Roger Taylor defends the choice of Adam Lambert to front Queen after being asked, in a newly published talk with Classic Rock magazine, if he is “selling the band short by having a guy from American Idol as your singer.”
Taylor and Brian May will appear with Lambert at the iHeart music festival, to be held at the MGM Grand on September 20-21, 2013 in Las Vegas. He’s been filling in, over a series of appearances, since 2009 for Freddie Mercury — the legendary Queen singer who passed in 1991 after a bout with AIDS.
Posed the question about Lambert, Taylor fires back: “Whatever you do, people will take it or leave it. That’s always the case.”

10:46 very to the point answer and nothing more needed to be said.
As cool as Nile is, he showers so much special attention to Adam tweeting and taking these beautiful photos of him that I believe, part of his fascination must come from how Adam makes make him feel. This recalls the time when one interviewer picked Adam out of all the auditioners for AI8, and noted that Adam "made you feel special". Fame has not lessened this aura of Adam's; people, great and small, are drawn to him like bees to honey. With his tweeting enthusiastically about finally meeting Adam and body language in pics with him, Avicii looks like he is also falling in step with all the buzz gathering around Adam these days.
LOL
Adam is so uber talented but he is just so freakin' humble, which makes you just fall in love with him. There are few famous people like him-he could be so different, but his wonderful upbringing gifted him with a contrite heart. For me, personally, I love Adam's love of life, so infectious!!!
New music! Yay! Hurry up!

So agreeing with you. Have had the same thoughts and feelings from the first time they met, Adam & Nile I mean.
In general I think it takes 'special quality' (in touch and sure of themselves both sexually and otherwise) when straight men are able to be and feel comfortable around Adam and ADMIT to themselves that they too are affected by his persona and charisma. Cause believe me most straight guys are afraid to admit how they feel or don't know 'how to deal' when they meet Adam or are in his presence. His presence and aura - POWERFUL STUFF!!!
BEAUTIFUL & EMOTIONAL pic from Nile - Adam in studio booth...

@10:46 Thanks for the link to the article. I think a better answer to the interviewer would have Roger saying, "Apparently you've never heard Adam Lambert sing. He's not just a guy from American Idol."

The whole truth and nothing but. . .
