Scarlett Cerry said they nicknamed Adam "Sweet Cherry Pie" at the beginning of the "Hair" tour in Europe when he was 20/21 and still had his strawberry blond hair..because he was so sweet...

you can really tell by these pics the character and sweetness that Adam possesses...what a doll..I think that is why we Glamberts so hate to hear anything negative about him and defend him fiercely..only those who don't 'know' him could possibly wrongly judge him

The Featured Picture showing "stankface" was during the MLB Fan Cave interview when Adam was demonstrating his reaction to something that impressed him (if I recall correctly). On the pic of an 18-year-old Adam, he was finalist for the male Non Classical Voice category and the girl next to him won for the female.

The funny thing about the featured picture is his face is showing his displeasure yet it is giving me a ton of pleasure.

No, several articles quoted his broadway friends including Scarlett saying they called him apple pie because of his wholesome looks.

Just read more about this on AO. It's from the 2000 Music Center Spotlight Awards, which ia a very pretigious competition in Southern California. I love being reminded about just how diverse Adam's musical experience has been. He's been recognized and praised for years in all kinds of music. Light opera, theater, solo work, etc. not to mention his post-Idol glories. I wish more non-fans were aware of just how much respect Adam has had for many years. He's not just a flash-in-the-pan. He's been performing publicly now for over 20 years, and his talent has been recognized by many. No matter where his path leads, nobody will deny that incredible voice.

@DRG - I totally agree with you! It makes me crazy when Adam is just referred to as the guy from Idol when he has done so much in his life! He has been involved in music at such a high level for much of his life - he has paid his dues! Like Nile says - some day they will understand his genius! (sigh)nancdruuu2

Anon 12:41 - thanks for that great article! I hadn't seen it before, even tho I feel like I've read everything ADAM since Idol. I frequently take a look at his performances from Zodiac and Upright Cabaret. He has always had that 'IT' factor, hasn't he?

I have had a desk top computer for years broke down & finally bought a lap top.I have had trouble sleeping so took Adam to bed with me or should I say the computer,pulled up one of his concerts fell asleep & slept like a baby.The computer was still on this morning best meds I have ever had.

I've been doing the same thing for so long.
Adam keeps me company at night and puts me to sleep and find my laptop is still open in the morning. LOL!
My anxiety attack has vanished ever since I started and always a good restful sleep.

Adam isn't ashamed of being in American Idol. He said if it weren't for American Idol, he wouldn't be in the position he is in today - and if he hadn't been in American Idol, in all likelihood, none or very few of us would've heard of him.
