Let's sell out every venue and show Adam & Queen how much we love them. Come On Glamberts !!!

Anonymous said...

I don't get why people are invested to report that venues are almost sold out. They aren't completely sold out. I checked tickets for LA Forum and there are plenty of floor, lower level, and upper level tickets available on ticketmaster.com, stubhub.com, ticketliquidator.com and others. Fans should stop reporting that venues are almost sold out. Losing potential fans to buy tickets with these type of reporting.

We won't know the exact numbers of tickets sold until the day of the concerts or afterwards reported by venues.

I read that you can go to the venues' box offices to get tickets cause they hold some tickets as well.

glad the tickets are selling so well! Makes me smile!

there are only a few scattered seats left for MSG. "Sold Out" does not mean that there is no way for Glamberts to get face value tickets. Many venues do hold back tickets for the day of the show to be sold at the venue box office. That is something that every concert goer knows to research. Are some people really dumb enough to look at a post on Adam 24/7 and then say "oh they said its sold out i guess i can't go"

@4.42pm
I kind of agree with you...it seems to me looking in from the outside that tickets are sold through many different sites in the US, main one being Ticketmaster.....and all these sold out or almost sold out seem to be coming from people trying to buy tickets on ticketmaster when other sites still have lots of tickets available. Its just a bit misleading....

Anonymous said...

5:00 it might discourage someone of course and often these things are being reported on twitter too.

Anonymous said...

That's wrong saying that they are sold out. There are countless ticket brokers holding many tickets hostage at higher prices. No one is sold out.

Anonymous said...

Why the need to be the first to declare a venue sold out???? Does it make a person feel important? It's not true anyway, you just discourage people from making plans to attend like 5:38 PM said. It's nothing but rumor spreading.

Anonymous said...

Should read Ticketmaster almost sold out . . .go to other sites for tickets

Anonymous said...

If you are saying that tickets being available on secondary market like stubhub and vivid seats means a show isn't sold out then not a single show has ever sold anywhere or anytime. There are always ways to get tickets after a show is sold out. Do some research before making idiotic comments. Thanks

Anonymous said...

@HKfan It's just too early to report sold out online when the concerts are three months away. Some who want to be at the concert will be disappointed. There are lots of tickets still in the market. On ticketmaster.com none the less at tickets' face value.

Anonymous said...

It is weird that some people want to be the first to declare something sold out and we saw that wasn't true with the Las Vegas venue.

Of course we want this tour with Adam and Queen to be successful but it doesn't need to sell out in 3 minutes like a Justin Bieber concert to be successful.

I agree, the comments about sold out here and on twitter do discourage people from looking into getting tickets. I have seen the reply tweets that show people believed the sold out tweet.

Technically speaking, if a show has all the tickets sold that are offered by the official ticket selling entity, ie Ticketmaster, for that particular concert, then it is "officially" "Sold Out" ie no more tickets currently available on Ticketmaster, etc.. . As in all of the tickets have been bought by **someone**, no matter if it's a private individual who will use the ticket themselves, or if others have bought up the tickets for use for free tickets given out to listeners, or by other entities to resell, for use for radio execs, DJ's etc.. etc..

And some or many of those tickets end up on reseller sites.. like Stub Hub. So it may officially be "sold out", but for those of us who have some past experience in buying concert tickets, sporting event tickets, theater tickets, etc.. etc.., when they are very popular, we have learned that "sold out" usually doesn't mean that at all. That tickets can almost always be found somewhere, for a price.. There ARE times when you can't find a ticket no matter how hard you search, but that's seemingly rather rare.. And of course there are those last minute ticket releases.. Unused "friends and family and VIP, etc.." tickets that come up for sale at the last minute also..

What I'm trying to say is, perhaps don't get on people's cases too much when they talk..or tweet...about a venue being sold out.. I think in this instance, it's meant to be an EXCITING thing, because it means that there is very big interest in this Queen + Adam Lambert Tour and it's exciting that tickets have sold quickly... and well.

Pretty sure people will find out how to get tickets one way or the other. I learned early on in my Adam Lambert fan "career" :) that sold out doesn't always mean exactly that and I could find tickets if I really wanted to go to a concert. If people are on twitter, and are reading about the sold out venues, they'll most likely also find out how to get tickets other ways.. Lots of info about how to do that out there in the Twitterverse..and Facebook/social media, etc..

5pm - gosh, talk about rude

Anonymous said...

5:30 tickets held/picked up by brokers are indeed sold, they hope to sell them at higher prices, if no one buys them they are still "sold". so laughable how people want to minimize how great this is for Queen and Adam

Anonymous said...

Glitzylady has explained it so it is settled now.

Anonymous said...

Thank you @glitzylady

I'm extremely happy with the interest in the concerts. Whether the interest is with Queen or Adam or both....it's all good! For me it indicates that there are thousands of people who have taste in good music. I mean....don't the most 'popular' artists sell their venues? Or at least....that's what we're led to believe.

We're talking about Queen and Adam Lambert, folks!! This is an epic collaboration on many levels.

So what if the excitement of sold out venues is communicated vis social media? My take....probably inspires the naysayers to take notice. Could intrigue them to the point of searching for tickets.

It's great that shows are selling so well. Just don't say sold out prematurely and scare off those who aren't as experienced in buying tickets as the fans who have been to multiple shows and have either learned or are willing to take the extra steps to get tickets.

Anonymous said...

Most people aren't avid fans and aren't going to go to the trouble of looking for other sources of tickets if they hear sold out when it isn't sold out. There is no shame in not being sold out on the day they go on sale.

Anonymous said...

the Legends sale out the Garden. I guess that only says one thing. hmmmmmmmm

Anonymous said...

Sold out but tickets at an exorbitant price still available .... sucks for those who cannot afford exorbitantly priced tickets. Furthermore, most people like to purchase their tickets a long way in advance to be sure they've got tickets, not wait 'til the 11th hour to buy them, and especially if they live a long way from the venue.

Anonymous said...

There are still some tickets available through Groupon for those on a budget.

Magiclady said...

I for one, love hearing that the Garden is sold out, or almost sold out etc. It's a big influential place and the fact that tics are selling this fast is amazing!

@Anon 8:42 PM
No one said there aren't reasonably priced tickets available right now. Not all tickets are ridiculously priced "scalper" tickets. I have friends that have bought tickets, found others they like better, or bought for themselves and other friends and relatives, and didn't need them because the friends bought some too. That's happened to me and my group of concert-attending friends. None of us want to make massive amounts of money on the unused tickets. But we need a place to offer for resale if no one we know personally needs them.
We don't want those seats to go to waste! There are MANY options for finding tickets that aren't grossly overpriced that are available NOW.

For instance, this is the link to Stub Hub for Madison Square Garden. The tickets start at a completely reasonable price of $105, on up to some over the top ridiculously priced tickets at $11,000, which pretty much no way in h*** will sell.

There are 29 pages of tickets there, for a total of 1,770 tickets available on there at this moment. And probably more to follow.

Link for Stub Hub: Queen Plus Adam Lambert
Madison Square Garden Thursday July 17th 7:30 PM

http://www.stubhub.com/queen-tickets/new-york-madison-square-garden-17-7-2014-9000259/

There are other options as well: Vivid Tickets, etc.. etc..

And ALWAYS check the venue itself...tickets are often released later..

The point is, there are plenty of quite reasonably priced tickets out there even if the venue is "officially" sold out, or nearly sold out, if you or anyone else would like to go there and buy one.. or 10. So purchase away........ and spread the word to those who think they've missed out.

And another option for finding reasonably priced tickets for Queen and Adam Lambert North America Concert Tour

For fans selling to fans:

@Adam_Tickets on twitter.

Also a place to post requests for tickets..

glitzylady said...

Adam's tweet about this subject just now:

Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert 41m
We sold out Madison Square Garden!?! Woah!! @QueenWillRock

I imagine he and Queen are very very very pleased! To say the least.... :)))

Anonymous said...

@glitzylady these venues will be sold out for real when non to these resellers have any tickets left. I'm sure that Bryan, Roger and Adam will be happy to see full house instead of get money for half sold venues. You still can buy the tickets for Vegas show. And this is just 4,000 seats venue.

@Anon 10:40 PM
Did you read my comments/posts at 6:46 PM and 9:40 PM????????

I spelled that out very specifically.. I know exactly how this all works. Read the first one at 6:46 PM again.... I understand very well what you are talking about.... And said so very clearly..

Anonymous said...

I don't understand why adam tweeted that. There are tickets available, I just checked

glitzylady said...

The only tickets available on Ticketmaster for Madison Square Garden (that I'm seeing on the site) currently are "Official Platinum Seats". There are exactly 18 of those tickets available. They are priced from $450 to $795.

The Ticketmaster site for MSG says there are no tickets available at this time online (on their site) other than those....

There are many tickets available elsewhere as noted above...

Anonymous said...

On pre sale when I bought our tickets for MSG, those floor area front of stage was for $1500-2000.

Anonymous said...

Those $105 tickets on stubhub are ridiculously overpriced nosebleed seats.

Anonymous said...

LOL, ridiculous.

I'm greedy. This tour is a huge summer event and is the world-wide media. I want to see Brian, Roger and Adam on the cover of RS. (Has Queen ever been on the cover before?) I want to see Adam hosting SNL and performing on it, too. I can't help it. I just would love to see Adam get the high-level attention he deserves from getting this incredible gig. I'll just keep dreaming and hoping.

Glitzlady always has to be right.

I just try to give out the correct info, to the best of my knowledge. Particularly if there is confusion about something. I always HOPE it's right... :) If I'm wrong, I'll admit it...and do. There is always a whole lot of misinformation out there. Some of it on purpose... and most of it because people don't have the full story.. Take it or leave it... I'm only trying to help.....

1.06pm Don't be so snarky. Glitzylady always gives good, well researched and clear information. She is being helpful, she dosnt need to go out of her way to help others but she does. Be grateful.

Good Grief!

All this back and forth about sold out vs. not sold out.

I'm with team SOLD OUT all the way. Isn't this great news?

@Glitzylady has been very helpful and has imparted great stats. What's wrong with looking at the glass half-full? Aren't sold-out venues what we fans hoped would happen? If Katy Perry and Justin Bieber can have sold-out venues, then why can't we celebrate Queen and Adam's success. If there are tickets to be found,Adam's fans will find them. They are a resourceful group. If they're not available and they've tried (like I did for Toronto),then they try again. I'm going to Montreal because my hubby wanted to make sure I got tickets with good seats. i would not allow him to take out a small mortgage for the platinum seats....which at the time in Toronto...were the only seats available.

Unbelievable negativity on this board from some.
