wow I love the pictures on that tweet. Have fun to all the lucky people going and I am looking at you glitzy. lol
I cannot believe this...my grandson is going ! He is a fan of Zedd (if you are as clueless as I was, he's a DJ ...electronic music like Avicii). Plus, I found out he (grandson) has known Avicii for 2 years...!
He was very surprised I knew who Avicii was. His quote , "he's a nice little guy"... Of course everyone, except NBA players, are little to him. He is living a charmed life, lucky kid........JAK
I can't wait to see the pictures and vids of Adam and the Queen performance. If it is anything like the concerts from Europe and England that they did, it should be spectacular. I think the entire show will be seen here in the NYC/NJ area on the CW network a day or two later. If not, I'll just have to catch it on this blogsite or on youtube.
@Jak - Maybe your grandson could hook you up with a meeting of Avicii, Adam, and Nile! If this is possible, maybe a few of your best glambert friends could come along. You know I've probably been posting here as long as you have!(hint, hint!) You and your family sound like they have all been truly blessed! Very well deserved I'm betting! Good luck!

@ nancdruuu2.....JAK here.....Sadly, unless that meeting took place at my house it's probably not possible. In my present stage of deterioration I don't travel more than an hour from home! Adam should have come along a little sooner when I was able to roam the globe. My grandson is the wanderer now and has fallen into clover.
He has a dream job....I've discovered that a luxury hotel concierge rules the world ! They "trade" suites all over the globe....And tickets and travel vouchers, etc. He just recently discovered the pleasures of the Vegas strip, has been there twice this summer and now headed back this month .... Gee, I wonder what a single 25 year old finds to do? I'm sure we only hear half of it.......If that much! ^_^
JAK-are you really OK and just being facetious when you stated that you were deteriorating? Please don't scare us-I bet you are really dancing to Adam's music right now under those sheets! I so worried about you after that snake bite-just take good care. XO, from another Glambert!
@ XO another Glambert........ JAK here
So funny...you are right I am bed dancing but to Christina Aguilara's ( sp?) music from Burlesque ! I think inwardly I've always wanted to strut my stuff on stage....that is back when I had 'stuff' !!!! But I was too shy. I was offered a job as a show girl at a hotel in Vegas, after the Miss Florida prelims...but I was so stunned I stammered out "but I'm a Sunday School teacher!! " The agent laughed and said "we have churches in Vegas"...
Just think, I could have been hanging out with Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. And a real crush of mine Peter Lawford! The Rat Pack....ancient history!
Now I'm an old lady bed dancing because of a bad back
and enjoying the ups and downs of a talented young man with a great voice, a joy of life and buckets of charisma ........life is funny.
P. S. about the snake bite....it left me with a tiny white dimple of a scar....just a short distance from a white crescent moon scar I've had for years....on the top of my hand. It looks like the emblem on the flag of Pakistan!
Decorative! I have no tattoos...just an assorted collection of scars........JAK
JAK - As to what a single 25 year old would do...what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
I spent many happy times in Vegas. In 1960, Hubs went to the restroom at the Riviera, I went to the craps table and Harry Belafonte was flirting with me. I was tall and thin and he was the most perfect man I had ever seen. Harry stopped flirting when Hubs returned, but told him he was a very lucky man. Hubs said 'I hear that a lot and yes I am.' 53 years later it was like yesterday.
Hubs isn't the lucky one, I am.
@ 11:23 A.M.......JAK here.......I feel the same way, we hit the jackpot didn't we? Striesand's ' Memories light the corners of my mind ' says it all, doesn't it?
