VIA Billboard:
Of course, Queen and accomplished pop vocalist Adam Lambert had to do more than just show up and run through the rock group's back catalog in order to earn the headlining slot over Perry on Friday night. With each new show, Lambert's involvement with the five-decade-old band makes more sense: Freddie Mercury's king-sized songwriting makes for a perfect vessel for Lambert's operatic wail, and iHeartRadio fest attendees who wanted to stick around for "Another One Bites The Dust" got to witness the magnetic power of Lambert's pristine high notes. The former "American Idol" runner-up oozed charisma as he strutted around the stage, winking at his reputation of a fill-in while also reminding people they should still pay attention to his solo career whenever this stint with Queen, er, bites the dust.
By the time that Nate Ruess and the rest of fun. joined Queen and Lambert for "Fat Bottomed Girls," the audience seemed to pick up on how special the performance was -- not just because it featured a hard-to-duplicate collaboration, but because that collaboration was uniformly excellent. Queen/Lambert was an unconventional headliner on Friday night, but Lambert's manicured vocal blasts were able to harness rock songs that everyone in attendance knew and loved -- "Bohemian Rhapsody," anyone? -- which more than than made up for the lack of a current pop star closing out the show.

I know everybody are very exciting about last night show.
But I have sad news. Avicii next single is going to be Hey, Brother :(
This one is a must read too:

So much praise for Queenbert performance last night. Adam take it all in as Paula Abdul used to tell you.
So many great articles complimenting Adam's vocal performance with Queen. WOW!
avicii said durign his interview- lay me down is going to be the single no?hes lying then?
6:49, I'm disappointed at this news, if it's true. But I think Avicii said that LMD was going to be A single, not the NEXT single. I think that's what he said, anyway. So, there is still hope that LMD will be single. Who knows how these decisions are made???
DRG
Do not fall for that he has not made for sure any decisions yet. He said definitely will be a single and probably the next one. I doubt he announced anything the second one not even out yet in America. He certainly has cast nothing in stone yet about third one. The hey brother people are starting that or just a trouble maker. They always start out trying to make you believe their a fan more believable that way. Everyone so happy about the great reviews and all that good for Adam now just figured out a way to pour water on it. He did say it was definitely gonna be a single he said most definitely so one way or the other eventually it will be a single.once that song gets in all the clubs it gonna pick up well many have not heard it yet. Finland has it in clubs already so done good LMD. Adam was fantastic last night and looked so sexy and handsome.
I didn't see anything about HB as next single on twitter. Checked other fansites didn't see anything about it. Can you give us a source where you got this info.?
I was referring to the LMD single he said it was most definitely gonna be a single and probably next one. However doubt anything is set in stone yet for any third single. The second one not dropped yet in most places this is 8.19. Think just trying to stir things up doubt this person a fan. Wants to throw water on how happy people are about Adams reviews and how well he did last night. If you pretend to be a fan people believe it more.time will tell no use in worrying about a random rumor.
I wonder if Paula Abdul might have been in the audience last night to hear Adam and Queen perform. She surely loves Adam since his AI days. I was just thinking that it really took a lot of courage for Nate to perform after Adam. You almost had to take him in jest. Can you even imagine if some current band member would have wanted to perform with Elton John? NOT!
I think he would have been gracious. He was the newcomer once, plus he did not have a great voice but he was an entertainer. I think Nate is an entertainer and very likeable.
Nate is a cutie and seems like a nice guy. Such an honour for him to perform with Queen.
Adam IS a "current popstar." No "lack of." But great that he more than compensated - he ruled!!
