, should go away. Because a fan is a fan.

But as DRG said, please use some respectful language. I also need to take my own advice once in a while. :)) I sincerely appreciate the fact that @Anon 9:43 AM responded to our questions about the "stupidity" comment. It opens up a dialog for discussion. Sometimes it's not a happy discussion..but at least we're talking to each other. Sometimes another point of view is enlightening. I would be the first to admit I'm not always right in a discussion, but I like to think my heart is in the right place in regards to Adam. I suspect that @Anon 9:43 AM feels the same way. At least I hope so. Everyone should be welcome here if they are Adam Lambert fans. Respect is everything......

To glitzylady, i look forward to reading about the new stuffs you have got for us everyday, well done!
We can be realistic but lets not take the fun out!

nothing is certain in the entertainment business but I also don't think there is a need for doom and gloom from some naysayers. I donn't undestand wasting time on coming and posting that honestly.

2.10 I welcome you dear! I do get defensive when hatefulness comes into play. I love Adam and I will kiss his ass anytime I so choose. I quite sure I butted heads with you before. I will not argue with you life's to damn short and full of challenges. I could not agree with you more GL and the others are way more articulate than me and I have always said that. By the way lets add CT to that list and Lam/my and Rose Pedal and other all better than I by a country mile and I proud of their ability that I do not have I am more emotional but I don't love Adam any less with my not so articulate posting! I will take my not so little big Grannie feet and go now. Have a nice day and try not to single out one person to be nasty to it might ruin your day or maybe make it? Sue

I glad you appreciate GL and others hope you find posters here you are happy about. Sorry I am who I am I never unkind to people who support Adam.again have a nice day this is just not the place for me at this time, I am just to emotional and come off differently than I mean. Sue

Hate to mention they get really mad at me, I not trying to take over the site honest. again thank you sweetie. Sometime I get over excited about things and I never claimed I was articulate I stink at it. But I care much for Adam always will I express it best way I feel inside! Sue

If there's one thing I've learned from following Adam these last 4years is never apologize for who you are. We're all here to share our feelings about Adam in the best way we know how while showing tolerance (another thing I learned from Adam) for each other.

We need each other to feel part of a community with Adam and most of all, Adam needs us to support him and have his back which you certainly do with amazing passion. Thanks for being you!

Thanks, too, for the mention :)

@NOT-so-Anon 10:25

Do you EVAH stop to think that for some of us here in AL News 24/7 finding Adam, listening to his voice, loving and admiring him (as a fan), watching him sing & speak, following his career since Idol has been a life-altering, even a life-saving experience.

For some of us this site with all things Adam has been a place 'to let it all hang out' (flailing like a teenager), to share something very true, joyous and surprising with other fans around the globe (the incredible experience called 'the total package of AFL') and to use as a sanctuary of sorts (when you don't have other fans near by or you can't share your Adam experiences with your family or anybody)... where you can forget about RL for a while or get energy to deal with your RL...

What's wrong with flailing, being over-the-moon happy and optimistic for Adam?! WHY DOES IT BOTHER YOU SO MUCH that people here are not dead serious all the time and base their comments on facts only?! WHAT DOES IT TAKE AWAY FROM YOU?!

Unless you belong to Adam's inner & intimate circle of friends, co-workers, management and/or business partners, your 'facts' are no better than my 'beliefs' where Adam's career is heading!

Go ahead, post your opinions and 'facts' but do it respectfully towards other posters and STOP the name calling. Also please stop acting like you are somehow 'more in touch with reality' than the rest of us. So far you have only been like a laxative - irritating the shit out of everybody! Realistic enough for you?

Anonymous said...

I also believe that Adam will have longevity in the music business. It's a crazy, frustrating world with so many untalented, crass performers who may have a short lived success until the audience moves on to someone else. Adam's vocal talent puts him in a realm all by himself and unfortunately not what is being played on the radio today. But he is making inroads, baby steps as he says, and with the Queen concert in Vegas and then his appearances on Glee, hopefully this will open him up to a new audience who may just realize what we as loyal fans have known all along... that he is a vocal powerhouse and an awesome performer both musically and visually.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't it be great if they played LMD for one of the Adam Scenes on Glee? Thud!!!

Anonymous said...

This site is one of my safe havens. I love all the regulars, and actually look forward to their posts. I too love Adam and wish only the best for him. It will always be a struggle for him because of his total comfort in being himself. He does not shy away from who he is. Maybe his bravery and commitment are part of why I love him so much. He knows he won't be treated fairly by society as a whole. He has been an openly gay male in the entertainment industry for a long time and has seen alot of unfairness I'm sure. I honestly don't know how he can still be so positive and then be so supportive of other artists that he knows are not in his league but get so many more opportunities. Adam really is a great person, and I will continue to follow his career and stay informed about his life in communities like this one. I hope Glitzylady and others like Sue and JAK stick around for a looooong time, and not get discouraged by negative people....LB in Texas.

Thank you CT and others make me feel a lot better. I will never apologize for backing Adam I don't want to be mean about it but sometimes they just rile it up inside of you until well you know!! 3.50 so funny if I ever had a wet dream anymore I sure they could screw it up. Good things are happening for Adam they want to make sure they throw water on it. Let them throw all the water they want will not stop him, he a superior talent and sooner or later it will win out over the crap. There are always ups and downs but there have been some nice ups lately I feel good about Adam future. I not gonna stand by and listen to someone talk utter smack about Adam and a regular who supports him. My main focus will always be Adam. Again to the ones that have my back I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it sometime I feel all alone on here especially when I being trashed means a lot to have someone in my corner! Sue

4:10 thankyou for being so articulate. Every thing you said is exactly what I feel but I could never have expressed them as well as you. Followed Adam from day one, never was into singers in my youth but something about this beautiful man just hooked me. I do feel deep down that when all the Biebers of this world are just a distant memory we will be hearing about Adam whether acting, singing or any other endeavors he will take on. Keep positive folks and try not to take the bait when the negative ones try to pull us down. Peace everyone

Anonymous said...

Quickly, 5:46pm, you need to hear a better copy or the studio recording of this song to appreciate it. It is a winner. I think you'll love it when you can blast it in your ear holes!

To our "Omg so much stupidity" 9:43am poster, who then added an explanation at 10:25 am, you can have your fun being the "realistic" one, but IF you are a fan of Adam's you might know that being an artist,(which I suspect YOU ARE NOT), is a very difficult road. For every negative comment thrown their way, a thousand encouragements are needed to counteract it.

Fans, with their dreams and hopes for their favorite artists, are crucial. Encouragement can keep artists going in even the hardest of times.

So, "Omg stupid", learn or please leave. We're here to share our thoughts and have fun. Not to harm.

p.s.
Amen, 4:10pm, too funny!

@Sue Yes, it's wonderful to have the gifts of oratory and articulation combined with wisdom and insight.It's one of the reasons that Abraham Lincoln has been a life-long inspiration for me.HOWEVER, I can't tell you how many times I have been stopped frozen in my tracks from the most simple ,yet profound words that have come from the mouths of my little 5 year-old grandson and 7 year old granddaughter.
What I'm attempting to say is that your words of caring , love and excitement for Adam are never misunderstood by me and your passion is a reason I love to read what you have to say. Too many lack your passion---and it's a characteristic Adam has in abundance-and one of the reasons I love him so much.

I hope your upcoming medical appointments go well and that you feel physically stronger as time goes by. XO

I hope you will see all of the wonderful support you received here. This thread is going to get lost soon, if not already, but I really think it was a great one. Lots of love and support here. And we met some new friends along the way. Who cares how you say things, it's WHAT you say and the passion that you have behind it, and your love and support for Adam Lambert that's important. Please take care and feel better!!

To all who had kind words for me: Thank you! we're all in this together...I'm here for Adam, to flail and to just enjoy the hell out of everything he does. Everything.... :))

And to those who forget their manners sometimes :)) be nice. At least give it a try. I forget mine too on occasion, but I promise to behave myself it you will...

I like Sue's love for Adam. My only suggestion - enough already of enumerating Adam's accomplishments in every defensive post. it's really repetitive and tiresome. No need to enumerate every time for we all know them.
At least will make your defensive posts short and brief. Good luck and good health.

Anonymous said...

And Sue, one additional thing, try to break into paragraphs. It's dizzying to read your post or any post if in one long paragraph.
At least @glitzy lady has picked it up as of late. Make it easy to the eyes of the readers so as not to scroll by.

@Glitzylady I want to personally thank you also for all your positive posts. Don't let the negative remarks deter you. I am really happy that there are so many new names here! Welcome to you Kath and Jackie and any others that are new or who have taken a tag!

@Sue...take care of yourself. I hope you are taken care of only once and that things greatly improve afterward.

Lastly, we can all have our say. Just do it respectfully and without the snark and attitude. It makes it so much more fun to come here then. We are like a family in a way. We talk daily, many of us. Just like any family, we need to get along to have peace and harmony. It's what Adam would want of his fans besides.
