Wow, look at that jawline!

I have seen this picture before and since it's up again, I'll say something. Adam is as usual very composed and at home with his club friends. Hey Adam, you must be surfing the tunnel of the wave now with all the excitement swirling round it. You'll get right to the crest of your wave! because you're good at balancing especially in the high seas. lwl!

For the two people who care at this point... :))

Harry Connick Jr. is the new Idol Judge apparently....

Excerpt from The Hollywood Reporter story:

"Harry Connick Jr. Lands Third 'American Idol' Judge Spot (Exclusive): The singer joins Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez on the upcoming panel."

"On Thursday evening, Idol producer Simon Fuller hosted a small party in the champagne room of Los Angeles hotspot Bouchon with series mainstay Randy Jackson (who will move from judge to mentor in the upcoming season), Urban, Lopez and Connick on hand to toast the forthcoming announcement."

glitzylady , you can double those ZZZZZZZ's. I do like HCJ though.

Anonymous said...

Thanks glitzy lady. The guys are OK but JLo with all her gushing and nonsensical comments means I won't bother watching AI this year. Surely they could've found a female judge far more qualified than her. I didn't bother watching it last year after I saw 1 episode. However, I will watch an episode if Adam is a guest performer or a mentor on it.

Anonymous said...

Thank you, glitzylady. I never liked Harry Connick J. He was terrible mentor last time. So, just another reason do not watch AI.

Not thrilled about HCJ, I think I will get fed up with him very quickly....

Thank you! Brian, Roger and Adam show so much closeness and camaraderie, a formidable team. I doubt though they would go on a lengthy tour. Adam being the independent person he is, always wants to strike out on his own. He'll probably mount his own tour. They however would collaborate fairly frequently just like the upcoming Vegas gig...that's how I visualise it.

yuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!! if Jayo and Connick Jr are judges on Idol ):!!! don't like either one at all!!won't watch unless BB is a guest singer!!!!!! Jaylo stuck her rear..or twerked last time,remember??...looked worse than Miley for sure;??LOOKED very dirty to me/OMG,she needs to stay OFF Idol!Connick Jr was a lousy mentor and lousy singer, too!

To add on to my above comment...Adam fronting Queen is a prospective venture Adam could give a go at. Perhaps after his own tour at a later time. Not sure if Dr Brian is able to withstand a strenuous world tour. Health has to be top form; otherwise a lot of unforeseen difficulties arise such as cancellations etc.

Great lots of fun bitching on AI fb page. I won't watch it but I'll enjoy reading blogs and only watch it when Adam is performing.

Looks like Adam will return to AI to help with major ship repairs; his annual pilgrimage to his 'roots'. lwl! Perhaps by then Adam may have a new single out from his new album.

IMO pics of Adam and Jared Leto were the best part of VMA, they need the stunning ALERT : )
Both Adam and 30seconds to Mars have been in Finland during this year, super.
I saw Miley last night on TV repeat and I didn`t think her show was `so bad or rude` she tries to make it `fun`, but not with the great success?

Nice weekend to everyone, M

The folks at American Idol are Idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Moe, Larry, and Curly would have done a better job selecting the judges for this season. Add my name to the list of not watching this season. Jennifer is the worst and I can't stomach the amount of insane money that she's being paid to do nothing! Ridiculous!

I thought Harry was a pretty good mentor last year. Not looking forward to JLo and her unearned standing ovations again. Hopefully Adam will be on the show as a mentor or guest judge this year.

thought HCJ was rude to the girl who sang "My Funny Valentine"..I will not watch AI (unless Adam is on for some reason)...the people who run that show out and out lied to the American public about the show being revamped and made more exciting..what a bunch of losers they are..makes you wonder..any of us could have made better choices..but they get an obscene amount of money to pull this crap off...they really should be embarrassed..

Anonymous said...

@daydreamin, don't believe it. It's just another ploy to get Adam's fans to boost rating and give JLo the credit for the increase in viewers!

Anonymous said...

4:09, explain to me how that works.

3:22, maybe they think it is revamped and exciting, or maybe the new producers went a different direction.

Anonymous said...

3:22 AM, Amber was young and had no clue what she was singing. I think Harry helped her by making her figure out what she was singing. Maybe the editors showed a little too much of it but Harry was doing his job.

Anonymous said...

@11:48
HA, Danny Gokey revival! nuff said on that.
Is this the best AI can come up with this next season. Boring to say the least. Plus, Randy Jackson still involved!Time to move forward with a younger vibe.

Anonymous said...

Well, we won't be joining the 'in it to win it' brigade.

Anonymous said...

LOL to all oy you saying you're not gonna watch the next season!

Anonymous said...

4:22, Sure does make them feel righteous, doesn't it.

Anonymous said...

It is interesting to look at how these judge will pick what kind of contestant to win ticket to hollywood.Perhaps a singer with clay aiken style singing would be the choosen one singing the oldies song.maybe susan boyle wanabe will go through.

Anonymous said...

@4:27 A.M., Feel Righteous? Where did that thought come from?

Anonymous said...

the new producers did not go in a different direction..they went down the same path..so much for 'new and exciting'..and HCJ was way too harsh with Amber trying to get her to understand the lyrics to her song...

Anonymous said...

I don't know that these three judges will bring in a younger audience to watch Idol. Obviously the show should be about the contestants, but I don't see how these three will add interest to the Idol audience. And paying JLO 17.5million is outrageous. I hope that Adam returns as a mentor and a guest. That might be the only reason I would watch this season. I would love to have seen him a the third judge, but it might have not been a good move for Adam at this time in his career and with the waning interest in the show. I'll wait to watch him on Glee and hopefully he will be making a number of tv appearances to promote the show and his role in it.

Anonymous said...

These 3 judges will make middle class christian mothers happy. They will encourage their teens and preteens to watch and will watch with them. I expect this to turn Idol around.

Anonymous said...

Hey, I am sure that the picture of Adam on the "redheads" link is that photoshopped picture. His hair was NEVER that color!

Good luck to Danny Gokey. Nice your man.

IDOL!!!!! Why on earth would anyone watch? I watched one season after Adam and then gave up. The show has lost any integrity it ever had. And its treatment of Adam is reprehensible. I don't feel "righteous" about not watching. I just feel that it's not worthy of its hype anymore. Enjoy it if you like. It probably won't be around much longer. If Adam appears as a guest, I'll be there, no question. I can't imagine any younger viewers being interested in these judges at all.
We'll see. Sorry for my snark, but sometimes all this stuff just really gets to me. Getting' excited for the IHR show!

With HCJr. on the panel, this will be the most boring and annoying group ever. Harry is very opinionated and rather full of himself, which leaves Keith kind of in the same position he was in last time - between two divas.
I can't imagine watching unless Adam gets a guest spot.>>>>nancdruuu2

Anonymous said...

I saw the bit of film where Connick lectures the girl, I thought it was him showing off his music history knowledge to a girl with no interest whatsoever. It would have been easier just to say " it's about a girl who loves a homely guy cause she can see his heart ". Quicker and not so condescending .......... JAK

Anonymous said...

nancdruuu2 Again. About poor Amber, she took much abuse from Connick! The first time she sang My Funny Valentine, it was beautiful, spot on.
Sure, she may not have had a glue what she was singing about, but she got the feeling of it and made it great! She's a natural singer. After Connick got through with her, Amber was totally off and ruined the song. He should of shut up. Just my POV.

Adam looks as gorgeous as ever in this pic. Delicious, even.

Thanx Socialite Life!

Maybe HCJ will actually critique the contestants instead gushing all over them 17.5 million JLo style. Yuk! She's a waste of space & $$$$$$ on that show. I like Keith but there's no way I'm watching the show with her on it unless of course Adam is on the show for one reason or another.

Anonymous said...

Not forgetting "in it to win it" dawg Randy will be there as a mentor ..... Lord, give me strength!!

The Christian moms are going to approve of reformed drug addict and a woman who used her bodacious butt and see through dresses to ease into the spotlight. Married 3 times, now while still married legally is living with her boy toy ?
J Lo was a terrible judge, I fear HCJ will be too long winded.
That leaves Keith, quiet personable cute and probably overwhelmed again by his co-judges. A recipe for success!

Anonymous said...

HCJ embarrassed Amber and made her look shallow, personally I wish they would have edited out that segment. He went overboard at a young girls expense. It was also his first time as mentor so I will give him a pass this time. lol Wouldn't it be cool if idol had a forth guest judge every week?

Anonymous said...

The amount of Idol talk (idle talk, lol) here and elsewhere during all these four+ years after "Adam's Season" tells me that people will be watching the show again the next season...and the next...as long as there is a next season...

All these comments reflect so nicely on Adam.

My 2 cents worth..A 2 parter, so scroll if you wish..

As someone who has watched Idol every season in it's entirety faithfully since Season 7 (David Cook) and watched at least parts of the seasons before that (at least the semi-finals and finale's), since the very beginning.. I, like others, am feeling some disappointment in the judging panel this year, if these are indeed the final picks. I liked Keith Urban last year. I don't have the deep dislike for JLo that some express, but I wouldn't have minded someone else, someone new and different, as originally was implied by the hype from Idol and the media.

While I enjoy Harry Connick, Jr as a general rule, I was rather put off and a bit puzzled by his critiques last season. But maybe it was what was needed to get the point across.. What do I know?? I'm no expert. I used to be a little put off by Simon too, but I realize now that I miss that guy the most of all the judges that have left. Because he was generally right. Mostly. Except when he told Adam he was "self-indulgent" when he sang "Ring of Fire" in his very unique way "rubbish" on Nashville week..but I digress, and disagree... :)) But I suppose we'll see what happens this season. HCJr is funnier than hell as a general rule and talented and has obviously been in the biz for a long time.... And if nothing else should be very entertaining. But even my husband commented, when I mentioned that it looks like Mr. Connick will be the 3rd judge, "Borrrringggg... So who's going to draw in the younger audience? No one. Who's the one who is actually in touch with current music?? These are performers who aren't particularly young, so hmm..." . Points to consider. He, like me, doesn't strongly dislike any of them, he just doesn't think the panel is exciting or any great improvement over last year. Or the year before. He's an avid Idol watcher (and Adam fan too) and could barely watch last year, for the first time ever, for the same reasons many viewers were turned off. So, we'll see.

Obviously, as a fan of Adam Lambert, I was intrigued by the oft-mentioned possibility of Adam being on the judging panel, both this season and last. Because I would love to see him on my TV every week (I know..Glee and all but not sure yet how many episodes etc..hoping many!!) and because I think he would truly be excellent as a judge and/or mentor. And he'd get a lot of exposure once again. People would have the chance to fall in love with this guy again... And he'd be making some good money......always a plus for sure. But oh well... [My opinion: I do think they could utilize a weekly guest judge, which would make perfect sense to me, as they do on "So You Think You Can Dance". Brings a fresh perspective every week and it's fun to see other stars, some who you have no idea have expertise in that area (dance in that case..). But again: oh well... **Crickets**]

Part 2 :))

Bottom line, my hubby and I will probably watch again, to see how the "new" panel works out. We've always watched, Adam or no Adam, because we watch it not just to listen to the judges but to see the contestants working their way to the finale. Which is really what it's about. Or at least should be. And of course we are ALWAYS excited to see Adam, and some of the guest singers/groups on the show as well. Last year was tough...very hard to watch. The panel chemistry was minimal to non-existant. We're thinking it doesn't take much to improve over last year. So...here's hoping. Even without Adam on board....

I know they want the big names in music on the panel, but I do believe they missed a golden opportunity to add some spark and chemistry and practical ("been there, done that, this is what you need to do") commentary and critique/advice by passing on Adam, whatever the reasons. And I don't think it had anything at all to do with Adam being gay. At all. We know he was approached in the early stages of the judge search. Perhaps it's possible he wasn't available due to his Glee commitment (benefit of the doubt here..).. but whatever the reason, and be that as it may, it's a shame the new Idol producers have not delivered on the concept of "new and exciting" for Season 13. At least from what we know at this point in time...if we truly know anything at all.....................

JLo is back only because her manager is Simon Fuller and why she can demand $17M. Fuller will get his percentage just like Randy was back last year only because he was the manager then of Mariah.
Mariah fired him anyway as her manager right before AI12 was over because he failed to secure her being the only female judge as she was furious with the addition of Minaj.
But really now, i can't understand why Idol cannot get rid of Randy??? What does he add to the integrity of the show?

@7.36am
It wasn't HCJ's first time as a mentor, he mentored in 2009.

And it wasn't that hard to make Amber look 'shallow'....I have read many of her tweets to fans over the last couple of months, she probably has one of the 2 worst attitudes out of all the AI12 contestants. She's definately not as sweet as she tried to make herself out to be on the show.

I feel a lot has to do with corporate businesses benefiting from one another. J Lopez being in the business world for so long has a wide network of advertisers and sponsors who will help offset Idol's cost of running the show / paying salaries etc. if JLo is on board. In Adam's case, he is very new in the corporate network, so unable to compete with JLo, Mariah etc, in this regard. Definitely not because he can't do the job well and also the gay factor may not be a decisive reason either. Another plausible reason is he is now on Glee. Perhaps in a year or two when his corporate standing is stronger. It's a matter of time and most of all money. Like everyone knows...money begets more money. And there's nothing illegal or wrong as I see it. Business / corporate collaborations sustain / expand the economy and provide jobs for people. It's all interconnected like an intricate / complicated, piece of woven fabric. Otherwise how do you think JLo is able to wrangle 17.5 million out of Idol. She knows her worth and the sponsorship and advertising she brings to the table. On a positive note, I heard they have some problems looking for the third judge and it seems the new AI machinery says Adam will be on in some capacity...hmm a possible stand-in guest judge or working alongside Randy as a second mentor.
