Whoa...so beautiful! I love that Russian alien! Hey Von Daniken, you'd love this. They can skate on ice too! Not mentioned in your Chariots of the Gods. lol! I enjoy your book and the language; I come across many special words and phrases which I too use at times when I write. Adam's voice sounds ethereal in skating rinks. The lady skater exudes grace and beauty.

For inquiring minds, the featured pictures gif is from the Endfest interview from last summer (radio 107.9). Such a silly guy:)

Hmm, but it's OK in Russia to use music sung by a gay person?

Anonymous said...

Basicly it's the same as here... !!!
As long as the lyrics are 'straight' and the song does not 'have gay message', not one word that hints 'gay only'... and the singing does not sound gay (and they don't see/know who is singing)...it's okay.
Here (in the so called land of hope and glory) the 'added bonus' is when you see/know the singer, it is okay as long as he/she does not look gay or act gay or speak openly gay...

That was creepy as hell!!!

12:17, there is a long way between the attitude to and treatment of the LGBT community and LGBT performers in the US and Russia.

My two favorite things, Figure skating and Adam's glorious voice! Thanks for the link, daydreamin! I never can get any link that has t.co in it. I used to be able to get all of them. must be something lacking in my laptop.

@daydreamin

Thanks for the link to Adam's interview. It's such a pleasure to listen to him just talk. He's sooo expressive and articulate and getting to look at that gorgeous face up close for the whole interview is definitely icing on the cake :)

JAK here.... OT.....this song is about the same age Adam is. It was written and recorded by Tears for Fears in 1982...inspired by the book The Primal Scream. The rec.was heavy on synths. 20 years later it was out in simpler form for the film Donnie Darko. Then another decade later Adam broke our hearts and thrilled them as well singing it backlit on the Idol stage.

It def, has staying power. This was a lovely performance.
Music hath charms to soothe the savage alien?

Mad World is sung so hauntingly beautiful by Adam. I will always cherish his rendition of this song.

526 You really need to lighten up! I would never diss Adam. The moving pic is hilarious! Guess you don't see the humor! Oh well. Carry on....

@Glamitup
Never you mind, gurl, just enjoy the gif and LOL!
Adam is such a natural goofeball, love his humour and that SOOO expressive face of his, MWAH!!!
Some posters here are unable to see fun in anything, flailing is wrong, being optimistic and seeing a bright future for Adam is called delusional etc. Go figure.

Keep smiling!

I didn't know the song had been around so long. Adam singing it on Idol was the first time I'd heard it.

He isn't an alien, he's a robot!
