Yea, this picture captured my attention...the beautiful Chinese girl, and look at Adam's face! lwl! I've said this before...Chinese girls have great affinity with Adam and Adam kind of likes Chinese girls...Mmm Adam, werk, twerk, surge, splurge oooh-la-la! Shanghainese girls are tall and slim...that's where the high-slit cheongsam took root; understandable with their slender, longish legs.
Oh, there was an incident on the red carpet that made me laugh a lot. It wouldn't look funny to most. This red carpet guy interviewed Adam and asked at the end, perhaps he ran out of better things to ask. He said: Are you with your group of friends? Adam was looking pretty lost and started pointing all over the place and said: They're out there somewhere...so funny and cute, with his sweeping gesture out to the audience. I think he was pretty much on his own with his manager and perhaps a couple more. But of course, his Shanghainese fans always have his back as seen in the award ceremony.

@ Lam-my.......JAK here.......I fell in love with the cheongsam dress in a movie titled Love is a Many Splendored Thing in 1955.........I kept my mother busy making that style in all different beautiful fabrics.....she also made the braid frog fasteners. I wore those dresses for the next few years.

I loved the style and since I too was tall and slim they suited me perfectly. I don't believe I ever had a dress style that felt more feminine or more beautiful. : )

Whoa JAK, yea I can imagine, you looking tall and beautiful in cheongsam. It takes a great hourglass figure to carry it. I wore cheongsam and I did look good in it; 5'3", would not look as flamboyant as you but did get quite a lot of attention because I did have a natural sexiness to carry it. lol! But the very high slits were synonymous with tall Shanghainese girls. See, Adam knows authentic beauty when he sees it. lwl! Hey JAK, perhaps like he says he always tries everything at least once...oooh-la-la!

The actress's dress would never work for me. I'm 5'5" and haven't worn high heels in years. I'd look like a naked stump in that dress, but she looks gorgeous. She's like a fashion accessory for Adam. LOL.
