I notice when Adam sings with Queen, he seems to let go and feels so free to express himself completely. I think it could be that he and Queen have formed a mutual trust in the sense he knows whatever happens they will follow him and so his mind is in complete control of the performance. I see none of those hand signals when he's performing with Queen. In the IHeartRadio concert, he used so many techniques; WWTLF is rock operatic where he throws his voice out and in WWRY, he was almost doing a lyric poem recitation, sometimes sounded like rap. Queen is clockwork precision accurate and so Adam simply concentrates on his performance. It's a 10 for QueenAdam!
Hand signals? Do you mean a) those signaling to the sound people, mixers etc? Or b) Adams 'other' hand signals... lol
There are obvious reasons why no hand signals in either of those 'signal categories'. One of the strongest being - apart from the huge organization machinery & professionalism - the festival/concert was live streamed, taped and is going to be televised... Could give a few more reasons, but want to stay in a happy state of mind and not complain...
I have flailed enough about the incredible performance by Adam in this concert but Brian on his Red Special is pure magic. In the middle of WWTLF when Brian takes centre stage ........I find that part so emotional.
@ GMT.....me too! Brian makes that guitar cry and it wrings out my heart. Same thing with Adam's voice on that song. Great song, great artists.
Of course I admit to being weepy about most categories of art. My daughters tease me about weeping in art museums in 6 different countries. For years I've heard a lot of "oh Moms"....JAK

Does he 'let go' or is he 'in complete control?' The world is waiting for your answer with bated breath.
